The Leomobile App: A Definition Of Class & Smoothness

So I proceeded to download the Leomobile app from playstore after a series of positive reviews on-chain. It was only 14MB I'm size, especially for people who are bothered about the cost of downloading on Android. This is awesome because it's a well-loaded app with so many exciting features.

So after 10-hours of using the app, I can say my first-hand experience has been ease, smoothness, class and utility. The fact that I could easily access the app using HIVESIGNER is cool. Although I had to first access the app using my posting key, the first impression was that there were no bugs or lags while I tried to sign in.

It felt like signing in with a lite UI. One thing I've always laid emphasized is fluidity when using an app. This enhances its user's friendliness and the more a user experiences smoothness, it'll increase their curiosity, which would in turn create interest, then exploration which then facilitates longevity.

The Theme Colors

There is so many fascinating difference between leofinance.io and Leomobile but firstly I'll like to talk about the options for different colors to blend with the traditional orange colors. For me, the only Hive end that white looks good on is

Hive.blog / hive.blog
. I went ahead to toggle the dark and the white colors and I saw that the dark one was way better.

I didn't want my Leo to look funny, so I didn't change the default orange, because I felt it was what makes the app unique, although the colors were probably there to provide more options for the users and I think this is good.

The Vote Slider

The second thing and a huge difference is the vote slider. My word! This is sleepy. I don't know if anyone has experienced difficulties with setting a 1% vote on either peakd or hive.blog, this slider is cool, efficient, fast, and reliable. How to use it is simple, slide it up or down. It's set to 50% by default, to the right, you'll automatically see your voting power as you're sliding up or down and the beautiful orange colors feel sleek.

It's by far the best voting slider on any Hive's UI or app because of its seamlessness and efficiency. Although I believe this voting power is strictly my Leo power because it's a Leo app. I do not own any secondary account for Leo curation, so this is tied to my hive power as well. So since my hive stake is tied to my Leo stake, I prefer to do my curation from this app.

The Options When Making A Post

The next thing I checked was the option to add a post Now the difference here is that in Leofinance.io, you'd next click some options below the post to preview your post. With the app you only need to toggle the preview section and the main post section, it's very smooth and it does not load at all. Plus.

Their app has its inbuilt markdown making it specifically easy for a new user to experiment with the markdown and specifically choose the one they want. However, one can externally write their post and import it. Whichever way it is, the app supports external markdown option and doesn't restrict users from using only the in-app markdown.

The Preview Option

Another thing is the two options to view the posts. I think this is a very cool option even if it doesn't seem significant. I'm saying this again. A great app is knowing for having options. Taking a look I think there's the grid view and the full view. I prefer the grid view because I like scrolling past posts with ease, I like everything small, so I don't want the image of a post to be too vivid, rather, I like to see it beside the title of the post. However, this might not matter for too many people.

Looks Of The Mobile Notification

One interesting aspect is the notification. I'll like to talk about the mobile notification. Now whether the app is running in the background or not, it pops up notification. One exciting thing is, if you're using Android 12, you can set your phone's notification to pop up notifications from the Leo app. This way you'll never miss any notification. However, if you're using ginabot, you might not need to go the extra mile. Even if you are, you might still want to experience the pop-up notifications on your device.

The In-app Notification

What about in-game notification? Nothing special, it's just cool. Immediately you click a notification from your mobile, it takes you directly to the text, then you'll have an option to reply to the comment. One thing I've come to discover is that this app takes away the hassle of engagement. The ability to switch from one page to another is the selling point.

Thing To Improve On

While I've been taken away by the seamlessness of this app, I think there are still issues that can be enhanced and improved. The first thing is that its notification is just a bit slower. For example, I use both ginabot and the Leo app. Sometimes the ginabot notification is always faster and sometimes I'll need to wait about 45 seconds before the Leo app notification can come in.

Another thing is, that there's no option to change the payout from dollars to leo. I've scavenged throughout the app for this option but I've not gotten it and I think this will be a great addition, that's if it's not there already.

A Review On PlayStore

In conclusion, the upgrade to the app has been stunning over the last couple of 6 months. I've gone ahead to leave a review on PlayStore, not that this is relevant, I just feel like these reviews might mean something. The users' friendliness of this app is awesome and one part of this app that isn't speedy is the mobile notification. I like to see this app on a 5G phone. My device is 5G enabled, but it's not working at the moment. Overall, I believe that this has been an awesome experience, I wouldn't see the need to use the web and the app simultaneously. The app wins it for me.

Sort:

My favorite color are white and blue, so I had my theme color changed to blue and it has been joy using it.

The voting slider just makes voting an absolute ease, you want to choose desired percentage without hassle and that is what the mobile app gives.

The first thing is that its notification is just a bit slower.

I notice this too, it takes some seconds for it to load so I had to refresh and wait few seconds for it to load.

Overall the Leofinace Mobile app have really makes engaging faster, am loving the notification.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah we can actually say that irrespective of the notification issues or the edit button and all. I basically think it's systematically enhances engagement to a really great level, I'll be interchanging and using the app and web till these changes are made and corrected. Overall great job in total especially with the voting slider and the speed of the app itself.

I haven't tried posting via the App will have a look at it. Web version of creating a content might be preferable for me but I still have to check using the app

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

Well it depends on preference, to some people the web version is still bae.

There is so many fascinating difference between leofinance.io and Leomobile but firstly I'll like to talk about the options for different colors to blend with the traditional orange colors.

I have not tried it so far, but multiple theme colors sounds very good. Most applications have either dark (close to black) and light (mostly white) theme colors, and nothing between them, so they are literally black and white. Good to see that there is an app with themes with multiple colors. I currently do not know what are the currently available theme color choices, but Green on black, and white on blue would be awesome. By the way, the green on black would remind me of a Linux terminal. When I use a Linux terminal, then I use mostly these colors.

Haha you're right, it's mostly black and white on most of these apps, I like the options here but I'm really happy with the black and orange on the app. It gives me the traditional leofinance vibes. I think if you try the app, you'd like it, although it's still got some challenges, but overall it's great.

As soon as I read your post, I went ahead to download the App. But there's still one thing I think is missing. From the Profile Menu, am supposed to be able to see All my post. But I can only see post I made on my blog. There should be a tab for All post or post made to communities. And also when clicking on my Notification to open, it says failure loading post. All other things are perfectly okay. Let them kindly work on these.
#leofinance

From the Profile Menu, am supposed to be able to see All my post.

The app is specifically for posts on Leofinance only, for example you are not going to see your post about food on the app which I actually prefer as it narrows makes my interest on finance/money related content

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Oh..okay. now I get.

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

Cool bro 😎

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

The app actually let's you see notifications from posts without the Leo tag but when you click them, you'll get an error response. So I think they should take this off completely.

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

Yes I noticed that, in a way I get notified even if it not Leofinance related notification, it then makes me realize I have other notifications which requires my attention.
I will have them leave it 😃

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

Ops ... I did not know this, the range of actions is narrowing.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes I actually prefer it, if I want general community posts I will used Peakd.

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

Do you post with your smartphone? It's not very convenient, in my opinion. You can ruin your eyesight by staring at a small screen.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I used to post from my phone before getting a laptop, not really convenient compared to the laptop, I still will be sticking to posting from my PC unless am away from home and not with my laptop

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

I have no idea how to write posts on the phone, I constantly press a few letters on the on-screen keyboard)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It's majorly for finance contents. If you're an avid user of the Leo UI this app is systematically meant to make life easier.

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

Okay. note Sir. thanks so kindly.

I still haven't downloaded the app but I heard a lot of people have downloaded it. I just have the feeling that I would just get distracted during work if I were to put that on my phone.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well, you should contemplate getting the app, I think you won't be as distracted as you think

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

I'm more of a desktop user. Therefore I never checked out the mobile version. From what I can see from the review LeoMobile is on par with the first rate social media applications in terms of good design and UX.

You're right about the design and the UX, I think it will only get better with time.

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

The Leo mobile app has much improved. It works seamless now but there's is one thing. When I make a comment, send it and I check that I made an error. I can't edit, that's the only small problem !

Yes, I think this too is an issue. The last upgrade was about 3 days ago, hopefully they'll add this in the next update.

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

I was about to type the same, good thing I noticed your comment. The edit is a must. I had to go to the desktop app to edit my erroneous comment made on the mobile app, lol!

It now seem like the edit button is now a necessity, because we can't use the UI without making mistakes.

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

That's right, it is inconvenient without it. We are prone to making typos or errors and the edit feature is a must.

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

😅😅😎😎😎
You should at least thank God for this update done some days ago.
It wasn't as smooth as this last week. But the update has done a lot
I've noticed you can't reply a comment too.
I believe they are working on it.

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

The app is really sleek. I had issues downloading and logging in at first but it was sorted. And yes, the orange is unique.

Yeah, the orange is unique, I didn't even have any issues whatsoever
