Inday Clara travels Solo #36 - Unleashing my inner child at the Cartoon Network Amazone Park!

My last stop for my Thailand trip was the all famous Cartoon Network Amazone Park! I was excited for this one. The only reason why I bothered to traveled all the way to Pattaya from Bangkok Thailand was to unleash my inner child. Sounds like I was deprived from my childhood? Sort of. 😅 Was so obsessed with my academic life. All those books and needing to achieve high grades. So its like a dream come true to visit this place for those growing up watching Cartoon network during their childhood years.

PLANNING STAGE

Tickets can be purchased online. I got mine from Klook.com which costs me around Php 1,200 back then. The ticket gives you a 1 day access to the waterpark, a free locker and a meal set. If you are traveling alone just like me, might as well pay a little extra for a round trip transfer. Saves a lot of hassle.

I only stayed for two nights in Pattaya so I booked at a hostel for about Php 500 a night. As I said, I only came for the Waterpark and nothing else so I didn't really venture out any place there. Perhaps to fill my tummy with food but that was just about it.

Things to bring to the water park: towel, change of clothes, and a waterproof camera.

ITS ALL ABOUT THE RIDES!

The Cartoon Network Amazone Themepark is divided into 6 zones. 3 zones with water slides namely the Omniverse Zone, Adventure Zone, and Cartoonival Zone. The 3 other zones are without water slides: Riptide Rapids, Mega Wave, and Surf Arena.

It may just be a few but its better to prioritize the rides which you wanted to go on first since this place gets crowded right away. So let me give you a tour of some rides I've taken and the other attractions I've enjoyed.

You would want to go to the Omniverse Zone first because here is where all the adrenaline rides are. Also, it would take you about 5 to 6 floors of stairs to reach the top.

HUMUNGASLIDE

The humungaslide is a dual-lane raft slide which requires you to grab a tube and go through the twists and turns with a partner. Your heart will surely skip a beat once you get to that 8m high drop towards the Humungasaur's mouth.

GOOP LOOP

Nothing is more scarier than waiting for that trap door to open while standing inside the Goop Loop's capsule. Its a 12 meter high free fall then towards a 360 degree loop. I went twice here since I came in early and didn't have any competition.

INTERGALACTIC RACERS

The Intergalactic Racers is best if you want to have a fun race with your friends. Its a multi-lane water slide where 4 riders lie headfirst on mats through a series of bumps, turns and serpentine tubes.

ALIEN ATTACK

The most colorful ride would be the Alien Attack. Its a 2 lane water slide where you are required to go through with a partner using a dual raft just like in the picture. Its a 110 meter long adventure through colored tunnels and huge space shuttles.

THE OMNITRIX

This ride would require 3 to 4 people to go in one big raft and overcome a long twisted tube and into a huge sphere. This one is inspired by the Ben 10 cartoon.

ADVENTURE ZONE

The adventure zone consists of the Jake Jump, Banana Spin and the Rainfall Rainicorn. The must try here is the Jake Jump where 2 people ride a dual raft and is drop from a very steep slide to reach Jake's face on the other side.

If you're wondering how I got to ride all those rides that require a partner, its because of these two lovely womun I made friends there!

CARTOONIVAL

This is technically for children but adults are still allowed to enjoy and supervise their kids. I really love this one because it features the Powerpuff girls and Dexter's Laboratory - both my all time favorite cartoon characters. Well, I can't go in for the slides here anymore, too big to do this one. But it's lovely to see children having the time of their lives.

SURF ARENA

For those surf enthusiasts out there, might as well try the Surf Arena. Looks easy but it was really hard balancing on the board. And they won't allow you to get on this if you're just wearing a bikini like me so I had to go back to my locker and put on a shirt. When it was my turn, I was really nervous. I saw how a lot would fell right away and got carried by the fast current. But yeah, that is what happened to me too. 😂 I didn't even lasted a minute!

This ride can be enjoyed by both adults and children with the supervision of some staff.

RIPTIDE RAPIDS

If you do prefer a more relax way of enjoying the water park, you could also opt for the Riptide Rapides. It's a 335-meter long river around the Omniverse and Adventure zones. Just grab a solo raft/tube and have yourself drifted along this river.

MEGA WAVE

Lastly, don't miss out the Mega Wave. A very large outdoor pool where people are carried along an artificially generated large waves. There is a huge clock near the stage that would do a countdown each time a set of waves are made.

It gets very crowded here and more likely you will bump people. You must also wear a life jacket or a water tube near the stage. Its a bit deep for short people like me.

FOODVILLE

Let's talk about food! Food, beverages, and/or alcoholic drinks are not allowed inside. You got to really buy their stuff at the Foodville. It is lined up with stalls catering to different sort of food. There is also a tiki bar for your alcoholic needs. However, you might have to shed a bit more for the food. It's pretty much costly in comparison to buying outside.
