As usual, the first of the month is it means it's time for another Hive Power Up Day. So it's time to check up on my goals and make sure to set my next month's goal. It's also the start of a new year.
Hive Power Up Day
More information about Hive Power Up Day (HPUD) can be found at the February HPUD by "@"traciyork. I don't really qualify for rewards anymore but I will still power up each month as part of my general monthly task. This month, I earned 360 HP and it's slightly less than last month. While I am not yet at a dolphin yet, I am really close to getting there and I should be reaching it later this week.
My current HP before powering up is 5,552 HP and I plan on powering up 10 HIVE this month. It is slightly lower than my usual but I don't want to change my HBD into Hive just yet and I prefer to do that later in the year when my HBD goal is closer. The results of this can be seen in the picture below and here is the transaction link.
My Saturday Saver's Challenge for 2023 is pretty much my hive goals for 2023. So this portion of HBD has been moved towards my weekly updates towards my goals and my latest update can be found here.
Monthly Goals
Here I will set my goals for the month and review my previous month's goals.
Previous Month Summary
Here I will review the goals I set for my January goals. My Hive goals went well and I surpassed my goal without any issues.
I took part in Leo Power Up Day (LPUD) and staked the 374 LEO I need for my goal. This dropped down the LEO that I need for my 2023 goals and I plan to drop it down further because I did manage to buy 200 LEO off the market two weeks ago. I didn't get any lucky delegation wins this month but it still adds up over time. In terms of my post, I did manage to get the 3 posts per week done without too many issues.
My INDEX order never got filled but I did place an order for 50 of them today. So I will just try to get that done this month along with my usual 25 INDEX. I am still able to get that Splinterlands chests without too many issues and I have been lucky to get at least 50 season chests for both seasons in January. So there are no issues with my Splinterlands-related goal for focus chests.
January goals
I will just use the monthly goals as usual because I haven't set any yearly goals.
- 3 Blog Posts a week (Actifit does not count for this)
- 1,000 comments for the month
- 5,850 HP
- 4,550 Leo Power Staked (add 326 LEO)
- Buy 25 INDEX
- Get at least 1 chest per day for Splinterlands focus
I have yet to set my total goals for 2023 but I am cutting back some of my goals and leaving it at this. I have cut down Defi and I might add once every few months instead of every single month.
Conclusion
Life is tough as work is taking up most of my time but I powered up and set my goals for the upcoming month. I am still able to show up every single day and do my usual commenting. This has been paying off and I am doing quite well towards my own goals.

You're closer to your dolphin goals than you realize it. I think you're settling up nicely, I wouldn't want to change my HBD at the moment too, because my long-term HBD goal is 10k and I'm still building towards that. Goodluck with this month.

Thank you and I know that I am close to being a dolphin. It should probably take less than a week before I get there. Good luck with your goals as well and I think 10k HBD is a great goal. With the 20% APR, it would mean that you get over 100 HBD a month in interest.
