Considered one of the greatest construction works of the 17th century, Canal du Midi is a 240km long canal in Southern France. The canal runs from the city of Toulouse down to the Étang de Thau near the Mediterranean. It's truly Europe's oldest, largest, and most spectacular manmade waterway!
When I heard the word "Fench", my mind somehow associated it with two things: Paris and Canal du Midi. When I was a kid, I read, and watch lots of pictures of Canal du Midi, the beauty and tranquil scene captured my imagination. After a few decades later, I finally have the chance to visit Canal du Midi. It was surreal, I am enjoying it so much and I hugged some of the trees there! :D. Enjoy!
Thank you for traveling with me!
This is part of my ongoing Travel Visualclips, where I shared a glimpse of my travel visuals and thought. Each series features a paragraph of the history of the place and a paragraph of my thought. Accompanied by no more than fifteen carefully curated images, each series is intended to give readers the umami of travel.
