Introduction

Hello everyone! I am @ybanezkim26 and I'll be presenting today's edition of #TravelDigest. I have my bias when it comes to travel destinations so please indulge me on today's selections. Wait. Why am I explaining myself? 😂 Anyway, we have the famous plane wreck in Iceland, an island tour in the northernmost province in the Philippines, and a castle tour in United Kingdom in today's Top 3. Enjoy!

🥇 📷 The Last Days of the Plane by @sharker

Iceland is a country, known more for its endless natural attractions and gorgeous views. However, there are also man-made sights, among which, in addition to examples of old northern architecture and beautiful modern churches, there are some that, in fact, no one planned to place here. One of the most famous of such places is the crash site of the American DC-3 airplane — the wreck of this aircraft itself, combined with the place where it lies — on the black sand of wild Sólheimasandur beach, not far from the town of Vik and Cape Dyrhólaey.

🥈 Batanes: The Cultural Treasure of Northern Philippines (Post 2-2) by @storiesoferne

The last landmark that we left off on the previous post was Morong Beach (Number 15 on the guide map) where we had a sumptuous lunch and were fascinated by the famous natural stone arch. It was already dusk at that point, and it was time to for us to head back to the Port of Sabtang to journey back to the island of Batan to finish off our last destination for the day.

🥉 A Wander Around Dunster Castle, UK by @mudcat36

But when we were looking at homes in Exmoor (trying to go rural) we decided to hit the pause button and take a break. So we had a look about at what was still open and up popped the village of Dunster and more importantly Dunster Castle One of our normal pre covid hobbies has always been visiting historical sites, mooching about for extended periods, then having lunch somewhere. So in an attempt to play pre new normal normal, and break from the chaos of house hunting we pointed the car towards the coast and made for the village of Dunster.
