🥇 Exploring The Abandoned Operations and Office Block Atop The Mountain, Hongkong, China by @jane1289

On my way to the summit of the highest peak in Hong Kong last weekend, I stumbled upon an abandoned structure on the ridge located below the observatory radar. Each time I see abandoned buildings I always thought of the Urban Exploration Community by @slobberchops. I was walking along the ridge to take in the breathtaking views when I noticed the stairs leading down to the location. I was considering whether or not to raid it since I was alone. Who wants to enter an abandoned area alone, anyway?

🥈 Mud and Stick Mosques of Northern Ghana by @leifasaur

There are about 8 historic mud and stick Sudanese style mosques, Larabanga Mosque, Ghana. The above one is the Larabanga mosque. It is said to be the oldest dating back to 1421. It also has a very old Koran that was said to be given from the heavens in about 1560. The Larabanga mosque came to be from a traveler who slept next to a mystic stone in the area and had a dream that he should build a mosque. When he woke he found the foundation already started so he went to work and built the structure. His wish was that when he died he would be buried near the mosque. The baobab in the picture sprung up from the grave 3 days after his burial and has since been used for healing ailments in the village with the use of its leaves and fruit. This mosque has been restored a few times and is an important historical monument.

🥉 The Rupert Museum, Stellenbosch, South Africa by @fermentedphil

One of those things is art. Money and art are synonyms. Many have debated through the centuries what art is, and the focus is mostly on western perspectives. But the thing that most forget (or neglect) is that art equates to leisure which equates to money.
