Discover the unspoiled beauty of Viring village

Hi Hivers in the Pinmapple travel community, it's me again, dodovietnam here. In my journey to find and discover the beauty of mysterious villages in the highlands of Vietnam, today I would like to introduce you to Viring village. Viring village is a small village of the Xo Dang ethnic minority, located in Dak Tang commune, Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province. As a remote commune, it still retains its unspoiled beauty.

Viring village is located about 20km from the center of Mang Den town. To get here, we can follow the provincial road DT676. This is the only road leading to the village. This road is quite narrow and goes through passes and forests. I enjoyed driving on this road because of the beautiful scenery on both sides of the road. Although the distance is only about 20km, it took me about 1 hour to drive there because the road is narrow, winding and there are many potholes in the road. And to get into this village, we have to go through a ranger's guard station. The rangers will check our vehicles before opening the barrier to make sure no one can bring anything out from the forest. This is what I like very much, because only then can we preserve the beautiful nature here.

Although the journey there is a bit arduous, the reward is worth it. When I reached Viring village, I was really breathless because of its beauty. It was just a small village nestled between the surrounding mountains and the forest. There is only a small road leading into the village. Looking down from the hill, the village is beautiful in the afternoon sun. When I entered the village, I liked it even more. Most of the houses in the village are quite small and made from wood on the ground, everything here is very close to nature. The communal house was built at the highest position in the village. For the Xo Dang ethnic minority and some other ethnic minorities in Vietnam, the communal house is very sacred, so it is always located in the most important position of the village.

People here are quite friendly, they greeted me with smiles when I entered the village. They mainly make a living by farming, raising livestock, going to the forest and fishing in nearby Dak Tang Lake. With special weather and soil conditions, there are many precious medicinal herbs found here such as ginseng, dong quai, honey, black ginger, etc. In addition, coffee trees are also commonly grown here. With a year-round cool climate and fertile basalt soil, the arabica beans grown here are of excellent quality. Although life is quite hard, but I can see the locals here lead a very simple and happy life.

And the last thing I love about this village is the beauty of the nature around it. Surrounded by mountains and forests and located next to Dak Tang lake, the village has a poetic beauty. I was so fascinated with the beauty of nature there that I stayed until dark to admire the sunset there. I envy the locals there because they can enjoy such a beautiful sunset every day 😁. I chose a good location on a high hill to watch the sunset over Dak Tang Lake. Fresh air, quiet surroundings, and beautiful sunsets, I couldn't expect more for a wonderful afternoon at Viring Village.
