You Don't Have To Convince Others .:. WorkerBee PH-Pool Week 169

in LeoFinance6 months ago

I have to mention again the BTC debate video which I shared in this post as certain things are important to acknowledge but can be easily skipped because of a lot of yelling and talking at the same time...😃 I would like to underline only one thing from the very end of that video when Erik Voorhees said something like this...

It's 2024... I don't need to keep making the case that Bitcoin is something... The world believes it's something... I don't have to, like, defend it much...
It's an option... There is no Bitcoiner that would force either of you to ever use it

If we try to implement the same logic here on HIVE, I still think that onboarding on HIVE isn't an issue at all... If we have created a great place that is built on a healthy foundation, there will be no reason for pushing and convincing others to come and join us... I think that many forgot how the old chain had a huge amount of people joining the platform when the price of the tokens went up... The token value did all the marketing for us!

On the other side, if we didn't create a cozy place here, we should reflect on it, recognize our mistakes, and try to improve! Without blaming someone who didn't even come to our chain as his fault! I know it's impossible to say things in black or white as there are always a lot of shades of grey, but it is a good starting point...

In the end, we don't have to convince others to join or not join HIVE... If we believe in the chain and work on adding value to it, our efforts (and wallets) are visible to everyone! Your skin in the game (or no skin) is visible too! Your actions are talking instead of you! But, when we onboard people, we need that SECOND step (or FIRST), and that's to accept new people to communities, show them around, and help them to grow until they are ready to do the same for other newbies... That is CRUCIAL!

Let's go back to the report numbers! We had an interesting week for sure... Some people delegated additional WORKERBEE tokens, some people undelegated, and we got 1 new member in the pool, too!! A warm welcome to @dantrin for joining the pool! I hope you will have fun following these reports and earning weekly mining (and bonus) rewards from taking part in the pool!

In the last 7 days we mined 116 BEE tokens in total!!!

This POOL doesn't have fees and you get up to 20% MORE by delegating to it!

What about the bonus tokens?
I can't resist the tokens that have a big buy wall and a steady (sometimes slow) growth of the wall price... One of those tokens is the AWESOME token, which I paid a lot of times as a bonus reward for pool participants... I don't like to repeat myself, but in a nutshell, the token is "backed" by the @thisisawesome curation project, which generates income that is later used for buying back AWESOME tokens... I'm not sure how the project works at the moment, but that BUY order is large enough to absorb a lot of tokens and the total token supply is low...

There will be distributed 0.6 AWESOME tokens to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!

WorkerbeePHPool03.png

As always, in the end, let's give the exact numbers for this week... There will be distributed 116 BEE tokens and 0.6 AWESOME tokens as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 9.587%, and when we added the bonus it went up to 11.628%!

I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens at the moment of creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price...

Do you want to sponsor the PH-Pool with your tokens, receive a short SPONSORED segment in this post, and raise awareness about your front-end or dApp? Please let me know in the comment section, or contact me through Discord or Twitter and we will find the best solution for both parties...

If you want to join the WorkerBee PH-Pool, the only thing that you have to do is to STAKE tokens to YOUR account and DELEGATE your staked WORKERBEE tokens to THIS account (@ph1102)! Every week you will get your portion of mined BEE tokens and BONUS rewards!

In the end, we don't have to convince others to join or not join HIVE...

Yeah, sometimes they join voluntarily because they want to play Splinterlands or Rising Star 👍 !LUV

Welcome @dantrin 🤗

Exactly! Everyone has different interests and different reasons... But, we should show them around, the possibilities...

I came to this blockchain because of Spliterlands and stayed here for completely other reasons... :)

Firstly, with my little understanding, Hive is a great platform and a wonderful place to be. Well, if something is really good, we would not have to force people to join or make use of it. At the same time, Hive is somewhat complex for beginners and that’s why it is usually necessary to bring people and also guide them. Why do you think we have so many new accounts that are inactive? It isn’t because the platform is bad but because they don’t understand how it works

that’s why it is usually necessary to bring people and also guide them. Why do you think we have so many new accounts that are inactive? It isn’t because the platform is bad but because they don’t understand how it works

New users are coming to the platform for different reasons and sometimes just from curiosity... In my opinion, we are failing on the step when we should show people around when they are already signed up! Show them all the possibilities of how they can grow, where to find communities of their interests, hubs for meetups (even virtual ones), maybe "workshops" about HIVE and how it works, etc.

That's something that I try to do in my posts, or in my #HHHLive shows in the Ecency discord... Of course, there is a % of people who don't want to learn or aren't interested in the community, and for them, there is no "good way" to keep them... But, there are many that don't know where to search and where to begin, and they want to learn... Those people should be our focus!

Thank you very much @ph1102 for the welcome. I love Hive that's all I can say to that!

That's a good start! Keep building and if you need some help, ask! 🙂

At the end of the day, I think more money or more good price, of the token does 50% of the advertisement. However you're right, if what we have is completely great with lesser flaws, we don't even need all that. On second thought, I still think every project in web3 needs advertisement of some sort, because the industry is still small

I suppose it's always the same... we need a balance between things like onboarding and "educating" new Hivians to keep them on the platform...

You can't convince everyone so people should just do what they can. Just give them a reason why they might want to be on Hive and help them if they ask.

Thanks for running the pool and for the BEE/AWESOME tokens.

help them if they ask.

Yeah! Maybe we should even try to show them around without them asking... 🙂 Many people are shy or introverts, and having information about HIVE and some recommendations, and suggestions in one place could help in better integration... ;)

Yeah it's always an option, some of my friends still believe it's a scam. Haha.

Hahahaha... Well, it's time to change friends... 😂
Just kidding... but there is no sense insisting... None of my close friends are interested, so I don't even raise that topic anymore... ;)
