Ask Me Anything

The other day we had a post discussing ways to increase engagement on Leofinance.

One of the suggestions was to hold an Ask Me Anything. Here is the opportunity for the community to post questions and the author, in this instance, me, to respond.

Source

We will have to slightly alter this a bit.

This is a post that is being made on the Leofinance front end. Thus, we will need to keep it within the bounds of what Leofinance stands for.

Instead of Ask Me Anything, this will be a Ask Me Anything about crypto or finance related topics.

Even with this, it is a rather large spectrum to cover.

People say it is good to have a goal so let's go for a minimum of 100 questions being asked in this post.

Also, I encourage others to follow suit over the next few days.

Together, we can make this a raging success.

Have fun and fire away.

Is there a fee efficient way to harvest CUB from the DEC/BUSD farm and move it into the CUB den?

If I click the Farm button where does the CUB end up? - I found the answer to this one. It ends up in my metamask wallet apparently. 😊

Do I just click the + in the Den to then move the CUB (from where ever it ended up) into the DEN?

Yes.

Is there a fee efficient way to harvest CUB from the DEC/BUSD farm and move it into the CUB den?

Not much that can be done about the fees. There are a number of moves that have to be made so you have to accumulate enough before harvesting and moving it around.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thanks for your help.

I'm just having a conversation in Discord about auto harvesting and the difference between the 'harvest' button and the '+' button.

I think I'm done with it for today. I'll click some buttons tomorrow and see if what I expect to happen happens. 😂

nos estas entrenando para el proximo projecto verdad? haha
you are training us for the next project right? Haha
What do you think about the community specifically hive, do you think they should change or implement something to attract more users?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think we really need ProjectBlank to be released to attract a ton of users. That is the game changer since it is something that aligns with the Internet. Short form content is a lot more popular than long form.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

If there was one thing you could instantly add to CubDefi or Leofinance tomorrow, what would it be?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I am not sure this qualifies but ProjectBlank. I wish that was out.

To CubFinance, I want to see synthetic assets traded on there. I think that would be a market that could expand very quickly.

Imagine using your crypto to by a synthetic version of Apple or Amazon.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

But one can still trade synthetic assets like mAMZN, mTSLA etc. from Mirror through CubDeFi.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thanks a lot for the answer. I can't wait for ProjectBlank myself! I've got replacements now for FaceBook, but I'm still looking for a proper Twitterkiller :).

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Do you have other sources of income besides crypto? hope it's not too personal :P

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

At this point no. I was put out to pasture almost two years ago.

I did have money saved up to covers my bills...a bit of a nest egg set aside.

I do a bit of trading here and there to make a few extra bucks. For me, I have a low cost of living relatively speaking to a lot in my area.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

So you're basically retired? isn't the daily grind on hive and leo taking its toll on somebody who should enjoy sitting around on the beach all day ? :P

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

What were you doing before being put out to pasture as you said?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Do you think hive will become more of json blockchain and move away from the blogging and more into tracking financial transactions?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes we already saw a lot of progress away from blogging. We have a strong gaming community forming.

As for financial transactions, that will require the decentralized smart contracts that people are working upon.

We will see how all that unfolds. We should have better insight in the next few months.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

What was the mindblow point for you to realize the power of hive and what it can be in the future?

What do you expect in the next years of changes on the Internet with cancel culture and all the craziness that happens in classic social media?

And the last one, what about jack dorsey and the bluesky thing, do you think it will be a strong competitor of hive or fail by itself that shows people the power of hive and true decentralization?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

What was the mindblow point for you to realize the power of hive and what it can be in the future?

Way back on Steem in 2017 I saw the potential. Blockchain was familiar to me and the idea that Dan L. set forth made a lot of sense. Of course, Steemit Inc was in the way. I believe that vision is being worked upon now.

What do you expect in the next years of changes on the Internet with cancel culture and all the craziness that happens in classic social media?

I expect a continued push towards decentralization as more powerful computing comes online. We are going to see edge computing growing in capability. As for the cancel culture, I think a blockchain like Hive will provide a lot of voice to those who are presently silenced.

And the last one, what about jack dorsey and the bluesky thing, do you think it will be a strong competitor of hive or fail by itself that shows people the power of hive and true decentralization?

I think Dorsey is totally full of it with his rhetoric. The business model of Twitter is not going to be changed. The shareholders are making money from the Web 2.0 design. To decentralize means they will have to give up that revenue which Wall Street is not about to do.

That said, we need ProjectBlank and as quickly as we can get it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

agree with you :)

Project blank will open new doors!

How can you make so many comments? vote and post? how do you do it?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Dedication and type a lot.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Do you know of any secrect project on #hive that we dont , that has you very excited???

Posted using Dapplr

No I dont have any insider information.

I am most excited about the potential of ProjectBlank.

That is the one that I think will be a major breakthrough. Unfortunately we hear nothing about it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

@trumpman made a post about $AVA, the TRAVALA crypto coin. Do you think it might be a good investment? Given all the folks looking to travel again soon as the pandemic winds down.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I dont know much about it so can't comment at all.

He is a lot more knowledgeable about it as compared to myself.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thank you for considering my question. Have a great weekend!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

CUB price prediction??

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

10x from these levels at a minimum as long as the development keeps coming out.

So look for $30+.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

What's your opinion of Peter Schiff?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

He loses people a lot of money who listen to him.

He is a gold bug because he sells it on his websites and makes a commission.

Hence I feel his view on things is completely worthless.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Who are your favorite authors for financial content? This can be on chain or off!

Raoul Pal is one I follow for crypto stuff.

I also am a fan of the works of Martin Armstrong. He is one of the few economists who truly gets it. Of course, he has extensive trading experience which is what is vital to understanding capital flow and markets.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I don’t know either of these guys I’ll have to check them out. Thanks for sharing this post is a great idea!

I hope you find some of this to be useful.

I'm looking for information to learn more about crypto and finance, I'm looking for a website or a book to recommend.

Leofinance.io is a great starting point.

Twitter is another. There is a lot of good great crypto people on there.

GREAT!

What can you say about $ADA and $DOT gaining attention, which $DOT also pitching their #Web3point0 since these blockchains have their own terms of Staking, and while #HIVE has still not gaining more attention.

Shoutout to @nathanmars for his TwitterGrind by the way.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I dont follow either close enough to be able to comment.

One thing I do know about ADA is that it has Charles Hoskinson heading it up. He is a name that commands attention. There are a few running around and he is one. Thus, what he puts out will be watched closely.

ADA also has a good plan, we will have to see if they pull it off.

Dan Larimer is the same way. His projects garner a bit of attention because of who he is. I think a little of the luster has faded on his star though.

Hive is new, we need to keep that in mind. We are barely a year old. Even though we have the legacy of Steem, we are still feeling our way.

Hive has incredible potential because there is no central figures which sounds counter-intuitive. However, we can go in many different directions that are spreading the tentacles out.

I believe Hive will be one of the first blockchains to experience a developer pump, where what is on here actually leads to a higher price; not some market pump (usually followed by the inevitable dump).

We still need a few more months to fill in the holes. One big one still remaining: inexpensive smart contracts.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I've held ADA since 2017 and excited to see how far it has come over time. It will be another "contender" for consideration as an alternative to ETH soon. Here not too long ago, it had briefly held the #3 market cap position ...

We'll see whether Charles Hoskinson and team he has gathered around him can pull off the challenge of creating a contender with "staying power" ...

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I wouldnt bet against them. However, market cap doesnt tell the story since that is hype.

The development appears to be there which is outstanding. They could take on Ethereum.

We will have to see what is built upon there.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

How do you imagine / see the LeoFinance community / project in the next 5 years?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I can see the Leofinance ecosystem being huge. I have put a target of a billion dollars out there between all the different facets that are being created here.

Cub and Blank are two projects with amazing potential. If the development continues, we can see them positioned to be really big players in each of those segments.

I also see the ability to leverage each Leo application against the others, providing a suite of options to users.

What do you foresee?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Outside of Hive and Leo, what other crypto's do you hold?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

BTC, LTC, ETH, BEOS, BTS.

We will have to see what happens with the later two, not a ton of optimism at this time.

I also have a good bit of GBTC in a retirement account, increasing my Bitcoin exposure a great deal.

Missed getting into RUNE in the early days like some suggested. 😭😭😭

How can we push to $100 $HIVE ?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The path to $100 HIVE is going to depend upon the implementation of a decentralized smart contract platform that is rather inexpensive to spin up new tokens.

This will also have to be coupled with ProjectBlank as well as @3speak's decentralized video storage.

If we get all those together, I think we can push Hive to $100. All of that will put Hive right in the middle of the industry and the push forward.

We are evolving into a chain that is truly offering a lot on here.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hive's creator reading this comment: "Writing down ideas" hahaha.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well there isnt really a creator anymore. Blocktrades was behind the fork but this is a community chain. A lot of people here adding to the success and forging the path.

This includes you also @theanalystjohn. Each contribution you make is helping us move forward.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thank you colleague. Yes, it is everyone's job to contribute to the growth of the platform. We should create some kind of movement in which we spread Leofinance in the networks.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

There are many ways to bring $100 HIVE.

Let's keep trying and Let's keep building.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes there are many ways to bring Hive to $100 and, for me, it is getting as many words in the comment section to motivate others to engage as possible.

Hopefully that will help others who are new to feel welcome.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's a good idea buddy. Ok, my question is how did you know about cryptocurrencies?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

For most of the past 20 years I followed the progress of technology. Part of what I followed was blockchain and cryptocurrency (well Bitcoin) from the early days. I probably came across Bitcoin in 2011 or 2012 although I did not get involved.

I watched the progress of blockchain over the next half decade before finally getting involved in 2016 or so.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Wow, imagine if you had bought bitcoins as soon as they were created hahahaha. You have a long time in this then buddy. How old are you?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I said to myself I have to buy $500 worth of this (Bitcoin) when I found it. Never did.

Ah well.

51 years old.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I was 13 years old in 2011. I was only thinking about soccer and video games hahahaha.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well I am a bit older than you so I had other things to think about. LOL

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

What are a few places you like using the most for pulling facts and information related to the topics you write about?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Reddit is a great source because it is a linking platform and can provide a lot of great stories especially about technology.

For crypto, coingecko is a powerful tool.

And of course, twitter has a lot of great stuff especially for crypto.

I also have some individual bloggers who I follow for econ..one being Martin Armstrong as mentioned above.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I've asked you most questions I have thought of already. But how about telling me why you do what you do? What is your motivation?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Change the world.

Tokenization is something that is going to change the course of humanity and we all have a part to play in it. This is a numbers game. There needs to be a lot of us to compensate for the resources and power of the centralized established systems.

Thus, I look to do my part to keep pushing things forward. I am a believer that every little pieces adds to the pile. If I can keep building and helping others to do to, it has a compounding effect.

This post here will add more than 50 pages to Leofinance from all the comments. Plus, hopefully someone gets something out of it that keeps them going and growing.

All of it adds up.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

50 pages isn't too shabby. You are right, if we all do a bit everyday we can help reach this future much more quickly than we might think

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Simply keep adding to the site. It gets bigger and more in depth.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Trying my best to add daily!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

How do you write very productively? How do you find ideas and collect data to become an article?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Dedication and no excuses quite frankly. I do not allow myself to slack off.

Ideas are all over the place. I do a lot of research. Someone asked where I look, reddit, coingecko, etc..

There are also a trove of ideas in the comment sections of posts. Often I will see what someone else wrote and expand upon the idea (or tie it to something else).

Having an idea of where technology is going (at least I think I do) really helps also.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Don't burn out!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

  1. Which of the CUB DeFi farms you think will be the most profitable long term?

  2. What do you think BNB's ATH will be this year?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I have a few in farms but most of what I am putting it in is the DEN. This might be a mistake but I think CUB has higher levels so I am protecting that.

I do have a bit in the bLEO-BnB pool.

I think it can hit $500. There should be a lot of money flowing into it.

Hopefully we get HSC and can start to push HIVE in that direction also.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think it can hit $500. There should be a lot of money flowing into it.

It's over $420 already, it's crazy :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Over 600 US$ on Monday April 12th, and around 578 US$ when I read this prediction for the first time. :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

What's the next disruptive technology use that you foresee?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Not sure if it is next but quantum changes everything. I think we will see the impact of that in the next few years, although on a focused scale. The true applications are still a decade away but we will start to get some specific use cases such as drug discovery.

AI will continue to evolve with AGI still being sought but not achieved for a while. So that is more of a progression.

From a societal standpoint, what will be noticed is VR. I think within 5 years that will be like the smartphone in that most people will have one and be using it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

How do you get into crypto sphere? it is incidental or research first?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I got into by following technology and reading about Blockchain (well Bitcoin at that time since it was all that was basically around).

After following it for a number of years, I ended up getting involved with it by purchase.

Since then, I have dedicated myself to it.

What is your process for creating videos/articles here on LeoFinance?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hit record or open the publish screen.

It is really that simple. I have ideas that I want to cover and simply get to it. I dont plan my articles or videos out to the degree they are scripted. I have the basic theme and then just start.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Do you think HIVE would be better off with a linear rewards curve? I personally like LEO, CTP and a few other tribes with a 50/50 rewards no matter when they vote?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes I do and I believe we are going to that in the next hard fork.

I think the biggest advantage is the upvoting of comments is now penalized on Hive. That will no longer be the case.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

How do you decide which posts are appropriate for
@taskmaster4450 vs @taskmaster4450le

What is the significance of the handle taskmaster?
Does the number 4450 mean anything to you?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That number is the old office number Taskmaster worked in. He said in one of the videos as Jongolson asked him the same thing :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The le account came up when Leofinance was first starting over on Steem and it was a pain in the ass to handle it all out of one account. So basically it was set up as a curation account. There was also the problem in the early days of not a lot of content on Leo so I used that account to add to it since it wasnt on any curation trails or things like that.

Over time it just developed into creating content. What posts are appropriate really doesnt matter much since I tend to write about stuff as it relates to crypto, finance, and markets. I rarely put up a post about everyday things that wouldnt fit into Leofinance. Even the few occasions I write about sports, it is in the context of the financial aspect of it all.

But if I decide to take up gardening and post about it, that will go under the taskmaster4450.

The significance of that was I read it in a self help book years ago (I have no idea what book anymore) that was dealing with procrastination. The concept was to think of yourself as one who masters the tasks that need to be accomplished.

As stated below it was simply an office address that I had in the past.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I love this question 😂

I've been wondering if this guy is human tho, two accounts, both managed well, sometimes I don't even know which is which ☹️

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Great question! 😉 !ENGAGE 10

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

What's the roadmap for community shared RC pools? Is that ever coming or is that no longer in the plans?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I do not know. I have not been on the last few developer calls.

There was a post that mentioned it will be in the next hard fork but I cant say for certain. If it is, that will be a major step forward.

Does anyone else now if this is the case?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

if you were a newbie starting on hive and leo right now, with $100 to invest (with all your current knowledge) what would you do with it?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

$50 in Hive to get enough HP to operate without running out of RCs and then $50 in LEO to start a foundation.

Then I would get busy. 75 HP should allow one to comment to one's content and that is what I would do (still do). That is the way to get noticed, get rewards, and get engagement on Leofinance.

If one is able to interact based upon knowledge with crypto and financial matters, that is where I would focus my attention.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

When do you write and record all your posts? I see you put out two posts and two videos a day. How do manage to do that every single day?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I have no job so essentially it is my job.

I write a post first thing in the morning, record two videos back to back, posting at different times and then write a post in the evening.

Throughout the day I am on here.

I also ponder ideas when I am walking and record them on my phone to turn into posts or videos.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I admire your work ethic. Even as someone who does this full time I still struggle to put out two posts each day.

The writing in the morning routine works perfectly. I do that most days when I am not messing up my sleeping pattern

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

IT does take a wrong desire to maintain the work ethic. However, my motivation is that this is helping all of Hive and everyone involved with it.

Leading by example is the best way to follow. I can promote the idea of engagement because that is how I operate on here.

So people can simply watch what I do and model it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

You're spot on. It one thing to say something and do another. I try to lead those who I am onboarding by example. A few are catching up and I am happy about that.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This is so cool @taskmaster4450.

Do you remember missing a day on Hive since it started? Do you even remember since when you did not miss a single day?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Since I got serious, the only time I missed was due to the blockchain being down due to a hard fork. There was one on Steem that went on a for a day or two if I recall.

Outside of that, I dont think there was a day that I didnt put up a post.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thanks for your answer. That level of commitment is commendable man. No wonder you are so popular here. Deserve every bit of it. You are in inspiration. Looking forward to many more wonderful conversations with you. I have some big plans to execute in the future in terms of content creation on Leo Finance & Hive, interacting with you has been so motivating.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I have some big plans to execute in the future in terms of content creation on Leo Finance & Hive, interacting with you has been so motivating.

I am glad I could inspire you. That is all I can do. Hopefully we can turn us two into dozens.

That is how we will have growth over time.

It sucks having to go one person at a tine but hey, if you replicate some of what I do, then there are two of us going at it. Then we just need to add a third.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

What's the first thing you look out for before investing in a project?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

What is going on with the development? If that is not there, the project doesnt have a lot of chance to succeed.

Thus, we need to look at who is involved. Can they develop themselves or do they have the resource to fund it?

If the answer is not to both of them, then it will be a tough road ahead.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

What are your thoughts on Theta, if any?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I am not familiar with it at all so can't comment.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

  1. Which will hit 10$ first ?
    • Hive or Leo ?
  2. Which other tribe do you see potential in other than Leo ?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

LEO since it has a tighter float.

There are a few that have some potential. CTP can do some things if they get their own website out. The music one has a strong team it seems. Cinetv, since I have some insight into that, holds great potential if some coding gets done (which is being pursued).

Outside of that, I am not too familiar with the activities of other projects.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

How do you do to write that much?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Answered above.

Basically commitment (and no job).

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

No job is the most important step I think haha.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

what time is it? :)

945 AM my time.

It might be different where you are though.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Shill me your favorite alt. :) Just kidding. Oh crap, I had to edit this because I didn't ask a crypto related question. Are you going to buy Coinbase stock?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

No I am not, at least not in the beginning.

Coinbase could be a great way to play crypto without playing it directly. However, I tend not to get involved with IPO since they are too volatile.

I am happy with Tesla and GBTC for my stock market plays for the moment. An ETF for Bitcoin will actually be more attractive to me than Coinbase.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Those are some great points. As the expected price creeps higher and higher towards that $500 point, I am thinking that it might be smarter just to wait anyway. With my budget I would only be able to buy about two shares, so I might be better off just using the $600 to $800 I was expecting to spend on Hive, LEO, or CUB.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

There is no way to tell. I am going to avoid it but it could end up skyrocketing.

Hopefully you make bank off it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think I am going to hold off as well. That price point is just too high for me.

what are defi liquidity pools

@taskmaster4450le

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It is a way to trade/swap different tokens. Instead of their being a market maker, we see individuals putting up tokens into a pool.

For example, on CubFinance, I put bLEO and BNB into a liquidity pool. So did other people. Thus, when someone goes to trade BNB for bLEO (or the other way around), there is liquidity there for them to make the transaction.

Essentially it ensures there are tokens available when people want them.
