Si tuviera $1000…

If I had $1000...

El punto de partida de mi viaje sería Puerto Ordaz, Estado Bolívar, Venezuela, rumbo a La Gran Sabana. Viajaría por carretera, aproximadamente 8 horas, hasta llegar al Municipio Gran Sabana y acamparía un día en la comunidad de San Francisco de Yuruaní (Kumarakapay, en idioma pemón) para visitar a unos nativos muy amigables que me recibieron con mucho cariño en un viaje anterior.

The starting point of my trip would be Puerto Ordaz, Bolivar State, Venezuela, towards The Gran Sabana. I would travel by road, approximately 8 hours, until arriving at the Gran Sabana Municipality and would camp one day in the community of San Francisco de Yuruaní (Kumarakapay, in the Pemón language) to visit some very friendly natives who received me with much affection in a previous trip.

Al día siguiente, me trasladaría unos 6 kilómetros para visitar el Balneario natural de Sorowöpo, admirar la inmensidad de la sabana desde las alturas, luego caminar río abajo para disfrutar de las cascadas y sentir la adrenalina de dejarme llevar por la fuerza de la corriente del río, deslizándome en el súper tobogán natural constituido por formaciones geológicas de “Toba”, una piedra rojiza, similar al Jaspe. 🤸🏼‍♀️YAAAAAS!

The next day, I would travel about 6 kilometers to visit the natural Spa of Sorowöpo, admire the immensity of the savannah from the heights, then walk downstream to enjoy the waterfalls and feel the adrenaline of letting myself be carried away by the force of the river's current, sliding down the natural super-slide made up of geological formations of "Toba", a reddish stone, similar to Jasper. 🤸🏼‍♀️YAAAAAS!

Posteriormente me regresaría al campamento a descansar, para salir al día siguiente a la comunidad indígena de Paraitepuy, a 25 km de distancia, donde iniciaría la excursión rumbo al Tepuy Roraima.

Later I would return to the camp to rest, to go out the following day to the indigenous community of Paraitepuy, 25 km away, where I would begin the excursion towards the Tepuy Roraima.

Esta excursión dura aproximadamente 7 días, 2 a 3 días subiendo para lo cual se deben tener las condiciones físicas necesarias para hacerlo, 2 días en la cima y luego el retorno para bajar. Obligatoriamente, se debe ir acompañado de un guía y un portador del baño, además, contrataría a alguien que me ayudara a cargar el equipaje para que me rinda la fuerza para toda la aventura.

Comenzado el trekking, dormiríamos los dos primeras noches en los campamentos respectivos o puntos destinados para ello, y una vez en la cima dormiríamos en los hoteles naturales formados por las cuevas que nos protegerían del sol, viento y lluvia.

En la cima estaría totalmente extasiada, queriendo conocer el abismo, el valle de cristales, los distintos miradores y jacuzzis naturales.

This excursion lasts approximately 7 days, 2 to 3 days climbing for which you must have the necessary physical conditions to do so, 2 days on the summit and then the return to descend. It is obligatory to be accompanied by a guide and a toilette holder. I would also hire someone to help me carry my luggage so that I have the strength for the whole adventure.

Once the trekking has started, we would sleep the first two nights in the respective camps or points destined for it, and once at the top we would sleep in the natural hotels formed by the caves that would protect us from the sun, wind and rain.

At the top I would be totally ecstatic, wanting to know the abyss, the valley of crystals, the different viewpoints and natural jacuzzis.

Sin duda, le daría mucha importancia a mi preparación física y mental para esta gran aventura, que representa un reto para el turista, en todos sus ámbitos. También asumiría el compromiso de seguir todas las sugerencias de los guías para hacer de esta experiencia la mejor.

Without a doubt, I would give a lot of importance to my physical and mental preparation for this great adventure, which represents a challenge for the tourist, in all areas. I would also assume the commitment to follow all the suggestions of the guides to make this experience the best.

Al regresar de la travesía, sí aún me quedan fuerzas😄, pasaría a visitar el Salto de Agua Fría del Parque Nacional Canaima, para comprobar que el agua es tan fría como reseñan. Me zambulliría, nadaría un rato y contemplaría toda la belleza del paisaje y su fauna variada.

When I return from the trip, if I still have the strength😄, I would like to visit the Salto de Agua Fría in Canaima National Park, to check that the water is as cold as they say it is. I would dive in, swim for a while and contemplate all the beauty of the landscape and its varied fauna.

Y así finalizaría mi travesía por el Municipio Gran Sabana, retornando ahora mi lugar de residencia en el Municipio Caroní, ambos ubicados en el Estado Bolívar, Venezuela.

And so I would end my journey through the Gran Sabana Municipality, returning now to my place of residence in the Caroní Municipality, both located in the State of Bolivar, Venezuela.
