You always have a way to reward 👍
Have you ever found an awesome post on Hive, only to realize that it is more than 7 days old and you cannot vote on it? Well, I suppose you can still send a vote through, but it will do absolutely nothing for the author. PeakD will alert you with a message giving you the recommendation to do something besides voting on an older post when you make that attempt.
As you can see, tipping and viewing other posts from the author are both good options. In today's video, I wish to talk in greater detail about both of those and also provide you with a few other options of ways to reward an older post.
Commenting can be just as rewarding as tipping or upvoting and I believe that what I have to share with you in my video today will allow you to realize this. Also, there is a bonus way to reward towards the end of this video and I think it is a pretty nifty idea.
After watching the video, let me know if you have any other ideas for ways that we can all support great work from the past. I can't tell you how many times I've had to look up some info about Hive and I found an ancient post with the answers to my questions. Just because it is old, does not mean that it should be forgotten.

The 7 day reward window has always frustrated me.
It actually incentivises low quality, throw away content over high-quality evergreen content.
Hopefully LeoFinance implementing LEO token buybacks with ad revenue from their domain will start to change that.
But with their token emissions currently super high and traffic dipping, we'll have to wait and see how it plays out in reality.
Leaving tip tokens like !PIZZA is a cool idea in theory.
But they are worth so little that it's almost insulting...

The 7-day thing certainly took some getting used to, I feel for new users trying to adjust. Watching so many great posts be forgotten is pretty painful. I'm hoping that the search function on Hive apps gets upgraded in a big way at some point. Then rewarding old posts in these ways will become even more important.
Will have to see about LEO.
I never use tip tokens, but I am never upset when somebody decides to give me some. Perhaps they will increase in value to become more important in the future.
Personally, I comment on all the posts I like and I reblog the posts that I like a lot and that I think will contribute to the community. The biggest reward for me is that my post is read and a really relevant comment is made on it.
That is an excellent practice to continue. I love knowing when people read my blogs and watch my videos. Although I do love creating, I'm not just doing this for myself and I want others to be able benefit from my work.
We are all like this. At least I am. We post to inspire and help others. I hope it's working. Yours are working for me.

It's a decent alternative to the others. Beneficiaries are a good way to easily reward others by putting in a bit of work yourself.
Good ideas. I liked your setting riverside too...gave a little something to look at. Another way to reward after 7 days: comment and give a tip token. I'm biased (made LUV and HBIT) and they're not worth much money-wise, but it's an option. Additionally, I've found lots of folks don't know about Hive Engine, these tokens have drawn them deeper into the chain, I think.
Your #1 I feel really is the best reward though...a real comment, truly engaged with either the person or the content or both. Nice job.

Tip tokens are an excellent way to reward, I didn’t even think of that because I’ve never done it myself. I have certainly been sent tip tokens before though.

That is a great question.
I prefer PeakD for most things.
Ecency is my favorite mobile application, the push notifications are great. I also like how you get points for using the app and can use them to promote your posts.
LeoFinance is amazing if you're looking for mostly crypto content. Their mobile app is looking good too and should be on iOS soon, already on Android.
3Speak is my go to for videos.
I only use hive.blog for the internal market, which is very useful.
Liketu is a good photography app that is similar to Instagram.
One is bound to find at least 1 of the 4 options you mention Daltono, I like the comment option, I have tried the upvoting other post a few times. Am yet to try the tipping lol, because I will actually be sending my money instead of rewarding via my HP.

Tipping is the hardest to do for sure, but sometimes it is the best way to show that you REALLY appreciate something.

It’s all part of the intricate mechanics that make up Hive. Pretty sure the formula was created by a genius and more intelligent people have made modifications to turn it into what we have today. Pretty amazing.
Yes if I remember correctly Hive was originally created as Steem by Dan Larimer, the same guy who built EOS.
Yes. The whole reason I even got into crypto was because I started watching a lot of videos with his dad Stan doing interviews. Very smart father son duo.
