Sublime Sunday & Pirate Sunday...

Morning everyone.....

The last two days have been some of the most difficult days in my life so far. As anyone that follows me know my dad has been in the hospital for over a month now with kidney issues and other issues as well.

Well he was moved yesterday to a rehab center 100% against his wishes. Insurance only covers a month of hospital stay.

So for two days now I’ve been watching and listening to my father cry. Which I’ve never seen before in my life.

He thinks that he is never going to get better and is going to die at the rehab center.

Now you understand why I missed my first post ever on Friday.

After he was transported to the rehab center, I decided to take a ride to kinda clear my head. I ended up driving west as the sun was starting to set. The sky was an amazing colorful pallet.

I was in an area I’ve done a bunch of work in, so I decided to go over to the marina by the lake. Glad that I did, so that I could share this panoramic photo with you.

This photo was taken by me on my IPhone SE in panoramic style.

look at this view....

After absorbing the view until the sun finally set, it was time to head back to reality.

I drove over to make sure my mom was ok. I spent some time with her, made sure she ate something. This has been very rough on her as well.

On a different note, it is #piratesunday.....

So today I’ll show off a modern day pirate plunder....

Sounds very difficult @silverd510 I know the people at the rehab want him to get better. How to Convince him of that......Take care of yourself too my friend!!!

He’s not in a good frame of mind right now. We are doing what we can to help. Thanks

Take care my friend, it's good that you are there for him!

I am always praying for your Dad, bestie!
Great piece!

More important for you to be there for your parents, even if to cry together.
I lost my father in an accident with no chance to say goodbye and say that I loved him, or share anything together for our own sake. 🙏

I get that but it doesn’t make it any easier. That really sucks I’m sorry Kerris.

It's okay.
No one says it's easy, for you or your father, anyone.
Patients are often afraid and all I could do is either hold his hand for a few minutes or give a hug and say "I'll see you later."
Damn Covid now really changed/forbids that.
I have witnessed a lot of families grieving with/over their parent.
And I have at times taken harsh criticism by family members but I understand it's part of the process. 🙏

My dad doesn’t think he’s ever coming home. It’s rough hearing that.
Oh I’m sure. My daughter is in nursing 3 right now and tells me horror stories from clinical every week.

Yeah, the horror stories. There are things class theory can't teach until you see it in a real setting.
My Provincial health has a Palliative Home Care program but I know it's likely limited due to Covid, ask if there is a similar program available. Would Probably bave to meet certain criteria but no harm asking should your father become stable.
Like your Dad or anyone else, I'd prefer to spend my last days at home.

Hey @silverd510! I will continue to pray for your dad and for your family. Take care and know that the community is behind you, and beside you, and with you....well, you get the picture.🤗🤗🤗

Thank you Elizabeth I appreciate it very much. It’s rough on my mom which is just as much of a worry to me.

It's hard when things like this happens. Take care @silverd510!

Hey Big man, sorry that is only these words I can offer you. I wish your Dad all the best and hope he gets better very soon. I'm always around in discord if you just want to rant crazy shit at me and just get shit off your chest. We've never met, we probably never will, but I do call you a friend and its not nice to hear you going through this.

Chin up, let's get through this together and in really hoping for some good news in your furutee posts. It's going to take time, but from what I've learned from you, and if your dad's anything like you he's strong and takes no shit, and will beat this.

Much love buddy
