TOKENIZED communities and Fixing our UX!

I mentioned it in a few of my other posts that arent related to marketing but this is a story I want to keep going for a simple reason.

TOKENIZED COMMUNITIES NEED TO BE THE FUTURE OF HIVE!

And I will be repeating this where ever I can. I will DM you, I will call you at work, I will knock on your door and ask you:

Have you heard about our lord and savior "Tokenized Communities?"

Ive been working on marketing for a few months now and in that time ive seen what exact problems Hive is facing. And its not the problems you might think. All of them seem to be related to user experience and community content valuation.

  1. Regular users in any large amount will NEVER jump through the hoops of Hive account creation or put in effort to store, understand the bunch of passwords we have. THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN IN A MILLION YEARS! Stop viewing the signup process from the point of view of a hiver. View it from the point of view of a random uninformed visitor!
SOLUTION: Login through email/facebook and frontend seamless account custodial services.

  2. Long form content has been for years the basis of how we assigned value to content. That kept us in our small niche and away from mainstream adoption. Not every person can write a 500 word blog but every idiot can write a 500 character tweet.
let me illustrate what I mean.
Out of 1000 clicks I got on our LinkTree yesterday. https://linktr.ee/_Hive.io

image.png

35% clicked on the @ecency "Download Mobile APP".

25% clicked on the @hiveonboard "Sign Up Here"

3% clicked on the Blogging option! Only 3%! (I removed the option afterwards.)

You will not get the mainstream to use Hive through blogging. We need to move away from blogging. It needs to be a niche even on Hive.

SOLUTION: Move everything to second layer which will allow for short form content to thrive while being able to compete with existing dapps.
Right now, no dapps offering short form content can compete with @peakd, @ecency, @hiveblog because the community views short form content as junk. Once "COMMUNITY TOKENS" are a thing then each dapp will have their own token and each will be able to compete regardless of content form.

It is clear at this point in time that Frontends and investors arent keen in having HiveEngine integrated. Im eagerly waiting for @threespeak to unveil their idea of community tokenization.

What ever comes first. SMTs or the 3speak system, there is only 1 thing that matters.

It needs to be a plug and play modular system with preset templates for content type that can be set up in 3 clicks by the most basic of users with 0 (ZERO) dev skill required. Token exchange built alongside it.

This is the future I see.

A Hive where frontends care most about user experience at all levels, where users can start using Hive without requiring any special knowledge or effort. Where anyone can create any community with their own token and economy in 3 clicks. Once we achieve that, we will thrive.

What do you mean? I can see my Hive Engine wallet and do all operations on it right from PeakD.

PeakD will also work on showing Hive Engine token rewards on posts, as far as I understood.

And Hive Engine is about to release a new frontend (Outposts) that is all about tokenized communities.

Oh, and PeakD will work on custodial accounts also.

Not sure about other frontends.

Im talking about being able to create your own LeoFinance in 3 clicks. An option that is front and center and a upgrade of the community system to "Tokenized communities".

And Hive Engine is about to release a new frontend (Outposts) that is all about tokenized communities.

Sounds encouraging but im hoping for something accepted across teh board and integrated with Hive in a decentralized manner.

Oh, and PeakD will work on custodial accounts also.

Ive been trying to encourage them for a few weeks now. They had that planned but scrapped it. Hoping to see it return.

EDIT: i just saw they will be doing that with Facebook.
Thats amazing news. Game changer

Maybe just stop calling all the various forms of content we have here, "Blogging" ... ?

Would that help?

Because there's a fuck of a lot more going on here in the "Blogging Space" than just "blogging".

Something to think about.

Look around. There are short posts, long posts, art posts, music posts, blog posts, articles, photos, videos, personalities, funny stuff, happy stuff, sad stuff, BITCHY STUFF! Wow this list is getting long. But if the plan is to pay people for tweets, because EASY, and make the musician look like a fool who can't even compete with a tweet, then all you got is twitter that tweets about itself.

And yes the second layer. Games, NFTs, communities. What are you panicking about?

See this? I'm on PeakD. It's a platform. You can do whatever the fuck you want with it. If you don't like long form, don't create long form. If you expect to earn the same with a tweet as someone who put a solid effort in with the hopes of captivating an audience with a form of content people enjoyed in mass (you know, the things people tweet about sometimes and share links to), yeah, I don't see how that's going to work.

Do you not see trend setters? What is so fucking terrible about "blogging" being something that makes money now (it always did)? Almost the entire time I've been here I've come across The Anti-content. They'll sell themselves short by saying nothing has value. That's no different than trying to sell someone a bottle of water by telling them it is piss. Then they can't figure out why they can't sell any water.

And yeah, probably solve signups...

Have a good day, dude.

If you want short form to reign, maybe have a good long look at what I'm doing right now (this comment). See what this is? I can get paid for this. But I certainly wouldn't expect a ten spot. This is where those folks you're looking for typically spend their time. Add a share button. Add the ability to write a shortform comment to go along with a reblog (change that to repost) with a comment section under that and you got your twitter.

I'll say it ONE more time. "Consumers." This is getting nutty already. Spend years attracting content and neglect attracting consumers for that content. Puzzled. What's wrong? "Well. This isn't working. Let's get rid of the content and attract consumers now..."

I can't handle this...

Have a nice summer, Hive.

Excuse Me! What Happened To https://d.buzz ?

You could check newer features on https://next.d.buzz
@chrisrice is very active there. Hive account is @dbuzz you can check all the cool features there. There's been tons of development compared to how they started :)

It doesnt work well with frontends and the current system. Im not sure what it looks like now but when i used it.

  1. upvotes constricted to 1 dollar.
  2. Peakd/hiveblog showing tweets in feeds.
  3. triggers autovotes.

Frontends and dbuzz simply arent compatible.

  1. Max-accepted-payouts can be adjusted on https://d.buzz

  2. We worked on a MR for Hivemind over a month ago, that would add filters for Dapps like @peakd, Hive.Blog and @ecency, making D.Buzz compatible w/all.

  3. I think autovotes were already turned off for D.Buzz @d-zero.

Do you mean that in your #2 sentence, most (if not all) other dapps will have to filter posts from D.Buzz? 🤨 It is technically possible, but really looks impractical. 😒 If at least one of the more popular Hive frontends (#PeakD, #Ecency, #HiveBlog) don't want to implement that post filter feature, then you won't achieve "compatibility wtih all". 😑

I mean, users will be able to filter their feed based on the character count they want to view.

It may not be possible to be compatible w/all, at least right away, but we can improve compatibility, and IMO it would be smart for Dapps to follow suit.

What if the character count of the post is hilariously long, like the one below, which is obviously more than 280 characters plus three "normal" links combined? 🤨 Unless you fix existing issues first, your developers' problems would multiply. 😒

Hey @d-zero,

We still have a lot going on in the background, including a 2-hectare mixed-use compound in the #Philippines that in part, will be used as a main office for @dbuzz as well as offering housing for core members of our team.

  • Photos & Videos coming soon.

    Posted via D.Buzz

I thought for a moment that the "core members" of your team are those who are very active members of D.Buzz (who will either become employees or tenants who will pay rent at a reduced price). 🤔

The "Core" members are basically the people @nathansenn and I decide are core members, and it can change, but only if needed over time.

  • Core Team Members.

Refers to our business, investment, and opportunity group here in Davao for the most part, but is not limited to it.

I did not say that what I thought for that moment was right. 🤨 That's why I said "for a moment". 😒

I don't think you have the resources to accept tenants (according to your plan). 😑

We need developers, you know those people we pay a ton of HBD to each month to make the sign up process easier or to give other devs the tools to be able to achieve this easier. There has to be a reason devs are not building other platforms on top of hive besides a few games and cookie cutter blog posts. It's either too complicated or it's not possible with what hive currently offers. Both or either needs to be a primary focus right now.

I cant comment on programing difficulty.

D. ONE CLICK CUSTODIAN ACCOUNTS FOR NEW USERS
Meaning sign up with FB login and don't have to deal with keys until they're ready to own their own account and be responsible for keys. This is for your friends and family who just want to comment on your post. They don't care about crypto or blog writing... YET!

Aj super. Vec sam mislia da me nece poslusat. Nisam vidia ovaj post. thx

Basically we need more developers that know more about marketing and more marketers that know about developing ;). Hopefully we can get some good growth and visibility from the crazy game summer.

If i manage to find a video creator on Hive. It was in my plans but hiring someone on the outside costs between 4000-5000 USD for a short video.

But you are correct, we need those. If you know anyone that could do it cheaper, ill talk to them.

EDIT: Thx for the suggestion. I actually found someone cheaper. This is now on the agenda and will be made in the next month.
