Hive is a decentralized blockchain, hosting all sorts of social media apps, blogging and vlogging included, and a quite famous in the crypto industry play-to-earn game. That's no novelty for us here.
We often claim that this blockchain offers reliable alternatives to these social media apps, and I was thinking lately, why would a YouTuber, not necessarily the most famous one, switch to 3speak from youtube?
Interesting topic, right? Well, let's have a look at the pros and cons of making that switch, from my point of view, and definitely waiting for yours to be shared in the comments section.
WEB3
I want to start with this one because it is something no content creator should be left behind. WEB3 is the moon landing for content creators, and for us here, it is crystal clear that you can't compare youtube, Facebook, or Medium with what Hive has to offer.
Imutability should be anyone's priority in the era of centralization and censorship. No matter what app would you choose from the plethora of those that you get to choose, on HIve, you own the content that goes out through that app.
When it comes to @3speak the only vlogger I'm constantly watching is @taskmaster4450. If this man would have been a YouTuber he would surely be at risk at any time seeing his account demonetized or down or censored. It's not going to happen on 3speak.
Whatever video you're uploading through this app, and I have a bunch of them myself as well, will be stored on the blockchain forever. It's something no one can take away from you.
What clearly sets apart 3speak from youtube is crypto, though. While youtube is a social media app of the establishment, centralized as fuck as we all know, and deemed to never become WEB3, 3speak is a cryptocurrency project.
You're being rewarded in cryptocurrencies when uploading content through 3speak and that can help build an unshakable foundation for the future. Blockchain technology is here to stay and it is IMO internet 2.0.
When bringing monetization into the discussion we can't draw a clear line between the two and say that one is superior to the other. It is true that there are YouTubers making millions a year with their videos, and I doubt that there's anyone able to keep the pace in that regard on 3speak.
BUT, where @3speak is ahead of the curve is the chance that it offers to newcomers in rapidly getting to monetize their content and doing that by earning cryptocurrency, something you pretty much can't have on youtube. While YouTubers are still earning dirty money, 3speakers are earning crypto.
In closing this short comparison post I want to once again mention that we are early adopters of highly disruptive technology. That should not be overlooked.

3speak vs ShitTube.. you missed a advantage towards ShitTube. Ease of use... 3speak has a learning curve to upload a video. YouTube has mad it so easy..

The truth rarely is.. that's c why I been using ShitTube for last 2 days
One thing is, YouTube makes it difficult to grow, especially when you're not certain if the audience and money you're trying to build would last really long, maybe due to futuristic policies.

It's true YouTube has more potential audiences than Hive but it's overcrowded now. You're better off at 3Speak where you're not only rewarded with crypto but also be at the front row seat of an emerging technology. This is especially true if you're a beginner at YouTube. The golden days of YouTube have passed now, 3speak is just blossoming.

I’ve been seeing more and more YouTubers getting screwed because of ridiculously restrictive community guidelines! The worst part is that if you’re a big channel / YouTuber you’re almost immune to the guidelines, while the little ones trying to speaking get slaughtered.
I’m so tired of this bullshit, banning the Leofinance YouTube channel is a perfect example!

If you're a business that relies on YouTube to put you offer in front of your audience, you are completely at the mercy of YouTube.
You don't own your account, thus you can have all of your followers taken away from you by a third party.
This is a massive business risk.
Onboarding followers to a Web3 account and using dApps such as 3Speak can help to minimise this risk.
Seems like a smart business decision to me.
