To bleed or not to bleed?

in LeoFinance2 years ago

Bleeding profusely?

Me too.

The average human has about 5 liters of blood in them - the average trader?

After all, they do say that they are heartless vampires....

I have started my buy-in.

I don't have a huge amount to put in all at once, but I figure I can pick up a bit here and there and if all goes well, six months to two years down the track, I will be able to do okay from it.

"Okay"

What is that in crypto language?

50%? 100% 1000% 5000%

What is "worth it"?

Risk Tolerance - people talk about it, but it is only when holdings look like this:

image.png

that you recognize if you have it or not.

As well as resilience.

How does your heart feel?

It is still dropping.

BTC is currently about 5% below where it was in August last year, before 2-3 months later, it was riding the ATHs. LOL - that is pretty insane, isn't it?

Crypto is dead!

No, it is not.

Not because it is "too big to fail" - but rather that there are so many believers in it that it is going to start to get squeezed at the bottom end and then, it will start to spring back. Timeframe matters for those needing to sell to pay off their debts, but for those who are manipulating the markets globally (in the traditional markets also), they have all the time in the world.

That is what having money can do - buy time.

Haven't you worked out why "time is money" by now?

It isn't because of what you can earn in that time, that is employee thinking. It is because of the space and time money is able to buy so that a decision can be postponed, rather than forced. With money, you can hold til the grave - without money to buy time, you have to keep earning cashflow, have to keep grinding, paying attention, worrying.

Will the market go up, or down?

With money, it doesn't matter, because if it goes up all is swell and skims can be taken and if it is down, all is well and it is possible to buy in cheap so that when it is up again, more skimming can happen.

Oh, you don't have any money?

Yeah - this is the problem of poor people.

I don't have enough either, so pennies will have to do.

Don't misunderstand...

I don't want to wait either.

I am tired of all of this shit and would far prefer that at least for some time, life could be a little bit easier, that I had the extra for that time and space, instead of the chase. But, at the moment at least, it isn't to be, so like it or not, we have to play the cards we are dealt, in the conditions we are experiencing.

Are the cards bad?

Not at all.

There is opportunity here for those with a little extra, but there is also opportunity for those with not enough. But, it is going to take some risk taking.

Sucks, doesn't it?

We all dream of being able to get all we need and more, without having to expose ourselves to risk and negative outcomes, but that is what is necessary - under the conditions we currently have. No one is going to hand you the keys to your dream job, dream house, dream car, dream partner, dream family and dream feeling - that shit has to be earned, nurtured, protected. And, holding them doesn't come without cost, difficulty, challenge and pain.

Pain.

Is this painful?

Funny question, isn't it?

I will just remind you at this point that crypto, like money is a concept only and the value it represents is a cultural construct created through a shared experience. The "pain" you might be feeling, that beating heart, the worry in your bones - that is the reaction to an idea that isn't meeting your desires or expectations currently.

Get your shit together.

Proverbially,

Man up.

The world hasn't ended yet. You are currently still alive and all of the value your crypto stack was worth six months ago, a week ago or tomorrow, was and is, theoretical. It is the concept of value and while the current shared experience might be valuing less, it won't be long until that sentiment shifts in the other direction and then, you will be happy.

Don't get attached. Happiness never lasts.

Most days you don't spend much time feeling that visceral reaction to life - but you might be feeling it now looking at those charts and, that is triggered by a concept alone. You are thinking of all the things you could have done and all the things you could have bought earlier and now, you feel like a fool - your investor head that was feeling so clever, is realizing how little it knew.

Suck it up.

This is life.

And this life is far more interesting than what 95% of this world experience, as they sit on their couch watching streaming content, whilst simultaneously scrolling on their phone through a feed of filtered selfies and augmented asses.

If you want an easier life, the consumer life is waiting.

And mindlessly and stress-freely -

You'll be bled out.

The bleeding is kind of crazy but I think it's a part of the market. I just don't think I have enough cash left on land to really do too much though. I did buy a few things because they hit my plans but I wonder if I am catching a falling knife. However, it doesn't matter that much because I am willing to hold onto this for years if I need to (assuming data doesn't change my decision).

Everyone is talking about falling knives... wear gloves :)

I'm going to try to put some money into a few things now that it's lower. Typical, when I put money in everything was up a fair bit, now I've got barely anything to invest and everything down.

!PIZZA

I know the feeling!!
I am nearly always too early on these things, but when up, it won't matter too much :)

Very true mate, good luck in the coming days!

I am under the impression this is weighing on your mind a bit :)

Definitely :)

The average human has about 5 liters of blood in them - the average trader?

Sometimes the markets are bleeding for more than one year. So probably they have a lot more blood.

Sucks, doesn't it?

Depends on the viewpoint. For those, who bought at the top, it may sting a bit.

Is this painful?

If someone bought Hive around $1.50 USD (or even higher) with their hard earned money, then probably yes. Hive is currently $0.46 USD.

Yep., it can feel painful after buying so high - I know I have done it many, many times :)

It's Really sad to see that all what you've been working for now seems to be crumbling but like you said man up, it's not the end of the world.

Thank you for this amazing writeup sir.

it might crumble now, but perhaps it will make for a stronger foundation later.

Yeah, that is true. We keep hoping for the best.

I believe utilizing the opportunity at the moment is the best time to accumulate more tokens for more beneficial rewards when the prices eventually goes up.

Buy! ;D

Most people are scared they will over pay, even though they might have been happy buying at twice the price a few weeks ago.

True the market is bleeding lol
I just pray it heal quickly

Many persons are not happy

Most people aren't happy, regardless of what is happening. :)

Yea
I just pray the market, come backs to normal

Not to bleed

Crypto is in a bleed period. And as history is meant to repeat itself, same thing happened May 2021.

Lets hope for a rise again.

We have finished upgrading our website

Thankfully, we're not currently stuck in the "have to sell some to pay for life" category, although we have been there and that would massively suck at the present time.

Hopefully things will be somewhat less rocky by the time the next major outlay rolls around in late March of 2023. And if not? Oh well...

Don't have anything to "go shopping" with, however... a few pennies, and that's about it.

It's funny I can certainly never go back to the mindless scrolling and shit! It's certainly a blessing and a curse. Blessing that I'm involved in a monetized environment like all of us on here are, but the curse is that it comes with some added stresses of sorts. We are more attuned to what's going on with things, I would think. But that's being unplugged from the Matrix I think, or at least so I tell myself to have warm and fuzzy feelings about what I'm doing is meaningful lol.

I've been buying the dip that's for sure! Wish I held out a little bit longer with my buys but that's the thing about the markets, you never know when it's going to bounce back up so grab what you can, when you can. I've certainly stopped trying to sell high and buy low. Could've done it a few times but it never works out so I don't bother lol

Turns out the consumer lifestyle just isn't for me...too much debt involved..lol

Crypto is far from dead. We have some bargain basement blue light specials for those who have the wisdom to seize the opportunity. The stock markets dive and money is made on those who have no stomach for falling prices. It shakes out the speculators. But that money goes somewhere. Shaking out times have happened over and over through the years. Fear overcomes the arm chair owners and life goes on. Yeah, man up indeed!

If the bleeding deepens, I am afraid that cryptos migh become just rubbish in people's eyes. I don't care the price, but I didn't expect that cryptos would react this much against the interest hiking. It is sad to see that cryptos have not yet gone further rather than being speculative instrument for many.

Lol if you want an easier life, the consumer life is waiting.

One interesting thing about that life is how it's quick to catch on the fall of crypto but not wish to understand whats being built and how its getting ready to ship how things have been done.

Don't get attached. Happiness never lasts. — nothing is ever promised, conditions ain’t permanent, expect the worst and hope for the best.

It is all about human feeling, emotions, and reactions, when one has invested so much thinking the market would move up rather it slumped profusely, then such feeling are natural.

I am calm btw, yes I am in 60% in loss in some investment, but it fine I know what I can lose and what I can earn.

It is tug of war!!!

Bled ouuut LOL .
I am loving it , great post !
