Hello everyone. Fang District, Chiang Mai Province, Thailand is a quiet rural district. Most of the population of this district are farmers. The area of this district is mostly farms, orchards and forests. And surrounded by many high mountains. You can see mountains everywhere in this district. Therefore, traveling to Fang District, besides you will see many beautiful temples, you also get to see beautiful nature.
Fang District has many natural attractions such as waterfalls, hot springs, mountain viewpoints, forests, flower gardens, camping, natural water sources, farms. In addition, there are many dams and reservoirs for agriculture. One of the dams and reservoirs of Fang District is the Mae Mao Dam.
Last week me and my wife see photos of Mae Mao Dam from facebook of my wife's relatives. We really like the natural view of Mae Mao Dam. Today my wife and I have free time. So we went to Mae Mao Dam and I took pictures of the scenery around the dam to share with friends.
Mae Mao Dam is a government office and this dam is open as a natural tourist attraction too. When me and my wife reached Mae Mao Dam, we parked our car in the parking lot and we could walk inside to see the beautiful of this dam without asking permission from the government officials.
Mae Mao Dam is a hydropower dam to generate electricity. And also a large reservoir used for consumption and agriculture of Mon Pin Subdistrict, Fang District.
The natural view around the dam is very beautiful and fascinating. Me and my wife enjoy and relax with nature and I think it's worth traveling about 34 kilometers to visit the nature of this place.
Except to seeing the natural view area the dam, we also get to see the natural view of the orange groves and farms in that area from the dam area as well. This orange orchard is named Thanatorn Orange Orchard 2, which is a famous large orange orchard of Fang District. It makes us love and fascinate with this natural attraction even more.
