Discover the beauty of Kon Ko Tu community tourism village

in Pinmapple2 years ago

Hi Hivers, how are you today?
Today I will take you to a tourist destination where we can admire the unspoiled beauty and learn about the rich culture of Bah Nar ethnic minorities. Located about 8km east of Kon Tum city center, Kon Ko Tu community tourism village still retains the unique architectural and cultural values of the ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands in general and Bah Nar ethnic group in particular.

Architecturally, the main highlight in the Bah Nar village is the communal house, which is used as a place to gather, exchange, discuss and welcome guests of the villagers. The communal house was built in the middle of the village and surrounded by the traditional stilt houses of the Bah Nar people. Thankfully, there are still a lot of traditional stilt houses preserved in Kon Ko Tu village. The traditional stilt houses of the Bah Nar people are built with environmentally friendly materials. The columns, beams and trusses are made of wood, the walls are built of earth, and the roof is roofed with tiles fired from clay. Just by looking through the traditional stilt houses, we can see the rustic life of the people there. In addition, in the village there is a large church built entirely of wood. I was quite surprised to learn that Christianity is the main religion in this village. And it's even more interesting to know that this village has another name which is "Western Village" because many French men used to come here to marry the local girls in the village.

In terms of culture, Kon Ko Tu community tourism village still retains the unique cultural features of the Bah Nar ethnic group. If you have the opportunity to stay with the Bah Nar people, I am sure you will discover a lot of interesting things about the customs and habits of the Bah Nar people. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to experience canoeing on Dak Bla river, bamboo knitting, brocade weaving, wine making, musical instrument making and cultural exchange of gongs, etc.

Despite the busy and hectic life of the outside world, people in Kon Ko Tu village lead a simple and rustic life. Most of the villagers make a living by working in the fields, weaving bamboo, weaving brocade, making wine, making handicrafts, etc. Nowadays, many people have started to pay attention to this village. Some villagers have started homestay business. Look at the children playing happily, I'm sure you will feel the simple and happy life of the people in the village.

The communal house is the main highlight in the Bah Nar village.
