El humor y la risa son una de las mejores capacidades que tenemos los seres humanos. Una buena dosis de humor no sólo nos permite afrontar con más facilidad nuestro día a día sino que también nos resulta sumamente útil en momentos difíciles, puede que en sí no nos ayude cambiar la situación difícil pero sin duda nos ayuda a reducir nuestros niveles de estrés y también nos permite realizar un cambio de perspectiva.
Humor and laughter are one of the best abilities we human beings have. A good dose of humor not only allows us to face our day to day life more easily but it is also extremely useful in difficult moments, it may not in itself help us to change the difficult situation but it certainly helps us to reduce our stress levels and also allows us to make a change of perspective.

Apenas me enteré de este Community Contest #2 de la comunidad de Movies & TV Shows se me vinieron a la mente muchas películas y series que han logrado hacerme reír hasta más no poder, pero para hacer las cosas más justas decidí estructurar mi participación en el concurso en base a 3 películas y 2 series del género de la comedia. No me quiero extender demasiado en esta introducción, así que mejor comencemos de una vez.
As soon as I heard about this Community Contest #2 from the Movies & TV Shows community, many movies and series that have made me laugh out loud came to my mind, but to make things fairer I decided to structure my participation in the contest based on 3 movies and 2 series from the comedy genre. I don't want to extend too much in this introduction, so let's start at once.
Hasta el momento esta es una de mis películas favoritas de comedia. Quizás la trama puede resultar un poco predecible y cliché, pero a mi parecer haber juntado a Sandra Bullock y a Ryan Reynolds fue un gran acierto pues tienen una gran química en pantalla y es eso lo que en parte le da cierto encanto a la cinta.
En esta cinta Bullock representa el papel de Margaret Tate quien es una editora bastante respetada pero que está a punto de ser deportada a Canadá, su país natal. Desesperada en busca de una solución para seguir permaneciendo en Estados Unidos se le ocurre nada más y nada menos que obligar a su secretario Andrew (Reynolds), a quien le ha dado siempre un trato terrible, a que se case con ella para lograr obtener la ciudadanía. El trato es que ella le concederá su tan anhelado ascenso a Andrew, siempre y cuando él acepte a desposarla. Evidentemente, al principio él está en completo desacuerdo por el riesgo que ambos corren a ser descubiertos y terminar metiéndose en un lío legal bastante gordo, pero finalmente acepta a ayudarla pues al final ambos terminarían obteniendo lo que quieren.
So far this is one of my favorite comedy movies. Maybe the plot can be a bit predictable and cliché, but in my opinion, putting together Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds was a great success because they have a great chemistry on screen and that is what partly gives the film a certain charm.
In this film Bullock plays the role of Margaret Tate who is a well respected editor but who is about to be deported to Canada, her native country. Desperate for a solution to remain in the United States, she comes up with nothing more and nothing less than forcing her secretary Andrew (Reynolds), to whom she has always given a terrible treatment, to marry her in order to obtain citizenship. The deal is that she will grant Andrew his long-desired promotion, as long as he agrees to marry her. Evidently, at first he is in complete disagreement because of the risk they both run of being found out and ending up in a big legal mess, but he finally agrees to help her because in the end they both end up getting what they want.
Y es ahí cuando comienzan un sinfín de acontecimientos graciosos, pues Andrew decide llevar a Margaret a casa de sus padres en Alaska. En ese corto viaje ambos tienen la oportunidad de conocerse mejor y, para sorpresa de Andrew, resulta ser que Margaret sí tiene corazón más allá de su fachada de jefa tirana y que lo único que le faltaba era amor familiar. Aquí también se nos plasma un poco algunas situaciones familiares que se pueden vivir en la realidad, como por ejemplo: el típico caso del hijo que decide perseguir sus propios sueños y no seguir el plan de su que tienen sus padres para que se dedique al negocio familiar, así esto le ocasione unos cuantos inconvenientes con su familia, este vendría siendo el caso de nuestro querido protagonista. La película está repleta de muchas situaciones graciosas que en su mayoría vienen de la mano de la protagonista y que de verdad, se los prometo, que me hacen reír enormemente. Una de estas escenas graciosas que tanto me hacen reír es aquella en donde la abuela de Andrew, Annie, convence a Margaret para que realice un baile en “agradecimiento” a la Madre Tierra…la cosa está en que Margaret se termina inspirando más de lo normal en su baile y no sólo el baile es gracioso, sino la canción que ella inventa. A continuación les dejo el vídeo de la escena para que se rían un poco.
And that's when a host of hilarious events begin, as Andrew decides to take Margaret to his parents' home in Alaska. Here we are also shown some family situations that can be lived in reality, for example: the typical case of the son who decides to pursue his own dreams and not follow the plan of his parents to devote himself to the family business, even if this causes him some inconveniences with his family, this would be the case of our beloved protagonist. The film is full of many funny situations that mostly come from the hand of the protagonist and that really, I promise you, make me laugh enormously. One of these funny scenes that make me laugh so much is the one where Andrew's grandmother, Annie, convinces Margaret to perform a dance in "gratitude" to Mother Earth...the thing is that Margaret ends up being more inspired than usual in her dance and not only the dance is funny, but the song she invents. Uno de los mensajes que me transmite esta cinta es que muchas veces las personas se construyen una coraza externa muy fuerte simplemente para evitar que los lastimen nuevamente. Es por eso que no debemos de juzgar ni señalar a las personas antes de conocerlas a profundidad pues no sabemos cuáles batallas han tenido que lidiar a lo largo de su vida y que los han llevado a tener una personalidad “difícil”.
One of the messages that this film transmits to me is that many times people build a very strong external armor simply to avoid being hurt again. That is why we should not judge or point fingers at people before getting to know them in depth because we do not know what battles they have had to deal with throughout their lives that have led them to have a "difficult" personality.
Recuerdo que la primera de estas películas la vi en el cine con mi padre y la verdad es que los dos no parábamos de reír ante las situaciones tan disparatadas que tenían que enfrentar los protagonistas de la cinta. Esto realmente es un logro pues mi padre, al igual que yo, se le dificulta encontrar una película de comedia que le resulte lo suficientemente buena y que lo haga reír hasta que su abdomen comience a doler.
En la primera de estas tres películas, tres amigos (Phil, Stu y Alan) despiertan en una lujosa suite de un hotel en Las Vegas tras haber celebrado la noche anterior la despedida de soltero de su Doug. La cuestión está que al despertar se encuentran muy aturdidos, no recuerdan absolutamente nada de lo que ocurrió la noche anterior y la noticia alarmante es que el novio ha desaparecido. En seguida ponen en marcha la misión de tratar de encontrar a su amigo antes de la boda y de responder una serie de preguntas: ¿por qué a Stu le falta un diente?, ¿por qué la suite del hotel está casi destruida?, ¿por qué hay un tigre en el baño? Y ¿por qué hay un bebé en el armario? En fin, ellos tres tienen muchas preguntas y pocas respuestas pero cuando se embarcan en la travesía de buscar a su amigo Doug, el gran rompecabezas de lo que fue la desastrosa despedida de soltero comienza a armarse.
I remember that I saw the first of these movies at the cinema with my father and the truth is that we both couldn't stop laughing at the crazy situations that the protagonists of the film had to face. This is really an accomplishment because my father, like me, has a hard time finding a comedy movie that he finds good enough to make him laugh until his abdomen starts to hurt.
In the first of these three movies, three friends (Phil, Stu and Alan) wake up in a luxurious hotel suite in Las Vegas after celebrating their Doug's bachelor party the night before. They wake up in a daze, have absolutely no recollection of what happened the night before and the alarming news is that the groom is missing. They immediately set out on a mission to try to find their friend before the wedding and answer a series of questions: why is Stu missing a tooth, why is the hotel suite almost destroyed, why is there a tiger in the bathroom, and why is there a baby in the closet? Anyway, the three of them have many questions and few answers but as they embark on the journey to find their friend Doug, the big puzzle of what was the disastrous bachelor party begins to come together.
Cada uno de estos cuatro personajes principales tiene una gran chispa, pero sin duda mi personaje favorito es Stu porque básicamente él es el más “políticamente correcto” de los cuatro y de cierta forma el más inocente, pero tiene tanta mala suerte pues es a quien siempre le terminan ocurriendo las peores cosas: en la primera película termina sin un diente y casado con una stripper, en la segunda película termina con gran parte de su rostro tatuado y con el trauma de tener que encontrar al hermano menor de su futura esposa por todo Bangkok. Créanme que con esta película no paré de reír desde su inicio hasta los créditos finales y aunque quizás la idea de una despedida de soltero es una idea base bastante trillada en la historia del cine, esta película está desarrollada de una forma bastante diferente además de que la riqueza y chispa que poseen los personajes es lo que marca completamente la diferencia.
Esta película no es una obra maestra, pero cumple con el gran objetivo de mantenerte entretenido y hacerte reír hasta más no poder, cosa que no muchas películas de comedia logran cumplir. Además de que cuenta con un gran elenco y algo que también me agradó mucho es que uno como espectador puede percibir cómo se divirtieron los actores al trabajar en esta cinta y la química que hubo entre ellos, algo que sin duda hace que las situaciones que vivieron los personajes se percibieran de una manera bastante real.
Each of these four main characters has a great spark, but without a doubt my favorite character is Stu because basically he is the most "politically correct" of the four and in a way the most innocent, but he is so unlucky because he is the one who always ends up having the worst things happen to him: in the first movie he ends up without a tooth and married to a stripper, in the second movie he ends up with most of his face tattooed and with the trauma of having to find his future wife's younger brother all over Bangkok. Believe me, with this movie I did not stop laughing from the beginning until the end credits and although perhaps the idea of a bachelor party is a fairly trite basic idea in the history of cinema, this film is developed in a quite different way and the richness and spark that the characters possess is what makes all the difference.
This movie is not a masterpiece, but it fulfills the great objective of keeping you entertained and making you laugh your head off, something that not many comedy movies manage to accomplish. Besides the fact that it has a great cast and something that also pleased me a lot is that as a viewer you can perceive how much fun the actors had working on this film and the chemistry between them, something that undoubtedly makes the situations experienced by the characters perceived in a very real way.
Esta sin duda creo que se ha convertido en un clásico de las películas de comedia. Lo curioso es que esta película se llevó un sinfín de críticas negativas pero al final terminó convirtiéndose en un gran éxito entre los espectadores. La película se centra en que dos agentes del FBI, Kevin y Marcus Copeland, se les encomienda una misión en particular la cual representa su última oportunidad para hacer las cosas bien y que no los despidan de sus cargos. Estos agentes se hacen pasar por las gemelas de alta sociedad, Brittany y Tiffany, con el objetivo de protegerlas y de investigar una serie de secuestros.
Evidentemente para que nadie descubra que son agentes encubierto se deben vestir y actuar igual que las gemelas y eso involucra tener que realizar salidas y reuniones de chicas con las amigas y todo esto es lo que lleva a situaciones bastante hilarantes. Una de las situaciones que más risa me causa en toda la trama de la película es Latrell Spencer, interpretado por Terry Crews, se interesa por Marcus porque en realidad piensa que es una mujer. De hecho, mi escena favorita de toda la película es esa en donde Terry Crews canta 'A Thousand Miles', esta sin duda ha sido una de las escenas más épicas y es tan famosa que en Internet hay millones de memes sobre ella, porque la verdad es que es bastante gracioso ver a un hombre de semejante contextura física y que presume de ser todo un rompe corazones con las mujeres cantar esa canción cuan chica adolescente. This one has certainly become a classic comedy movie. The funny thing is that this movie got a lot of negative reviews but in the end it ended up becoming a big hit with viewers. The movie centers on two FBI agents, Kevin and Marcus Copeland, who are given a particular mission that represents their last chance to make things right and not get fired from their positions. These agents pose as the high society twins, Brittany and Tiffany, in order to protect them and investigate a series of kidnappings.
Evidently so that no one discovers that they are undercover agents they must dress and act just like the twins and that involves having to go on outings and girls' meetings with the girlfriends and all this is what leads to some pretty hilarious situations. One of the situations that makes me laugh the hardest in the whole plot of the movie is Latrell Spencer, played by Terry Crews, takes an interest in Marcus because he actually thinks he's a woman. In fact, my favorite scene of the whole movie is the one where Terry Crews sings 'A Thousand Miles', this was undoubtedly one of the most epic scenes and is so famous that the Internet has millions of memes about it, because the truth is that it is quite funny to see a man of such physical build and who boasts of being a heartbreaker with women singing that song. El punto gracioso de toda la película es que nadie, ABSOLUTAMENTE NADIE, pueda distinguir a dos lindas chicas rubias de dos hombres negros disfrazados y bueno, en realidad ese es el punto que se explota en la película para obtener un sinfín de escenas graciosas. Aunque sí debo aceptar que el argumento de la película no es la gran cosa y a veces carece de un poco de sentido, la película cumple con su objetivo: entretener y sacarnos unas cuantas risas. Y sin duda creo que son los dos hermanos protagonistas los que les dan mucha más chispa a la película con sus actuaciones, la verdad es que no me imagino a otros actores que no sean ellos interpretando el papel principal.
The funny point of the whole movie is that nobody, ABSOLUTELY NOBODY, can distinguish two cute blonde girls from two black men in disguise and well, that's actually the point that is exploited in the movie to get a lot of funny scenes. While I do have to agree that the plot of the movie is not great and sometimes lacks a bit of sense, the movie fulfills its goal: to entertain and get a few laughs out of us. And without a doubt I think that the two main brothers are the ones who give the movie a lot more spark to the movie with their performances, the truth is that I can't imagine other actors than them playing the main role.

Esta es mi serie favorita por el hecho de que es una comedia cuyo tema principal es la amistad y los buenos y malos momentos que toda persona puede experimentar a lo largo de la vida, aparte de que también plasma ciertas situaciones que pudiesen vivirse en la vida real, como por ejemplo: una relación tóxica como la que existe entre Rachel y Ross, la desilusión y tristeza que llega a vivir Monica al saber que no puede quedar embarazada o simplemente los problemas y situaciones cotidianas a los que nosotros como personas nos enfrentamos día a día: como no conseguir el trabajo que deseabas o que tus amigos lleguen tarde a tu cena de cumpleaños, claro que está que todas estas situaciones son abordadas desde un punto de vista gracioso.

Yo, al igual que muchas otras personas de Latinoamérica, crecí viendo esta maravillosa serie. Esta serie es una joya de la televisión Mexicana, es una parodia de las típicas historias de superhéroes, pues aquí se nos narra las aventuras y hazañas de un superhéroe poco común.
El Chapulín Colorado en realidad es completamente opuesto a los superhéroes que estamos acostumbrados a ver, pues en realidad él es bastante torpe, miedoso, nada musculoso y no posee ningún tipo de súperpoder, pero lo que sí posee es bastante astucia y algunos artefactos que lo ayudan a combatir el crimen como por ejemplo: la chicharra paralizadora o las pastillas de chiquitolina que lo ayudan a encogerse y pasar desapercibido.
Pero pese a que es un poco débil físicamente y bastante miedoso, lo que caracteriza al Chapulín y lo que lo hace ser un gran héroe es su determinación para enfrentar los problemas. Esta serie nos brinda un gran mensaje, el cual nos hace comprender que el heroísmo no consiste en carecer de miedo sino más bien consiste en afrontarlo y superarlo. El Chapulín me enseñó que un héroe no es aquella persona que no le teme a nada y que gana todas sus batallas, al contrario, un héroe es aquella persona que sí siente miedo y que a pesar de ser consciente de esto va directo a enfrentarse al problema; y es gracias a este mensaje por el cual esta serie me gusta tanto.
I, like many other people in Latin America, grew up watching this wonderful series. This series is a jewel of Mexican television, it is a parody of the typical superhero stories, because here we are told the adventures and exploits of an unusual superhero.

Wow no habían pensado en el Chapulín colorado, de pequeña lo veía y siempre me sacaba una sonrisa de las situaciones en donde se metía este héroe. Me gustó mucho cómo describiste la serie el mensaje.
