See The World #40 - Fereastra Zmeilor (Kite's Window)

We often fall in love with places that are meant to offer the best view after the hardest climb, but in reality, the best reward is when you step over the last rock of a mountain peak and realize there is nothing else where you could go higher because one more time is proved the fact that the sky is not the limit.

And while you leave back the clouds and the fog which seems like is one step behind your journey, there's nothing left but just a huge panoramic over some of the highest mountains Romania is proud of, and where you can set free your adventurous spirit.

It's true that the whole trip took us around 7 hours but it's far from our longest journey to the mountains, but quite long considering that we took it after a few months of lockdown, but if it wasn't to that direction, what better way to fill our lungs with some fresh air after so much time spent locked between 4 walls?

Anyway, the journey is not about how much time you spend on the way to the destination, but about how it makes you feel while you are going to jump from a season to another, hitting the road with the sun rays caressing your body, then slowly feeling some raindrops who want to bring some fresh touches to the adventure, being followed by some areas with snow. Yep, snow in July.

The place you'll see in the video I already wrote about and you can find more about it on here:

  1. Fereastra Zmeilor (Kite's Window)

The trip was taken in July 2020, and it represents one of our latest most serious hikes to the mountains due to the pandemic which kind of affected our training but hey, we are far from running out of places to discover together, so stay tuned! :)
