📷 Waterfall in the Himalayas

in Pinmapple3 years ago

Impressed by the @photovisions video with views from beautiful Iceland, I remembered that once, about 5 years ago, I made timid attempts to create a video. It was a very short-lived hobby, and in the end I had only 2-3 videos that I really liked. Still, photography is somewhat closer and easier to me.

So today I decided to share with you a couple of shots of one small, unnamed waterfall in the Indian Himalayas and one of the very few videos that I shot and edited. Let's take a short break from Pakistani stories, if you don't mind :))

Back in 2015, I went on my most serious, I think, mountain trekking — through the Indian Himalayas in the state of Himachal Pradesh (which in Hindi means "Country of Snowy Mountains"), in places where there were no tourists before us, as far as I know. Immediately upon returning home, I began to write a series of posts on this expedition, but for some reason I did not finish it then. I periodically remember it with sadness and I still wait for a surge of inspiration. Now I’m thinking, maybe I should finally finish and post this whole story here? Tell me if you are interested :)

As for this waterfall. It is placed on a small river that flows further into the Uhl River, less than 10 kilometers from the Thamsar Pass. We had to wade this stream of water just below the waterfall, since there was no other way. An unforgettable experience.

After that, having dried up in the shepherds' hut, I went to take pictures of the waterfall, and at the same time the beautiful mountain sheep and goats that grazed there. I walked these paths and thought how much people love beauty. Many of the most beautiful places there are already occupied by people, dwellings have been built there. Yes, perhaps these houses are unprepossessing, but what a view from their doorway!

The waterfall, of course, looks much more grandiose when you look at it from right there, but at least this way I can show it. Better to watch with sound!

I can even show the exact location of the waterfall. Usually, if a point is not marked as an object on a google map, then I can only indicate its approximate location on the map. But that time, upon returning home, I took the data from the navigator and even added my photo of the waterfall to the google map :)

It's better to watch the photos in high resolution.
