Horus, the Egyptian god in Alien Art Hive? Does that really fit here?
Well, that really might depend on who you ask about it. If you would ask me - At least in my own imagination for this picture, he is a giant human-like but enlightened alien.
But even beyond that - Sure, he's an alien. :-D

Horus, der Àgyptische Gott in Alien Art Hive? Passt das hier wirklich hinein?
Nun, es kommt immer darauf an, wenn man diesbezĂŒglich fragt. Wenn du mich fragen wĂŒrdest - Zumindest ist meiner eigenen Fantasie fĂŒr dieses Bild, ist er ein gigantischer, menschenĂ€hnlicher, aber erleuchteter Alien.
Aber auch darĂŒber hinaus - Klar, ist der ein Alien. :-D
About the picture
Welcome to one of the audience halls of Horus. However, this famous god is not the main character in my picture.
He anyway just sits there and is amazed when the little bold but self-confident girl with dirty feet and a bouquet of flowers in her hand stomps towards his throne, smilingly holds out the bouquet to him and shouts "Only for you, Mr.Horus!".
That surely would have been a faux pas in old the days when Horus still gave audiences on earth.
But I am quite sure that at that time only the priests would have been piqued about a child's behaving in such a way. Horus himself, hardly anyone knows nowadays, is not only a god of light and war. He once also was widely known as a protector of the children.
So, my picture is not only a tribute to this child-protecting god. Rather, I wanted to show how wonderfully open and courageous children often are, and that we adults should not consider ourselves too important in front of them.
Let's be more like Horus. Let's always be amazed and happy whenever we meet such children.
I have made the picture in Blender and GIMP. The base scene, I have made in Blender and then I improved it in GIMP, added new elements using Photobashing techniques and painted lights and shadows.

Willkommen in einer Audienz-Halle des Horus. Um diesen berĂŒhmten Gott geht es aber in meinem Bild nicht als Hauptdarsteller.
Er sitzt ohnehin nur da und staunt, als das kleine freche, aber selbstbewusste MĂ€dchen mit dreckigen FĂŒĂen und einem StrauĂ Blumen in der Hand Richtung seinem Thron stapft, ihm lĂ€chelnd den BlumenstrauĂ entgegenstreckt und ruft "Nur fĂŒr dich, Herr Horus!".
Das wÀre sicher ein Fauxpas in den alten Zeiten gewesen, in welchen Horus noch Audienzen auf der Erde gab.
Ich bin mir jedoch ziemlich sicher, dass sich damals nur die Priester ĂŒber solch ein Verhalten eines Kindes pikiert hĂ€tten. Horus selbst, das weiĂ heute kaum mehr jemand, ist nicht nur ein Gott des Lichtes und des Krieges. Auch als BeschĂŒtzer der Kinder, war er einst weithin bekannt.
Mein Bild ist daher nicht nur ein Tribut an den Kinder beschĂŒtzenden Gott. Vielmehr wollte ich damit herausheben, wie wunderbar offen und mutig Kinder oft sind, und dass wir Erwachsene uns dagegen vor ihnen nicht so wichtig nehmen sollten.
Lasst uns mehr sein wie Horus. Lasst uns stets staunen und freuen, wann immer wir solchen Kindern begegnen.
Ich habe das Bild in Blender und GIMP gemacht. Die Basis-Szene, habe ich in Blender gemacht und dann in GIMP verfeinert, neue Elemente mithilfe Photobashing-Techniken hinzugefĂŒgt und Lichter und Schatten gemalt.

Here, in the Alien Art Hive Community, the art doesn't have to be space or alien oriented. This is a community for all artists and artworks... but especially for the strange and unusual. So, Horus (alien or not) fits right in. I love the little girl and the concept. Great job! =)
