DCITY pre-announcement fails to pump prices, UI delivery delay expected!

SIM and DCity are the best #defifarming, #nft game in existence! And its built right here on HIVE.

Its about to roll right out of Beta into general release at the end of this month with the long awaited 3rd edition of cards, a huge governance update as well as new mechanisms like combine and card loading.

I continue to be bullish on this unique asset class, as I have written about in the past including recently, because the upside multiplication has so much potential.

Today in the DCity Discord there was some sharing of screenshots for the updated user interface. According to the schedule announced last week, the UI should be released next wednesday.

But, according to the chat, the UI release might be delayed as they continue to test all the new features and try to guarantee a smooth rollout into the next phase of this project.

Here we can see a new horizontal layout for TECH, making room for new branches of the popular tech-mining functionality.

Another promised delivery is the completely redesigned layout for all the various important numbers that one wants to see when we are visualizing our DCities. A very interesting add on is the Global Income and Global Population statistics.

The price of SIM has still been feeling the downward pressure, as there is more than 10 days to go to the official release of 3rd edition and all that comes with it. The markets don't want to react too early, there is still time to accumulate SIM if you think it through and decide that the upcoming announcement might move the bar.

image.png

I will be taking a close look at the market over the next 10 days, if possible I will be entering in SIM on any dip, trying to keep from spending it on the market, although if the price of SIM goes up, even if taxes stay high, the best ROIs will become available for those who bought the dip on cards, the SIM printers.

Each and everyday our cities are accumulating SIM, this is the legacy of the DCITY cards!

image.png

We can see that the top 10 SIM holding accounts remains unchanged, with some growth in the raw numbers of SIM being held onto. Don't forget the holding rewards for hanging on to loads of SIM over a 30 day average period!

image.png

You can see the lobbying for the Holding rewards is low, with only 46.2% of the voters lobbying for this. The total is set to double from 100 to 200 hive per day maximum, but when things like the 'reward pool' and 'income tax reduction' are listed, those that are holding SIM will basically be deciding through which mechanism the game will release payment.

Of course these new governance changes are slated for up to 2 months after the 3rd edition release, which puts them comfortably into June. It will be an exciting summer as we all work to onboard our friends into the top #defifarming game on any platform!

Freedom and Friendship!

I don't have a lot, but I'm letting what I do have pile up so that I have something to play with when the new cards come out. I've never been one of the naysayers and really believe in the promise this game holds. How many of you are with me? :)

Thanks for the new UI pictures. I might have to decide to start stocking up on some SIM soon but I kind of am waiting for the prices to drop more. My current SIM holdings aren't big enough to get a piece of the pie but I think growing that might net a decent return even if taxes are high.

Thanks for that post! Stacking up SIM in the @hivehustlers account, can’t wait to pile into some 3rd edition cards.

The new UI is really nice ! Can't wait to see it in game.

I'm still in the game and I really hope 3rd edition will solve that high taxing issue.

Delays are part of life I suppose. I much favour a robust rollout a few weeks late rather than a buggy rollout that will deter players.

But the pictures make for a nice teaser, and if I can make any suggestion then I think it'd be really cool to learn how many buildings there are of each type in the UI as well! :)

Since I am a more casual player, I am not as focused on the upcoming changes (other than looking for a decrease in taxes). I don't see the leader boards (or rewards) changing much any time soon, but it will be interesting to see how these changes affect the play of the game.

Looking forward to the 3rd, will increase my investment further. 1M SIM sits around 1500Doge right now, but that can swing pretty fast.
