Hello to all of Hive! (Yes! You! & You! & You too!) 😆
The time has come... It's been just over 1 whole year since we did what we had to do! Band together and exit the old to make way for the new!
Together we showed the world why COMMUNITY mattered and what a group of people passionate about building a DECENTRALIZED blockchain could do! Social Capital trumped Financial Capital! (Something that just doesn't happen in the world we find ourselves today...)
This is when the Hive story (our story!) began... and it was a good one let me tell you!
But now we are here in the now... And we have work to do if we want to continue writing this story!
Innovating the future of digital freedom isn't free... There is a cost be it time spent building social capital or money spent building financial capital! (Or both! Both is certainly better!)
Where's the absolute BEST place to do that?
Let's talk about that! 😄
If you have a Hive account then you probably already know this but let's see if we can #LevelUP and dig a little deeper into why Hive matters... inside the city walls AND outside the city walls!
INSIDE
1️⃣ There's what's happening on Hive to make it a better place... and YES! We gotta keep on improving the inner workings of this blockchain, strengthening the community by doing #DoubleUP's and #TeamUP's, not to mention we need to continue to build out our own dreams and ideas too!
Working examples of what we can do is GREAT because it shows (in real time!) what the Hive Blockchain makes possible! If it can be done better on Hive then the world will continue to beat a path to our door!
OUTSIDE
2️⃣ Then there's what's happening outside of Hive! The reason why we are building Hive in the first place... That old world we left behind and probably don't want to think about right!?
I sure didn't... But it wasn't until I gave what @nathanmars was doing some serious thought that I truly did a #LevelUP on my thinking. I realized how important it was for us to continue to make an effort to tell people far and wide about the opportunity on Hive... It's an opportunity to #SpeakUP and tell people to #JoinUP!
And let's get REAL here! These are really really COOL people! And they just don't know how COOL Hive is! They're strangers on the outside...
But we all used to be as well! (Remember those days?! Ouch! ) But we were brave... We forged ahead when everyone else wasn't looking. We overcame our fear of the unknown and did something revolutionary! We stood up and exited Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (even yes!), etc for a future we could all believe in. Something better right!?
So who are all these people on the outside of Hive anyways?
They are you... They are me... and together they are we!
That's the mantra that's always propelled me forward when it was just easier to sit on my hands and wait... wait for what?! Wait for good things to happen! That's what!
So it's better not to wait...
When people come together that's when good things can happen! Being open opens up a whole new world of opportunity... for EVERYBODY!
So that's what I wanted to talk to you all about today!
Let's #DoubleUP, #TeamUP, #PowerUP, and #LevelUP together on Hive AND Twitter so that all these AMAZINGLY COOL people can #JoinUP and take FULL advantage of the Hive OPPORTUNITY!

I'm supporting the proposal. I do think we need to look beyond 'crypto Twitter'. We need creative people who will create content that a wider audience will enjoy.

Nope! In fact... We are being celebrated on Twitter!
Besides all that... I realized that I didn't care if I lost my Twitter account. What mattered was telling everybody about Hive! And I still feel that way even after Paris Hilton followed my Twitter account. I'm one of 11K people she follows... and there are over 17 Million who follow her Twitter account.
It doesn't matter. I'm not trying to build on Twitter other than to tell people about Hive. Twitter is not the destination... Hive is. Getting the horse before the cart is important... Twitter is the horse and Hive is the vehicle that is going to transport us into the future... not the other way around.
So I proceed with nothing to loose.
