Lost in Blausee - The Autumn Paradise

in Pinmapple2 years ago

Hi folks!

What is your favourite season? Mine is Autumn.
I like it because of many reasons. First of all, Autumn is my birth season, so it's very special to me. However, the biggest factor that makes me love autumn is its beauty. Thus, I want to introduce to you a destination that is especially breath-taking when the fall comes. The place is called "Blausee", which means "Blue Lake"in German. This is a natural alpine lake located in the Kandersteg area. It's one of the most well-known lakes in Switzerland (retrieved from https://packedagain.com/lake-blausee-switzerland/)

I mean... I'm speechless with this beauty. Is this place even real?.
The place was described as a "jewel of a landscape immersed in magical forest solitude" by a travel article (retrieved from https://www.myswitzerland.com/en-sg/destinations/blausee/). I've been to the lake in different seasons, and I have to admit that it's always beautiful despite the weather changes. However, Blausee's visual in autumn is insane. I'm in love with the contrast of the orange, red leaves and the crystal-clear deep blue water from the lake.

It's gorgeous from every angle.
The lake has a sunken statue, and there is a legend behind this. On the plaque of the statue, it is written that "In memory of the legend of the Blausee, the artist and sculptor Raphael Fuchs carved a statue of the beautiful young girl who was found dead in this lake many years ago. This was the place where she used to spend many romantic hours with her lover. After his sudden death, which she couldn’t come to terms with, she continued to return to the Blue Lake every night until she eventually died of grief herself. The blueness of the lake was apparently caused by her tears." (retrieved from https://newinzurich.com/2012/11/hidden-gems/). In fact, the factor that created the blueness of Blausee is the mineral rich mountain spring water from an underground source (retrieved https://packedagain.com/lake-blausee-switzerland/). However, I prefer the fairytale version, and I love that people keep the story alive.

Me and the lake :) I like that my outfit matched with the autumn vibes.

The lake is not too big so it may take only 30 to 45 minutes to explore around the lake. Besides, there is also a restaurant and café that is just next to the lake, so that visitors can rest here after walking, which is quite convenient. I've been there during winter and the café was a life saver, as the winter's weather there is kinda harsh and the café is a perfect shelter 😃

Blausee in winter. It's still stunning but the lake in autumn is just so special.

If you wonder why I didn't leave the lake and come back home instead of sheltering in the coffee shop, the bus schedule is the reason. There is only one bus every hour, so I had to wait. Thus, I recommend you check the schedule, and organize your activities to avoid the waiting if you go there by public transport.

I took a hundred pics while waiting for the bus to come :)))))

There is also a large parking lot in front of the place, so you can definitely drive there. One more thing, the entrance fee is 12 Swiss franc, but you can have it for only 6 Swiss franc if you bring your student card, so don't forget it (retrieved from https://www.blausee.ch/en/welcome/).

That's all for today. Thank you and see you next time!

OMG the water is almost surrealist!! That place is pure magic!! It seems like a perfect place. If you can visit it in around 30-45 minutes and then just go and take a coffee, it’s pretty cool, since you have almost extreme nature and some place to take a sit and share a good time while having something to eat or drink!

That's right. Having a meal with this stunning view will be a great experience!

Good pictures dear I like it .

Thanks a lot!
