Trumpman's Treasury #10 - Collection of Greek Ancient Coins

in LeoFinance4 years ago (edited)

What? Did you expect a collection of real ancient greek coins? Nahhhhhhh... Possession of such would be illegal in my country and I certainly wouldn't advertise it on the internet ;) The coins depicted above are actually replicas of the real deal. Still, it doesn't mean they are totally worthless!

After all, two of the coins are made of 0.950 silver:

(euro coin for comparison)

And four of them are gold plated... Although I wouldn't bet the plating is very thick :p

The name of the collection is "Η Αθάνατη Συλλογή - Ελλήνων Νομίσματα" which translates to "The Immortal Collection - Greek Coins" and they were available in the Greek Market by the "Πάπυρος" publishing house.

I say were, because I couldn't find much info about them on the internet, so I guess they are no longer available. I also have no idea how much they are worth today, although some similar items seem to go for about 50 euros. As for the original price... again no idea! They were a gift by a good old friend and you never ask a gift's price! If anyone knows more or can help me dig some more info about them, I would really appreciate it!!!

Anyways...  It's a nice beautiful coin exhibit with a bit of silver and a bit of gold! And lot's of Greek History! I like it!

Here are two more photos of the whole package, with the papers and everything. The pen is not part of the package of course. It's just there to hide my name and serial number, as it's supposedly a limited set of 1450 pieces . And yeah, it's gold plated too, haha!

Photo's by me, not free for reuse. Please contact me first. Or just be an asshole and steal them anyways.  Posted Using LeoFinance

I did not know that you can't have any ancient Greek coin. Let's suppose that I move to Greece and take my collection of ancient Greek coins with me. Will the government apprehend my collection?
