Hola Hivers amantes de las películas y series. Últimamente he analizado y puesto bajo la lupa producciones relativamente nuevas, sobre todo si son de esas producciones que se agregan a los servicios de streaming, sin embargo, hoy quiero cambiar un poco la dinámica y quiero comenzar a mostrar mi opinión sobre algunas películas que si bien tienen tiempo desde su estreno pienso que todavía tienen un buen entretenimiento. No todo lo mas nuevo es lo mejor para nuestro entretenimiento, existen películas que tienen años e incluso décadas que todavía nos pueden emocionar y hacer pasar un rato agradable. El día de hoy quiero comentar sobre la película Battleship del 2012.
Esta es de esas películas que puedo ver una y otra vez sin aburrirme, es una producción especial desde que la vi hace en su estreno, sin embargo, no es una película amada por gran segmento de espectadores pero en lo particular es de esas películas que recomiendo ver a todas aquellas personas que no la han visto, seguramente a algunos les gustará mas que a otros, pero debemos saber que como individuos no necesariamente tenemos que compartir los mismos gustos y esa diferencia que nos hace únicos es reflejada al momento de valorizar una producción cinematográfica.
Sinopsis:
En medio de un ejercicio naval entre diferentes potencias del mundo, el planeta enfrenta un ataque extraterrestre. Es una batalla que definirá el destino de la raza humana y del planeta entero, los mejores combatientes de varias potencias al mando de sus mejores barcos libraran una batalla naval sin precedentes en la historia.
Análisis de la película
Historia
Quizás uno de los aspectos mas criticados sobre esta producción es que se basa en una historia bastante simple e incluso lineal, no entrega una sorpresa significativa al espectador pero nos otorga un escenario bastante interesante para el espectador, sobre todo para los amantes de los temas bélicos como batallas navales, grandes barcos de combate que es complementado en una trama de invasión alienígena, creo que es un escenario bastante interesante para muchos de los espectadores, en lo particular estos temas me agradan y son de mi interés desde mi adolescencia, por lo cual lo desde la sinopsis esta producción capta mi atención. Si tenemos en cuenta este tipo de gustos, definitivamente es una película a tener en cuenta.
Por momentos podemos observar que se agrega algo de drama a la producción, una relación familiar entre los protagonistas así como también algo de romance, sin embargo, estos aspectos no hacen un impacto significativo en la producción y se van desvaneciendo en importancia al correr los minutos del rodaje.
Actuaciones:
Quizás para aquella época tener a Rihanna en el reparto era un gancho publicitario importante, sin embargo, su actuación así como la de muchos actores pasa desapercibida y quizás llegando a la categoría de aceptable a pesar de que se pueden observar nombres conocidos en la industria del entretenimiento. A pesar de que es una película que me gusta debo ser objetivo en mi análisis y desde mi punto de vista las actuaciones no otorgan crear una afinidad importante con los personajes y no trasmiten las emociones necesarias para que la actuación pueda sobresalir entre otras películas bélicas o de invasión extraterrestre.
Ahora lo Bueno de la Película
Ya he resaltado algunos aspectos que pueden ser de mayor critica negativa de la producción, quizás hay muchos mas pero desde mi perspectiva serian los mas resaltantes y que impiden que la película sobresalga en comparación a otras del genero de acción, sin embargo, ahora quiero comentar sobre aquellos aspectos o características que hacen que sea una película que no me aburre ver.
Acción
Lo he resaltado en varios de mis post y debo decir que soy fan del género de acción, me encanta disfrutar de una producción que cuente con muchas escenas de acción, combate, disparos, explosiones y demás, en ese sentido esta película no decepcionará a nadie por la gran cantidad de acción que podemos disfrutar a lo largo de su duración. En definitiva es de los aspectos positivos mas relevantes que posee este film ya que no es una acción sin sentido, por lo cual genera entretenimiento para todo espectador que disfrute de este género.
Invasión Extraterrestre
Otro de los aspectos que disfrutamos en esta película son de esos invasores del espacio, en lo particular me gusta analizar este tipo de invasiones que de alguna manera hacen que el ego de la humanidad penda de un hilo en cuanto a tecnología.
Naves
El diseño de las naves me parece bastante bueno, como pueden sumergirse y salir del agua en tan solo unos instantes y ni hablar del armamento que haría temblar a cualquier marinero aun en los barcos más poderosos en la actualidad.
Alienígenas
Me parece que el diseño de estos invasores también es de buena calidad, una especie de creaturas humanoides pero con una armadura y fuerza extraordinaria que pondría a rezar a cualquier experto en artes marciales. En lo particular para una película de acción donde existan este tipo de encuentros tan cercanos es necesario este estereotipo de diseño humanoide, en lo particular lo disfruto mas que el típico pulpo que vemos en las caricaturas u otras películas.
Efectos Especiales
Este aspecto es sin dudas la carta de presentación de este film, creo que es el de sus características mas positivas y que de verdad impactan al espectador, las naves, los alienígenas, las explosiones, todo esta hecho con una calidad visual bastante sobresaliente teniendo en cuenta que la producción esta próxima de cumplir la década desde su lanzamiento.

Opinión Final
Aunque es una película que aprecio bastante, debo tener en cuenta que falla en varios aspectos como en la narrativa de la trama y en actuaciones, sin embargo, es de esas películas que puedes ver solo por la acción y los efectos especiales que si tienen una calidad sobresaliente. Me parece que aunque imperfecta puede otorgarnos un buen entretenimiento en todo momento y como se trasmite la acción en conjunto con esos efectos visuales hace que nos quedemos pegados a la pantalla o en mi caso verla varias veces sin sentir que la producción me aburre.
Cuando la vi por primera vez lo que buscaba era acción y buenos efectos visuales, no me importaba mucho la historia y menos las actuaciones, era mas joven y la película me otorgaba todo lo que estaba buscando en ese momento del lanzamiento. Luego, al pasar los años y tras ver muchas otras películas he aprendido a valorar las historias, sus narrativas y las actuaciones. Pero hay películas que igualmente cumplen con su cuota de entretenimiento a pesar de sus faltas de argumentos, existen muchas con estas características y son de las mas comerciales, quizás esta producción entraría en ese grupo que aun con sus fallas logran cumplir con entretenimiento.
¿La Recomiendo?
Absolutamente, es una producción de acción, invasión extraterrestre que hay que tener en cuenta. Es una película para disfrutar con amigos amantes del género de acción y que seguramente no decepcionará a pesar de sus limitaciones. Aunque ya la película tiene varios años desde su estreno es posible que algún amante de las invasiones extraterrestres no la haya visto aun.

Today I want to comment on the 2012 movie Battleship.
This is one of those movies that I can watch over and over again without getting bored, it is a special production since I saw it on its premiere, however, it is not a film loved by a large segment of viewers but in particular it is one of those movies that I recommend to see to all those people who have not seen it, surely some will like it more than others, but we must know that as individuals we do not necessarily have to share the same tastes and that difference that makes us unique is reflected at the time of valuing a film production.
Synopsis:
In the middle of a naval exercise between different powers of the world, the planet faces an extraterrestrial attack. It is a battle that will define the fate of the human race and the entire planet, the best fighters from various powers in command of their best ships will fight a naval battle unprecedented in history.

Story
Perhaps one of the most criticized aspects about this production is that it is based on a fairly simple and even linear story, it does not deliver a significant surprise to the viewer but gives us a fairly interesting scenario for the viewer, especially for lovers of war themes such as naval battles, large combat ships that is complemented in a plot of alien invasion, I think it is a fairly interesting scenario for many of the viewers, in particular these themes please me and are of my interest since my adolescence, so from the synopsis this production captures my attention. If we take into account this kind of tastes, it is definitely a film to take into account.
At times we can see that some drama is added to the production, a familial relationship between the leads as well as some romance, however, these aspects do not make a significant impact on the production and fade in importance as the minutes of filming tick by.
Acting:
Perhaps for the time having Rihanna in the cast was a major publicity hook, however, her performance as well as that of many actors goes unnoticed and perhaps reaching the category of acceptable despite the fact that familiar names in the entertainment industry can be seen. Although it is a film that I like I must be objective in my analysis and from my point of view the performances do not grant to create an important affinity with the characters and do not transmit the necessary emotions so that the performance can stand out among other war or alien invasion films.

I have already highlighted some aspects that may be of greater negative criticism of the production, perhaps there are many more but from my perspective would be the most prominent and that prevent the film excels in comparison to other action genre, however, now I want to comment on those aspects or features that make it a movie that I do not get bored watching.
Action
I have highlighted it in several of my posts and I must say that I am a fan of the action genre, I love to enjoy a production that has many action scenes, combat, shooting, explosions and so on, in that sense this film will not disappoint anyone by the large amount of action that we can enjoy throughout its duration. In short it is of the most relevant positive aspects that has this film as it is not a meaningless action, so it generates entertainment for any viewer who enjoys this genre.
Extraterrestrial Invasion
Another of the aspects that we enjoy in this movie are of those invaders from space, in particular I like to analyze this type of invasions that somehow make the ego of humanity hang by a thread in terms of technology.
Ships
The design of the ships looks pretty good to me, how they can dive in and out of the water in just a few moments and not to mention the armament that would make any sailor tremble even in the most powerful ships nowadays.
Aliens
I find the design of these invaders to be of good quality as well, sort of humanoid creatures but with extraordinary armor and strength that would put any martial arts expert to prayer. In particular for an action movie where there are such close encounters is necessary this stereotypical humanoid design, in particular I enjoy it more than the typical octopus we see in cartoons or other movies.
Special Effects
This aspect is undoubtedly the letter of presentation of this film, I think it is the one of its most positive features and that really impact the viewer, ships, aliens, explosions, everything is made with a fairly outstanding visual quality considering that the production is close to meet the decade since its release.

Although it is a film that I appreciate quite a lot, I must take into account that it fails in several aspects such as in the narrative of the plot and in performances, however, it is one of those movies that you can see only for the action and special effects that do have an outstanding quality. It seems to me that although imperfect can give us a good entertainment at all times and how the action is transmitted in conjunction with those visual effects makes us stay glued to the screen or in my case see it several times without feeling that the production bores me.
When I first saw it what I was looking for was action and good visual effects, I didn't care much about the story and less about the performances, I was younger and the movie granted me everything I was looking for at that time of release. Then, as the years went by and after watching many other movies I have learned to value the stories, their narratives and the performances. But there are films that also meet their quota of entertainment despite their lack of arguments, there are many with these characteristics and are the most commercial, perhaps this production would enter into that group that even with its flaws manage to meet entertainment.
Do I recommend it?
Absolutely, it's an action, alien invasion production to be reckoned with. It's a film to enjoy with friends who love the action genre and will certainly not disappoint despite its limitations. Although the film is already several years old since its release it is possible that some alien invasion lover has not seen it yet.
