Música y Estilo de la Película

Otro aspecto atrayente es el estilo musical que cuenta esta película, seremos testigos de varias canciones bastante pegadizas y en ocasiones con un toque latino distintivo reflejando la cultura caribeña. Desde mi punto de vista esta producción tiene un aroma que nos recuerda a la película COCO, aquella película ganadora del Oscar por mejor animación que mostraba una parte de la cultura mexicana, en la cual, la música también era protagonista en la trama. Esta película también nos envuelve en un ambiente movido pero con un ritmo bastante marcado. Creo que esta producción en influenciada por el éxito de COCO otorgándonos algo ligeramente parecido en esencia y tocando en cierto punto temas bastante sensibles donde probablemente más de un espectador pueda romper en llanto.

En cuanto a canciones tal vez no hay una verdaderamente significativa como en el caso de COCO la canción Recuérdame, sin embargo, habrá varios tonos pegadizos que pueden rondar en nuestras cabezas unos cuantos minutos luego de apagar la pantalla.

El mensaje básico de la mayoría de este tipo de películas se centra en la amistad, sin embargo, existe otro mensaje que me parece bastante relevante al momento de analizar esta animación. Desde mi punto de vista la película trasmite un mensaje sobre el tiempo, específicamente sobre lo que dejamos de hacer mientras el reloj sigue avanzando.

La película nos muestra desde una etapa temprana de la producción lo valioso del tiempo, sobre todo el que es invertido con seres amados, teniendo en cuenta que debemos expresar nuestros sentimientos a esos seres antes de que sea demasiado tarde, puesto que el tiempo sigue de manera inexorable su camino y nuestros cuerpos humanos no son eternos. Este aspecto en particular es el más emotivo de la película.

La animación es de calidad, ciertamente cumple con nuestras expectativas, los personajes son amigables y cálidos, sin embargo, podríamos esperar un poco más de calidad en cuanto a algunos detalles en la animación, sabiendo que es una película es producida por una compañía que competiría con Pixar por el trono en cuanto a animaciones.

Esta película animada es entretenida, para los más jóvenes de la casa es un momento divertido lleno de muchos colores y música, sin embargo, desde mi punto de vista la película no sobresale como lo esperaba. Tiene aroma a una de mis películas animadas favoritas pero realmente en cuanto al desarrollo de la historia y las emociones trasmitidas no es comparable.

Sinopsis:

Luca es un monstruo marino, que vive en el mar cerca de un pequeño pueblo costero en Italia, su curiosidad le llevará a la superficie a observar a los humanos muy de cerca, su cuerpo es transformado y pasará desapercibido entre los pobladores, descubrirá que no hay diferencias que puedan impedir la amistad.

Estilo de Película

Esta película de aventura me parece que tiene una esencia de originalidad propia, aunque no he visto muchas películas infantiles en estos últimos meses, creo que no puedo compararla con otra producción de animación ya que a pesar de encaminarse por un guion bastante conocido me parece que en cuanto al diseño, paleta de colores e historia desde mi perspectiva tiene un toque de originalidad y de personalidad resaltante.

Esta historia es bastante interesante, un monstruo marino que se mezcla con los seres humanos es algo atractivo para el espectador, nos presenta un ambiente bastante agradable en esta animación. El típico joven con un toque de rebeldía que intenta explorar el mundo, en este caso la superficie es el objeto de una gran curiosidad donde nuestro aventurero será participe de un cambio inédito en ese pequeño poblado italiano. Esto como en muchas películas nos muestra como ese joven desacata ordenes de sus padres de nunca subir a la superficie y menos acercarse a los humanos, pero siendo un soñador cumple con unir de alguna manera ambos mundos.

Esta película sin dudas lleva el sello de Pixar, es una producción de alta calidad con un diseño muy agradable no solo de sus personajes, sino que también con muchos detalles en toda la ambientación. Desde el momento que inicia la película la animación nos atrapa y capta nuestra atención hasta el final. Las escenas son excelentes tanto dentro como fuera del agua.

Mensaje

En este caso además del valor de la amistad la película nos muestra un mensaje de aceptación, donde las diferencias no son un impedimento para la amistad o la integración de otras personas, en este peculiar caso, monstruos marinos. Es un mensaje recurrente en este tipo de producciones y que es algo bastante acertado para que lo vean nuestros niños.

Esta es una muy entretenida película, pienso que tanto adulto en compañía de los niños puede convertirse en un momento bastante agradable, me parece que esta producción es de calidad así como nos tiene acostumbrados Pixar en sus animaciones. El valor de la amistad y la aceptación quedan implícitos en la producción dando un enfoque inclusivo a pesar de diferencias entre monstruos y humanos, quizás en este caso sea una fábula llena de fantasías, sin embargo, si lo colocamos en un contexto más realista podemos recibir una lección importante los adultos que vemos esta película.

Religión, genero, ideología y muchas otras cosas puede ser barreras para la inclusión de otras personas a un grupo social determinado, o como en el caso de Luca a descubrir un nuevo mundo aprendiendo en un colegio, algo impensado hasta ese momento. Es en definitiva un mensaje muy necesitado hoy en día y en este aspecto en particular no hablo exclusivamente en cuanto a los niños.

Sin dudas las recomiendo, así como lo he mencionado anteriormente es una entretenida producción, buen mensaje y una calidad en la animación así como solo Pixar nos hace volver a ser niños.

¿Cuál de ambas películas me Gustó Más? (Sony Vs Pixar)

Sin dudas Pixar vuelve a ganar esta batalla, desde mi punto de vista Luca tiene una mejor calidad en cuanto a su producción general, incluso con una mejor animación, a pesar de que Vivo aprovecha la música para trasmitir emociones de buena manera creo que Pixar sigue demostrando que es el rey en cuanto a animaciones en películas infantiles. En mi opinión Luca es mejor.

Both films are animated, however, their production companies are different, in the case of the film Vivo is produced by Sony Pictures Animation and distributed by Netflix, on the other hand Luca is produced by the Pixar group owned by the Disney company and of course we can enjoy it on Disney+. Perhaps both productions can entertain both adults and children, however, there are marked differences in these two films. At the end of this post I will tell you which of these two productions I found to be of higher quality.

🌴 Vivo 🇨🇺

Synopsis: Vivo is a kinkajou that has an enormous musical talent, being able to accompany his singing partner in rhythm, dance and instrumentally. This little animal must travel from Cuba to Miami to give an old song to a famous artist, thus fulfilling his owner's wish.

Movie Analysis

Story

I particularly love to see this kind of animated films reflecting different cultures than what we are used to in the movies, placing a Caribbean landscape I think is a good starting point for this production. Although culturally not all Latinos play an instrument and we are not all dancing in the plazas, this animation focuses initially on the center of Havana where this phenomenon occurs, I find it interesting to see Havana from an animation.

Music and Style of the Film

Another appealing aspect is the musical style of this film, we will witness several songs quite catchy and sometimes with a distinctive Latin touch reflecting the Caribbean culture. From my point of view this production has an aroma that reminds us of the movie COCO, that Oscar winning film for best animation that showed a part of Mexican culture, in which, music was also a protagonist in the plot. This film also envelops us in a lively atmosphere but with a quite marked rhythm. I think this production was influenced by the success of COCO, giving us something slightly similar in essence and touching at some point quite sensitive issues where probably more than one viewer may break down in tears.

The basic message of most of these types of movies focuses on friendship, however, there is another message that I find quite relevant when analyzing this animation. From my point of view the film conveys a message about time, specifically about what we stop doing while the clock is ticking.

The animation is of quality, it certainly meets our expectations, the characters are friendly and warm, however, we could expect a little more quality in terms of some details in the animation, knowing that it is a film is produced by a company that would compete with Pixar for the throne in terms of animations.

This animated movie is entertaining, for the youngest in the house it is a fun time filled with lots of colors and music, however, from my point of view the movie does not stand out as I expected. It has the aroma of one of my favorite animated movies but really in terms of the development of the story and the emotions conveyed is not comparable.

It is a recurring message in this type of productions and it is something quite accurate for our children to see.

This is a very entertaining movie, I think that both adults in the company of children can become a very pleasant moment, it seems to me that this production is of quality as we are used to Pixar in their animations. The value of friendship and acceptance are implicit in the production giving an inclusive approach despite differences between monsters and humans, perhaps in this case it is a fable full of fantasies, however, if we place it in a more realistic context we can receive an important lesson adults who see this film.

Religion, gender, ideology and many other things can be barriers to the inclusion of other people to a particular social group, or as in the case of Luca to discover a new world learning in a school, something unthinkable until then. Which of the two movies did I like the most? (Sony Vs Pixar)

Without a doubt Pixar wins again this battle, from my point of view Luca has a better overall production quality, even with a better animation, even though Vivo takes advantage of music to transmit emotions in a good way I think Pixar continues to prove that it is the king in terms of animation in children's movies. In my opinion Luca is better.
