Sapporo Station is a major transportation hub in Hokkaido, connecting various train and subway lines, as well as long-distance buses and airport shuttles. It is located in the heart of Sapporo city and is easily accessible from many parts of the city. The station is also home to several department stores, including Daimaru, Stellar Place, and Esta, which offer a wide range of shopping and dining options.
Sapporo Station also offers a wide range of dining options, from traditional Japanese cuisine to international fast food chains. One must-try dish is Sapporo's famous miso ramen, which originated in Hokkaido. As mentioned in my previous blogs, we also tried the buffet as well as soba on the dining level of Daimaru, something not to be missed! There are always lots of people during lunch and dinner periods but the options there are extensive, something for everyone.
One of the highlights of my visit was the famous underground shopping arcade called Sapporoeki Underground Walkway. It is a range of shops, restaurants, and cafes spanning over many blocks connecting the station to various other buildings in the area. It was a perfect escape from the chilly weather outside and a great place to shop for a great shopping experience. These underground arcades were a life saver during our trip.
If the weather isn’t too cold, the buildings around the station are worth going to although they are all still connected to the underground shopping strips. We took the opportunity to do some shopping while the weather was warmer and got BB M some shoes. As we are tourists, we get tax-free on purchases over 5000 yen and some shops like BIC camera will give you additional discounts for using a particular credit card, app, and so on. So always check what offers they provide with the cards/memberships you have prior. With the current exchange rate to JPY, it is worth buying many things in Japan compared to back in Australia. Not only do you get tax free but the things are at least 1/3 cheaper due to the exchange rate.

Japan is really a nice country I must say.... There are lots of sightseeing and great views too.

That is also very famous place in the Sapporo. Best place of Sushi in the world.
japan is really nice! I would love to go there too.. we only had traveled to Tokyo!
