Toruk, Better Than The Government

in LeoFinance3 years ago (edited)

If you are a Leofinance community member for quite a while, chances are that you already know by now who or what Toruk is. Behind the curation account of @onealfa.leo and the banner and his huge upvotes, there's the man @onealfa.

A person that I haven't personally met or talked to in my entire life, but who's weigh on my monthly personal finances, coming from my activity as a blogger on Leofinance is immense. I got to read the Vote analysis of TORUK post from @amr008 a few hours ago and saw my accounts name on a chart.

It seems that for the past 30 days I am no.1 on "Top 10 authors who have received most @onealfa.leo upvotes" according to @amr008. I don't get the chart too good because it's a percentage chart of the distribution of upvotes from Toruk, but right across my accounts name you get this: 965.37...

I suppose that's the total amount of LEO in upvotes that I got from Toruk on a 30 days time span. I'm not quite clear about the data, but doesn't look like percentages at all. Let me put that number into perspective a bit.

The image belongs to @onealfa and is a Toruk banner

900 LEO at an average price of $1 translates to $900 in LEO rewards coming from Toruk only for my Leofinance account in 30 days. Taking his curation share out and I get around 480 LEO. Each and one of them courtesy of the above mentioned account. Plus the upvotes that I have from other accounts to whom I am grateful as well. Some of you probably know this by now, but for the rest that don't, I will mention that I live in Romania.

In this country the minimum wage is around $400, if I'm not mistaking and trust me that a minimum wage doesn't pay for any minimalistic life that you might think of. That's what the corrupt government that leads this country decided though, that one could be fine with $400 a month.

Doing the math, which is quite simple for this case, Toruk has paid me one minimum wage for this country in 30 day. From the data @amr008 has shared in his post it seems that 974 unique authors have been touched by Toruk. Imagine how much wealth has this man generated on this platform! Do that!

Of course, he's taking his share from curation rewards, but who wouldn't love to have his content curated by such a user? Why has my content been that much upvoted by @onealfa is beyond my reasoning. I am a simple minded man with a daily posting routine, but I don't bring anything special to the table. Just my own thoughts and perspective mostly regarding the crypto world.

If one Toruk can have that much impact on this platform and in the daily lives of plenty of Leofinance users, imagine how this community would change with ten such users. At some point we might have them, and that's when the era of abundance that @taskmaster4450 is been talking for quite a while will become true.

I am not living any era of abundance in my part of the world, but I can assure you that for a few months I am able to sustain my living entirely from content creation token rewards. That's something, for someone that's been dreaming of such a day ever since I joined Steem. The path hasn't been easy, but it's worth every damn second spent on this chain.

I don't know how life's in your country and how much the government is supporting you for a decent living during this pandemic, but in my case it hasn't done shit. Toruk has managed to generate for me about a minimum wage, if not more, just through a few clicks called upvotes. That's why I call crypto disruptive, why I am a crypto and especially Leofinance fanatic and why I show up in here every day.

NO, not only for rewards, although I would be lying if I'd say I don't care about them although living off of my content creation activity, but for what crypto has become as well. This thing is beyond governments, central banks and any type of economy we've seen so far.

Thank you Toruk for all the upvotes, you should definitely know they weigh a lot and are quite life changing and wish you all the best. Great times to be in crypto and it feels like the fun is just getting started.

Thanks for attention,
Adrian

Imagine that it says that 400 $ in your country with a salary you cannot live. In my country, the corrupt government believes that people can live with a salary of $ 1 a month.

Here in leofinance I have found the economic stability that I do not have in my country. I have been able to get ahead together with my daughter and my mother, all thanks to the votes of each of the people who vote for me.

Every day I am grateful for projects like this, may God give him many blessings @khal so that he continues to guide him on the right path and giving us great projects like this and CUB.

In turn, to Mr. @onealfa, who with his vote changes many lives, brings happiness to people.

Blessings and gratitude to each of the people who make lives, their vows are small, they are blessings or golden peiptas that accumulate.

Governments are made by bastards. Nowadays it's impossible to find a country where the government is working for its people. Corona pandemic is proof of that.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's right .. This is what has made people lock themselves up. The corrupt government can govern more easily at will.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That hurts to see :( I can't say my government is better than yours because although minimum wages are implemented over here , it is not effective .

Some people work for less than 3$ a day ( they work the whole day too ) .

I wish someday we can link Hive to real world and these people who are putting so much efforts will get paid for it in Hive .

Congratulations to you.
I really wish to get here some day although I haven't been on leofinance lately, but I hope to get to this stage someday 😁

The sooner the better is what I feel with respect to Hive in general and Leo in specific .

The best political system is a monarchy run by a good monarch.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

In some cases yes.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It is good to meet people who despite living in countries with precarious economic conditions can take advantage of this platform as is your case, anyway do not stop publishing as you have been doing :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thanks. It's my way of life now.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That is great
Congrats

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

My vote value is 0.136 LEO, I'm near.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I'm having something like 0.2 at maximum vote weight.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I see you do quite well on both Leo and HIVE:

Definitely. I'm more than happy.
Thanks, by the way.

Way to go, It's nice to get them big upvotes. I had a few in the past and it makes you smile when it happens. I like most of the stuff he upvotes so it helps the trending look better.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Man you're making a ton of money from blogging. Happy for you bro.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It's not really a ton and there are definitely others doing way better than I, but I'm fine and happy with what I got.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

With $400 a month from blogging alone? That's huge bro. Forget what others are making, you're in a perfect position to turn it into thousands and then millions.

Man I hope we all get rich and be able to help others as well. Have you gone deep into the liquidity pool?

No. I haven't used the liquidity pool yet.

@onealfa.leo what is even more interesting is that he does not brag about it,he is so humble and nice...just write great and informative contents and he will upvote it if he sees it.......there are many great contents on this platform and he cannot see all of them at the same time....

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Only fools brag about their deeds.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Those who brag come down way too quickly . Even when I approached him to write the post , he was very humble :)

That's why this platform is so great .

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Happy for you man, it's great that you have been able to provide for yourself and loved ones doing what you love the most. Keep grinding!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thanks. So far I am just able to sustain myself. I'm not married and don't have kids.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Same here, 31 working full-time and the situation in Greece doesn't allow me to even think of having kids... my only hopes for a sustainable future are in crypto.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I don't have kids because I'm irresponsible not because of my financial situation. I have a long colored life story... Been to a lot of places, done all sort of things.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thank you for the mention , just for feedback , did you know the LEO total from onealfa before I posted the stats ?

The answer will help me provide better stats in future so .

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Couldn't write it without mentioning you. It's where I got the inspiration.
