Hello! As part of our ongoing efforts to improve both interaction and curation in the Movies and TV Shows Community, this post is one of many to highlight and boost members of the past week that have posted what we believe is exceptional content.

The Details

Each week, our Moderators will monitor the posts within the Movies and TV Shows Community and handpick the ones that are believed to stand out under numerous factors: post quality, length, and subject. Over all effort will be considered, and those chosen will be featured in a post just like this with a percentage of the post rewards being distributed as a reward.

There are no entry requirements, and this is not a contest, but simply a roundup intended to provide additional exposure to all of you for your efforts. Just have fun posting in the Movies & TV Shows Community and five or more posts will be chosen frequently.

A Drink In Time (Short Film)

I was 24 or 25 when I wrote this script, that summer leading into my final year of college was a bit weird. There was a bunch of us hanging out in our old drinking spot from when we were teenagers, but, it wasn't really the same as it was back then hanging out. So, I guess that thought made it into the story. I also had a few personal issues going on which made me a bit reminiscent too.

Merecido final para Better Call Saul y la franquicia Breaking Bad | Vídeo Review

I never imagined Better Call Saul would get as close, regarding the enjoyment it can provide to the fans, as Breaking Bad. The character of James McGill/Saul Goodman changes a lot throughout the entire series, and this character development is among the best ones I have ever seen. In a way, Jimmy/Saul is a special type of evil genius usually capable of tricking his way out of trouble.

Where the Crawdads Sing (2022): a romantic thriller | ¿un thriller romántico?

From that perspective, the film also has a naturalistic, ecological message. We all like paradisiacal beaches, rivers, mountains, the Swiss Alps, but I think most of us have not thought about the importance and beauty of marshes and swamps, something that this story shows in a good way with its characteristic flora and fauna. The novel was written by Delia Owens, the screenplay was adapted by Lucy Alibar, the cinematography (also very good) was done by Polly Morgan, the film was directed by Olivia Newman (First Match) and stars Daisy Edgar-Jones; that is to say, it is a work carried out entirely by women (at least in the important jobs) and although the film did not amaze me, I recognize that it's better than many others that have come out recently because it's fluid in its narration and at least it's a story something different from the rest.

Disney's great controversy with the movie "The Little Mermaid"

But Disney I think it needs to improve the inclusion technique and not force some limits, since the same thing may happen to Netflix that its investments dropped considerably because its content is only for premature teenagers with raging hormones, taking tremendous series out of the box office that they talked about important issues, canceling projects because "it would be very expensive" and leaving the same trilogies that are more accessible to pay for but more criticized.

The Shivering Truth and the cinema that causes agony // The Shivering Truth e o cinema que causa agonia

Shivering Truth is all obscure, sarcastic, acid and chaotic, philosophical and contradictory, violent and charming in the cinema of: Yorgos Lanthimos, Todd Solondz, Alejandro Jodorowsky, David Lynch, Charlie Kaufman and all dark director who makes annoying movies and Bags. It's a mixture of Chuck Palahniuk with David Foster Wallace and Thomas Pintchon in terms of script, but all this, all these references beaten in a blender with NBome (that false LSD that is not only contrary to all the benefits of the original drug but also you It melts in irreversible absurd psychoses), and believe me, this is not an offense. It is as if existentialism soaked in hallucinogenic drugs found the acidic and humorous sagacity of some chaotic and iridescent contemporary literature as infinite grace of the late Wallace. In fact I lack expressions and analogies, references or ideas of what to say about this absurd series. But maybe what you really want, it's a simple and humble synopsis, right? Well, let's talk a little about the series itself:

AKIRA (1988) Unforgettable cult animation

eAyTuXc4toTZP3b8pg7C7VkJ9U5BqRqvVJkBDdAmwsps5mLJkg3XdcnXeozkzGWVhjEmc4ajwVx.jpg

We can't talk about Akira without mentioning its influence as one of the most important cult animated films. Yes, its artistic part leaves you satisfied, coupled with a series of situations that leave you hooked afterwards, but the story leaves you with many unknowns to answer, which, when you try to answer them by yourself, leaves you with even more doubts, so I think this should be complemented with the original manga, to fill those gaps left by the film. However, leaving aside the obvious, I really liked it. It's been a while since I've seen an anime-style film, and less so this year in particular. It was satisfying to my perception, plus I really enjoy cyberpunk dystopian science fiction films. It is more than recommended for those who like animation with an unconventional and quite strong theme.

FALL | Movie Review | 8/10

5s4dzRwnVbzGY5ssnCE4wXzkeAEXyVtgk1ApQTwHMTp6y5PvEo1yennAQMLBck4p149MuqU5XTJxpbU6QqU7HCe6AYZ9kpXtr782NNp7NZ9XxQYhiyFXyTAkZN32TGRBCuMssQzHNRmgEf2hEJgkM2mT9ttP9Hr9jNgfJ14.jpg

The film is based on two friends who like to climb. At the beginning of the film they show us a panorama that for a few moments we think will be like a romantic movie but everything collapses in a matter of seconds and leaves us quite surprised with that blow, the beginning of the film leaves you in shock because it is something which, at least, in my case, I did not expect. We are used to seeing everything so surreal, we always expect that happy ending, however at the beginning they make you hope for the characters, after that as a viewer you don't know what to expect. The truth is that an accident occurs and the protagonist is affected by this, the time went by and apparently she took bad habits because of this accident.
