Hive is now deflationary: The supply is decreasing!

in LeoFinance3 years ago

Hive's supply has been decreasing with considerable speed in the last two months, a period that coincides exactly with the explosion of new accounts on our platform, over 300k, for Splinterlands and with the increasingly conversion of Hive to HBD. Extrapolating the Supply from @penguinpablo's posts, here is a comparison of Hive's supply as of July 22, August 23 and September 23:

July 22

August 23

September 23

As you can see, Hive's supply decreased by about 18 million while that of HBDs increased by about the same value. The attention towards HBD DAP by users has grown considerably in these two months, also thanks to the incentive to convert HIVE-> HBD when the price of the stablecoin reached the value of 1.2 dollars, providing much more Hive than possessed (an average return between 20 and 30%). The HBDs have not been converted, which means that users have much more confidence in the solidity of the stablecoin.

Today's market correction confirms how much less risky it is to hold or invest HBD than Hive, this is the bitter game of volatility. It is usually more appropriate to convert a part of the Hives into HBD when the latter has an average price higher than the average, in order to ensure that any downward flows can affect our capital. My strategy is actually that for example not to convert the HBDs obtained from rewards into HIVE but rather to transfer them to Wallet Savings, guaranteeing me an interest of 10% per year and safety from any malicious attacks.

Over the next few months, if the trend is confirmed, we could continue to observe HIVE's supply drop more and more consistently. You also need to consider another interesting movement that is burning HIVE: the creation of the new accounts. As extensively illustrated in @dalz's post, Splinterlands has now paved the way for a steady increase in new players, around 10k per day and 300k per month. The creation of each account costs a tax of 3 HIVE and that would mean almost 1 million HIVE per month! A trend that can also increase with the success of other Dapps such as the highly anticipated spknetwork for example and in the course of a few years we could see the supply reduce incredibly! Excited by all of this?

The long term is the safest investment you can make. Selling Hive today for $ 0.60 is really not smart! The growth of the community and the ecosystem is now marked, it is only a matter of time. Are you able to wait for success?

These data are really interesting. If the offer is reduced and with the impulse of the new applications we can have a sustained increase.

I am sure that the supply will go down, more investors will be attracted to HBD and Splinterlands and spknetwork will block millions of HIVE in SIP!

Impressive growth. Even when Hive was at $0.8 the confidence in the platform was also at all time high, there wasn’t as much selling off as one would have expected. Hive at $1 is highly underrated with all that is going on, as soon as Bitcoins dominance on the entire crypto drops further, Hive is going to blast through the roof.

Hive can end the bullish cycle, if the forecasts are confirmed, by the end of the year, easily touching $ 2, perhaps $ 3.

But the price will be the result of speculation because the true value of HIVE will only be evident in the next 2/3 years

Quindi le previsioni sono di vedere un incremento dovuto alla diminuzione della supply?

Si, se si continua a bruciare Hive, la supply scenderà ulteriormente

Nice.

Great post, so proud that @splinterlands is on our dear HIVE blockchain.

Splinterlands is an important pillar for Hive but we need more pillars in the future to build a solid system

Interesting ! We also just have seen that for author's rewards we have now a part paid in Liquid Hive, so this should increae the overall HIVE supply.

This shrinking of HIVE was quite impressive though, I cannot wait for another SPlinterlands hit :D

Yes, Splinterlands has now defined the right path. I look forward to other applications such as spknetwork.

I am so excited for HIVE's near future

Selling Hive today for $ 0.60 is really not smart!

Not at all, because if this trend continues in a few months HIVE will rise to $1 as a stable price.
