[ENG]|[ESP] A visit to Tariba Town | Una visita al pueblo de Tariba

in Pinmapplelast year (edited)

Hello Pinmapple community, I hope you have a great day, my best wishes to all of you.

This is the first of a series of content that I will bring to you in the Pinmapple community, where I will be touring the entire state of Táchira and its municipalities, showing you the best of its capitals, both its monuments and its natural landscapes.

On this occasion I went to Táriba, Capital of the Cárdenas municipality located in the Táchira state, it is the closest municipality to my city and I visited its most iconic monuments / places in this municipality such as:

The well-known basilica of Táriba, its real name is Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation.

It was built in 1904, many religious acts are held here, it is a meeting place for many and it is a place that many Tachirenses carry in their hearts.

Another site that I visited was the well-known Tariba red square, named like that because it is made of pure bricks that were red at its time, obviously it have lost his color over time.

This is a meeting point for various recreational activities in Táriba, in this place we can also find kiosks with sales of typical sweets from our Tachirense region.

Another emblem of the town of Táriba is the Libertador Bridge, which, although it was built in 1930, is one of the most "elegant" bridges in the state of Táchira. This bridge was built to connect San Cristóbal (where I live) and Táriba.

Very close to the Libertador Bridge we have this monument that is nothing more and nothing less than a Lighthouse, but with the particularity that we do not have a beach or a lake or anything like that nearby.

The Navy Lighthouse was simply built as a monument to the Venezuelan Armed Forces, and time ago it used to be open to the public and people could climb its stairs and see a beautiful view from the top of the Lighthouse, currently it is closed I don't know for how long.

Táriba is a small but very cute town, these were its most important monuments, they are known in all the country, the bridge is even a Historical Heritage of Venezuela.

More than seeing the photos, I invite you to see the Hyperlapse that I made of these monuments, there you can appreciate better the beauty of these iconic places in Táriba.
