The hat is large, hard and fleshy. It can be up to 15cm in diameter. Gray-green color. The skin is thick and dry. The gills are mostly white.Kapelusz duży, twardy bardzo mięsisty. Może mieć do 15cm średnicy. Kolor szarozielony. Skórka jest gruba i sucha. Blaszki są najczęściej białe.

The leg is very massive, hard and thick. The flesh is white, very fleshy, odorless and mild in flavor.Nóżka bardzo masywna, twarda, gruba. Miąższ w kolorze białym, bardzo mięsisty, bez zapachu o łagodnym smaku.

Yum, I have only found these once in the summer after some coolish weather and lots of rain. These are one of the few mushrooms that are eaten raw, once you cook them then they lose that nice firm texture since they are in the brittlegill family.
