Time?.... or Money??

Hello guysss.... How are we holding up?

So, I got into a discussion recently on the importance of Time and Money.

Which is more relevant?
Which is more Valuable?

Before I go ahead, I would like to remind us that truth is relative. Whichever way you want to look at it, is fine.

However, this is how I see it.....

We live in a world of space and time.
There's hardly anything that isn't affected by time. All living things and even inanimate things are affected by time.

Like the saying goes; "there is time for everything"
EVERY THING.

For living things, there's a cycle that progresses with time. That is; birth, growth and eventually death.

For non- living things, time affects them differently. Most things change with time. That's why we have depreciation. You buy let's say a tablet today, it's value doesn't remain the same after some years whether it's used or not.

Same goes for any other appliances, house, vehicles, clothing and so forth.

Now, let's talk about finance.
The value of money is never fixed. It has never been. It's always changing with time. Sometimes, its value increases, sometimes it goes down in value. This is determined by several factors over time.

Now, lets talk about cryptocurrency and blockchain.
The trading charts are never fixed. It is bullish this second, bearish the next second. Crypto traders know how important time is to their trading. The trading charts are studied with reference to time.

The predictions are attached to time. You read accurately, you get profit; you read wrongly, then you’ll likely run at a loss. Whether your reading is right or wrong, whether you'll make profit or loss, you'll know that over time.

All tokens are affected by time just like everything else.

Now, we live in a world where everyone is trying to survive. If you ask most people what is most important to them, you'll be surprised that only very few would mention family or friends.

What everyone cares about is MONEY.

Now, I ask again... What is more important?
Time? Or Money?

Money is very important to me, just like most other people, I presume. Money provides comfort and peace of mind to an extent. In fact, these days I think more of how to make money than anything else because who doesn't like comfort?

On the other hand, there is time.
Time is something that everyone has, equally.
Same 24 hours in a day, same 12 months in a year.
This time keeps counting. It's not affected by your action or inaction. It keeps going by. It's left for you to decide how you want to spend your share of the 24 hours each day.

Proper, quality use of your time yields quality result while wastage of time on valueless things yields of course, valueless results.

If you however decide to spend most of your time looking for money and making investments to cater for your financial needs, you might eventually make profits and at the end of the day, you're happy and satisfied.

But can you dispute the fact that you were able to make that because you had the time to make your moves?

You spent time learning the skills, you spent time practicing and you spent time working. Time was the resource that was always there before money ever came and it's what you'll need to spend the money as well. Like the saying goes; Time is money!

Take for instance, you're given $10,000 for free to spend within 2 seconds and you're given just $10 for free as well to spend in 24hours.
Which do you think, you'll value more?

Now, I ask again.. Time or Money?

I'm looking forward to your quality replies in the comment section.

Thanks so much for reading through.

I appreciate your supports so much.🥰

Honestly! To some, we shouldn't compare both. To others, time and money are inseparable. Time is virtually money.

But they both have distinct and related roles!

More time could mean more work and more money! But more money could mean less work and more time!

Omo! More money joor! I don tire!

More time could mean more work and more money! But more money could mean less work and more time!

Omo!.. This your statement confuse me oo 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Omo! More money joor! I don tire!

I'll just go with this one biko, I no fit laugh🤣🤣

Lol. Imagine say God double the day from 24 to 48 hours, everything will double, sleeping time, as well as working time.

But if your money is doubled today, Na only enjoyment go Sabi u.

48 hours will be too long oo... That means 2 days in a day? And we'll eat like 6 times before the day finish. Omo!

God should just add like 6 hours to the 24 and triple this small money wey I get😂😂

i choose time because time heals everything

Hi @irfanm
Thanks for your comment!🤗

Time is most important to me. You can always make more money. As far as time goes, we all have 1440 minutes a day. No more, no less. you cannot make more of it.

Thank you @beststart
The more time we have, the more chance we have to make money.

I think time is much more important. If you don't have time, you can't do anything.

Take for instance, you're given $10,000 for free to spend within 2 seconds and you're given just $10 for free as well to spend in 24hours.

When you swapped the times in the two examples above, which one would you choose?

Money is important to everyone, but I think time is more important.

I think it's obvious which I or anyone will choose if the times were swapped but the illustration just shows how much important Time is for everyone and everything.

Money is important to me though🤣🤣

Money is important to everyone. But we need to have time to spend the money. 🤣

Or we need time to make money.

We entered the Matrix.
Blue pill? red pill? 🤣

For years, my mind was fixed to attain financial freedom. It was only on Hive through taskmaster that I stumbled upon this idea of time freedom.

The correlation between the two of course is not that easy to identify. We need time to learn skills to earn money. We also need time for our investment to grow.

On the other hand, there are people who have lots of time, but they don't know how to use it. Not a few are actually wasting their time.

Moreover, we also know people who are financially free but seem they have no time for anything else but to grow their money. That is also unfortunate.

However, if I will choose between the two, I would choose money in my younger years and time in my later years in life.

Mhmmmm... Nice one! @rzc24-nftbbg
Time isn't more or less whether you're young or old. It's still the same 24 hours a day. However, I'm guessing you mean more "free" time at older age and less free time at younger age. The age when you're still building.

Thanks so much for your comment!🤗

Yes, that's what I mean. My choice is correlated to a general observation in the corporate world. They say that younger people have lots of time but don't have much money while older people have lots of money, but almost have no time to spend it. Time is a scarce resource whereas money is abundant. If we will take 80 years old as the average human lifespan, everybody has at least 700,800 hours to spend. If I could return back the clock, I would have spent 50% of it to achieve financial freedom for me to enjoy time freedom with the other 50%. However, since it is rare to see young men in their 20s think like 50 +, I didn't notice that I already consumed 481,800 hours of my time. How I wish that before my remaining 219,000 hours will expire, what we do here on Hive will help contribute to that vision of both financial and time freedom. Blessings!

Yeah... Totally get you.
The time factor should always be taught of. Sometimes, I wish I was thinking like I do now few years back.

But older people have experience and understand the importance of quality time. Sadly, most young people would have wasted their young days only to realize when it's too late that they've wasted a very important resource😪😪

Thanks though for raising the question. It's a good mental exercise.

Yeah it is.. Thanks for engaging😘😘

both!!!

Lol... Yeah, both play their roles in life.

The most important is time. If time is used wisely to do quality things for instance investing in knowledge. With that knowledge one can make enormous amount of money.

Money when lost can be made again no matter the amount

A minute lost can never be recovered

Well said! @hislab it's definitely to keep in mind.

I think time is more important. Without time the money does you no good. Thanks for sharing on ListNerds.

Thanks so much @rcaine
Totally agree with you.
