45 years Old Tree || A walk to Shevchenko City Garden (Шевченковский городской сад) , Kharkov, Ukraine

in Pinmapple4 years ago

It's been 3 years since I have been staying in Kharkiv city, Ukraine. A long time isn't it, I never thought I could stay away from my own home, away from family but the reality is different and I adjusted with it. Why? Because I wanted my life. Anyway, I know now many places in Kharkiv city, I can pronounce the name of the places, monuments, and locations. This city is big like really big, much bigger than Dhaka city, the capital of Bangladesh.

Last year I have written a post called Taras Shevchenko Park and Monument, Kharkiv, Ukraine. If you want you can read it by clicking on the link. I have explored many locations, small parks, city gardens, and nice parks which are situated in Kharkiv city. Somehow I have visited this park many times.

This park is very identical, uniquely located in the city center. Some call it the zero point of Kharkiv city, some call it park and some call is garden. I have heard that once upon a time this park was a forest, like a deep forest. There were so many trees and there was nothing like a park, present scenario is completely different.

But one of the most interesting facts of this park is, here some of the trees are 45-60 years old. I think there are only 4-5 trees now which are showcased like this picture. This tree is holding the history, history of Taras Shevchenko Park.

I have visited this park many times, every year this park come up with some new unique design. Obviously, the basic landscape, urban design part remains same but I am talking about the features and extension parts.

For example, if you visit this part during fall, you will be able to see the colors and yellow maple trees. If you explore it during winter, you will see a white winter wonderland. Obviously, spring is all about flowers and you will be able to see different colors of tulips here...

And summer !!! It is all about music, green sunny days. Obviously you can step into the greens, you can enjoy them only.

It's a really well oriented, organized park...

This park is so big and divided into 3 different zones. At the center of the park, Taras Shevchenko monument located...

3 different zones are garden, monument, and water body zone. The waterbody zone is new, they tried to design its oriental garden style, following kind of victorian style park. If you check my previous post you will see it. I have mentioned all the details there so I am not going to write about it again.

This is the view of summer, bright day, beautiful green trees and meadow and nice gardens...

The location of this park is very unique as well because one side of this park is known as freedom square and another part of this park is known as Kharkiv Opera House and ballet theatre.

In the pictures, you will be able to see this beautiful park.

At the corner of the park, there is restaurants as well, a very beautiful Ukrainian food restaurant. Also, there is a metro station as well. Every structure of this location plays a significant role, in fact, the main street is different also.

I have seen many old trees before, I have seen 100 years old tree but the history was always hidden, nobody cares exactly. But I really liked how this tree is holding the history, the history of the forest, the history of the war, and the history of the Soviet Period.

I don't know much about Ukrainian history but I am learning. I am building a connection with this city. It's an old city which holds mystery and history...

That is a really pretty park, love how those flowers are done. Looks like a nice place to go for a walk.

I sometimes see trees that must be over 100 years old. Its always fun to think about all they have seen. That tree has been through WWII, from what ive read there was even at battle in 1941 against the Nazis in Kharkiv. Good to see that tree survived, just imagine all it would have seen if it had eyes.

Yes, I was thinking that too and this tree is a witness but it is silent, unfortunately. But it is holding all the histories, I have heard many things that happened in Kharkiv, many war have been placed once, I can't even imagine the moments or that time period... Hmm, I really found it interesting when I saw this tree, many people ignore but I saw it :D

That really is a beautiful park.

Exactly, it is a beautiful park to spend quality relaxing time...

This park is beautiful because the government always maintains this park and this is one of the significant biggest parks in Kharkiv city. Many people come here to explore this park and enjoy their time here. Whenever I go there, I always spend an hour walking and exploring this park...
