Curious how much you've made as a LP for wLEO on Uniswap?

in LeoFinance4 years ago

Those who are providing liquidity for wLEO on Uniswap are also collecting trading fees...

While most are focused on the 300k LEO bounty being offered by the leofinance team, there is also another way you can earn from providing liquidity to the wLEO pool on Uniswap...

And that's from the trading activity that takes place within the pool.

As a liquidity provider you will collect a portion of all the trading that takes place within the pool.

The fee is .3% and divided amongst all the liquidity providers.

While that may not amount to much currently, if there is ever a decent amount of trading activity in the pool, LPs stand to make a nice return.

Ok, so how does impact me?

Well, as mentioned above, if you are an LP for the wLEO pool, you are also likely collecting some of the trading fees as well.

In order to see your portion go ahead and click on the accounts tab on uniswap show below with the first red arrow on the left...

And then go ahead and type your ethereum wallet address in the blank that the second red line is pointing to above.

If you are using metamask like the vast majority seem to be, just simply open the metamask extension and then copy and paste the wallet address right into that blank.

From there, it will show you the total liquidity you are providing, to which pools, and how much you have earned as an LP.

Mine looks like this for wLEO:

My earnings thus far...

So far I have accumulated about $3.50 from trading fees for the the roughly $5k liquidity I have provided over the last several days.

It's not going to make me rich, but hey, it's free money on top of the portion of the 300k LEO bounty I will also be receiving roughly every two weeks for 90 days.

And if the trading activity picks up the amount earned via fees will go up as well.

The total liquidity in the pool is now roughly $230k.

I suspect that number will continue to climb as more LEO power downs come in as well as when part of the 300k LEO bounty gets paid out and people inject it right back into the pool.

Stay informed my friends.

Sort:

I added 9212 USD worth of WLEO and ETH 3.6 days ago and have made 7.10 USD in fees. Running at 7% in fees APY to date.

And my 9212 is now worth 10135, which is like 10,000% :)

That's insane! In a good way obviously.

That's very solid returns indeed, and doesn't factor in the LEO bounty you will be getting a nice chunk of as well! :)

Yes, that's true. It's hard to estimate how much bounty I will get as the pool is growing daily.

Hey, what is your secret in collecting so many fees? My fee rewards are so much less impressive:

Or maybe you get my fees, while I can not collect myself those which I pay to the pool operations...

I think it's just that I was one of the first in the pool, so I've had longer to collect

That's actually higher than I would have guessed given the short time!

Hey cheers, that's useful I was wondering how much I'd earned!

Glad it was helpful. I saw a couple people asking how to find that information...

Indeed that is one opportunity that few used, but just those that had the liquidity and funds to use them. While the fees portion is not revolutionary, I am wondering for the $5k that you put as liquidity - how much LEO you will receive...?

Based on my current share of the pool and if were to stay that way for the rest of the 90 day period, I estimate I would receive somewhere around 9k LEO total.

Given the gas fees, what's the minimum amount of wLEO you need to stake to make it worthwhile?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I'd ballpark 1000 LEO as a minimum. You'd also need the equivalent in ETH, to fill the other side.

I believe the minimum is 100 LEO, but I'd have to double check on that. Given the fees I wouldn't stake anything less than 1,500 or so at a time, though that is just an estimate on my end. Basically, the more the better.

Now I'm wishing I have at least 1000 LEO to join the liquidity pool. Even I do, I still need equal amount of ETH..sad

In the end, you need money to make money.😕

Nice returns for such a short time.
