Amusingly controversial: Digital BTC on a Physical Card

Fancy your Bitcoin on a card?

The Tweet above introduces the Satscard which can be used to store Bitcoin for physically handing over to someone.

What prompted me to write this post is to ask you to check out the pretty amusing replies on that tweet. Basically questioning if a physical BTC card is necessary. Go enjoy the trolls!

Anyway, back to more useful stuffs. I read the info on their official website. It looks pretty impressive, and I am sure it serves a certain purpose. Especially for gifting BTC to the uninitiated.

However, the details of how best to use this card is way too overwhelming for me. There is the info regarding NFC, slots, selling… Too much for my little brain! Maybe you can understand it a lot more when you read it.

All things considered, the idea of handing someone a card, like an invitation to start using cryptocurrency is great. Especially as a gift in this festive season.

I imagine if there is a Hive version of the physical gift card loaded with Hive, that would be excellent. Something I envision would be a nice packaging with some QR codes for installing Ecency or Leo Finance app and Hive Keychain. Games activities to make first post, and start earning Hive. I can write a full post on this, so let’s keep it for another day.
