Lleve a Isabella a una feria de libros [SPA/ENG]

Hace unos días había en la ciudad donde vivimos, Salvador, una feria de libros llamada Bienal do Livro Bahía 2022, es tipo una convención de editoriales y autores que hacen cada dos años aquí, aunque por motivos de la pandemia no lo habían hecho. yo había visto la publicidad en Instagram y redes sociales, pero no había pensado en ir pues no es un evento gratuito, había que pagar la entrada.

Un amiga que es profesora me dijo que la entrada para estudiantes era mitad de precio y solo la entrada completa la tendría que pagar yo, tuve mis dudas pero Isa me insistió tanto que aparte algo de mis criptomonedas para llevarla uno de los días de la feria, pero para mi sorpresa Isa me llego feliz al día siguiente con dos entradas que le dieron en la escuela, resultó que una organización sin fines de lucro compro entradas para los estudiantes de las escuelas públicas para que pudieran asistir y beneficiarse de las actividades educativas que allí se presentaron. Así que más feliz que nunca nos dispusimos a ir a la Feria Bienal do Livro Bahia 2022.

No se si ya les he contado que a Isa le encanta leer, ella ama los libros y siempre que vamos a alguna tienda grande en el centro comercial, va directo a la sección de libros a escoger alguno de su preferencia, y tratamos de ayudarla en eso comprandole buenos libros por que no hay actividad mejor para un joven que leer. Así que al entrar en la Feria Isabella está realmente feliz, es que no hay palabras para describir la emoción de esta niña al estar rodeada de cientos, miles de libros.

Lo más curioso en este caso es que aunque nosotras como venezolanas hablamos el idioma español, todos los libros que Isa ha leído y tiene son en Idioma portugues, el idioma del país donde vivimos, que a pesar de parecerse mucho al español tiene sus grandes diferencias, pero eso es justo lo que a Isa le encanta, leer en portugues la ha enseñado a hablar el idioma de forma fluente, una anécdota sobre esto es que cuando nosotros llegamos a este país, yo comencé a trabajar de niñera en casa de una profesora, y ella me regaló unos libros para Isa, ella me dijo que justo eso la ayudaría a hablar portugues más fácilmente tenia toda la razon, pues Isa agarro esos libros con amor y los leyó tantas veces hasta entenderlos y descubrir qué es lo que decían, hoy en día ha leído de los mismos autores que recibió aquella primera vez y se ha convertido en fan de esas historias, como Anne de Green Gables, toda la saga de creo que 8 libros de la autora Lucy Maud Montgomery, también toda las ediciones del Libro de Aventuras de Ellie de la autora Ruth Mcnally Barshaw y asi por el estilo.

El lugar estaba lleno de gente, de todas las edades, incluso habían autores firmando libros, pero ya esto en el caso de los libros más serios o de temática adulta. Nosotras nos centramos en la parte infantil, había muchas ofertas, editoriales con “cualquier libro por 10 reales (2$)”, “3 libros por 15 reales (3$)”, en fin que había de todo y por supuesto Isabella se volvió loca pidiéndome que le comprara todos jajaja.

Lo primero que hicimos fue un recorrido por cada uno de los espacios, viendo cuales libros nos gustaban a ambas, cabe mencionar que yo encontré para mi muchos libros para colorear, pero eso es tema para otra ocasión, lo principal es que habían libros de las series que a Isa le gustan mucho, yo quería en serio poder comprarlos todos pues deverdad que son historias educativas con mensajes positivos y llenos de valores.

Bueno de esos libros encontramos las ediciones que le faltan a Isa por leer, y yo sinceramente quería comprarle todos, pero tuve que hacerla elegir apenas uno, con la promesa de buscar los otros en próximas ocasiones. Luego de esto mientras paseábamos nos encontramos con una obra teatral para niños sobre Aladdin, e Isa se quedó maravillada al poder ver esto en vivo y directo, así que nos quedamos allí durante toda la función para que ella lo disfrutara, fue hermoso.

Nos tomamos muchas fotos, había un stand de Frida Kalho hermoso decorado con flores, también un espacio donde se iba a realizar un conversatorio con algunos artistas brasileros, poetas, músicos y escritores, allí nos sentamos a descansar y comer una merienda. Para finalizar encontramos una tienda de cómics donde le compré a Isa dos historietas de la Turma da Monica y Minnie e Margarita (así se llama aquí a la Pata Daisy), y yo aproveche de comprarme dos libros para colorear que encontré a buen precio.

Con estos hermosos libros y momentos madre e hija nos fuimos a casa, felices de haber pasado una maravillosa tarde juntas, ansiosas para que vuelvan más ferias como esta a la ciudad. Estoy muy satisfecha de haber podido llevar a mi hija a esta feria pues fue una actividad muy bonita y constructiva, creo que uno de los mejores regalos que los padres podemos darle a nuestros hijos son libros, amor por la lectura y el hábito de leer pues un libro puede abrirle las puertas a muchos conocimientos, historias, e cultivar su imaginación.

I took Isabella to a book fair.

A few days ago there was in the city where we live, Salvador, a book fair called Bienal do Livro Bahia 2022, it is like a convention of publishers and authors that they do every two years here, although for reasons of the pandemic they had not done it. I had seen the advertising on Instagram and social networks, but I had not thought about going because it is not a free event, you had to pay the entrance fee.

A friend who is a teacher told me that the ticket for students was half price and only the full ticket I would have to pay, I had my doubts but Isa insisted me so much that I put aside some of my cryptocurrencies to take her one of the days of the fair, but to my surprise Isa came to me happy the next day with two tickets that she was given at school, it turned out that a nonprofit organization bought tickets for public school students so they could attend and benefit from the educational activities that were presented there. So happier than ever we set out to go to the Fiera Bienal do Livro Bahia 2022.

I don't know if I have already told you that Isa loves to read, she loves books and whenever we go to any big store in the mall, she goes straight to the book section to choose one of her preference, and we try to help her in that by buying her good books because there is no better activity for a young person than reading. So when Isabella enters the Fair she is really happy, there are no words to describe the emotion of this little girl when she is surrounded by hundreds, thousands of books.

The most curious thing in this case is that although we as Venezuelans speak Spanish, all the books that Isa has read and has are in Portuguese, the language of the country where we live, which despite being very similar to Spanish has its big differences, but that is just what Isa loves, reading in Portuguese has taught her to speak the language fluently, an anecdote about this is that when we arrived to this country, I started to work as a nanny in a teacher's house, and she gave me some books for Isa, She told me that just that would help her to speak Portuguese more easily, she was right, because Isa took those books with love and read them so many times until she understood them and found out what they said, today she has read the same authors she received that first time and has become a fan of those stories, like Anne of Green Gables, the whole saga of I think 8 books by the author Lucy Maud Montgomery, also all the editions of Ellie's Adventure Book by the author Ruth McNally Barshaw and so on.

The place was full of people, of all ages, there were even authors signing books, but this was only for the more serious or adult books. We focused on the children's part, there were many offers, publishers with "any book for 10 reais (2$)", "3 books for 15 reais (3$)", in short there was everything and of course Isabella went crazy asking me to buy all of them hahaha.

The first thing we did was a tour of each of the spaces, seeing which books we both liked, it is worth mentioning that I found for me many coloring books, but that's a topic for another time, the main thing is that there were books of the series that Isa likes a lot, I really wanted to buy them all because they are really educational stories with positive messages and full of values.

Well, from those books we found the editions that Isa still had to read, and I sincerely wanted to buy them all, but I had to make her choose just one, with the promise to look for the others in the next occasions. After this while we were walking around we came across a children's play about Aladdin, and Isa was amazed to be able to see this live and direct, so we stayed there during the whole show for her to enjoy it, it was beautiful.

We took many pictures, there was a beautiful Frida Kalho stand decorated with flowers, also a space where there was going to be a conversation with some Brazilian artists, poets, musicians and writers, there we sat down to rest and eat a snack. Finally we found a comic book store where I bought Isa two comic books of Turma da Monica and Minnie e Margarita (that's how Pata Daisy is called here), and I took the opportunity to buy two coloring books that I found at a good price.

With these beautiful books and moments mother and daughter went home, happy to have spent a wonderful afternoon together, anxious for more fairs like this one to come back to the city. I am very pleased to have been able to take my daughter to this fair because it was a very nice and constructive activity, I believe that one of the best gifts that parents can give our children are books, love for reading and the habit of reading because a book can open the doors to many knowledge, stories, and cultivate their imagination.
