Rental Experiment Wrap Up - Splinterlands

Well about a week ago I wrote about how I was doing an experiment and using the rental market to boost myself up to Silver I.

After doing it, I can't say it was the most profitable endeavor...

After renting and battling every day until I had around 50-60% DEC capture rate, I made a profit of around $4.75 after a week including quest rewards.

Profit is profit, but the amount of time and effort that I put in probably makes this an experiment I would not re-do.

I think that battling at the Silver I level is a very profitable time if you have enough deck power to be there without needing to rent very much. I suppose if there were enough really cheap rentals (i.e. like 20 two cent Djinn Biljkas) then it could be optimized in such a way as to make more of a profit.

Getting to this point without rentals is now something that is easier said than done in terms of financial investment, but if you are not using rentals you can expect to make between $20-$30 a week at Silver I from quests and DEC rewards.

There is a ton of money to be made in Splinterlands, you just need to be willing to invest in it to get to the point where you can really make some.

I think I heard that Silver III was around the more profitable range for people but I am unsure if getting more collection power for Silver I is good enough. However if you don't have enough collection power, rentals are still a good way to collect enough over time. Did you get any good quest rewards?

I picked up a Djinn Chwala and a few Twilight Basiliks, nothing crazy but better than getting 2 credits or something like that. I think Silver III or Silver II would be very profitable ranges

I think Silver III is probably the most profitable for the collection power you have to rent for.

I would like to point one slight miscalculation that you are doing right now. I was getting 0.50$ per day profit in cards when I started, but now those cards are worth 100 times more at least, so every half a dollar back then is worth 50$ now. Keep doing it and persevere, at gold level you may have 8-10 chest per day.

You would be correct with that statement, but I don't know if we can expect to see 100x happening again (though I'd love to see it). There will be some growth though for sure and thus it would make it worth it to turn a profit renting cards, but it would need to be done as cheaply as possible to make it profitable in the short term at least.

did not even mention how much lands were going from 4$ to 700$. and i think getting CL packs and keeping them for one-two years with get you at least 10 times trheir actual value. it is all about patience.

Thank you very much for that information, I know that I have to know how to invest well to see the result of splinterlands
