It's been a while, but it still appears frequently on the most remembered small screen car lists. With a very appropriate aesthetic, he was almost the third protagonist of the mythical series of the seventies, which recounted the adventures of Agents Starsky and Hutch. I'm talking about the '75 Ford Torino with two-color paint.

Would you like to know more about it?

The Ford Torino was manufactured between 1968 and 1976 with engines between 302 and 427 hp. The model featured in the series of spectacular car chases through the streets of Bay City is the 1975, 6.6-liter, 400-hp model. Needless to say, the car had some dings and scratches after filming each episode, the car was impressive enough already, but they decided to add some finishing touches that would make a difference as if it were makeup for that screen, a decision was made. for a "tomato" red body (in the series itself, the vehicle is called "Great Red Tomato") and a white stripe was attached to the sides. But that was not all: rear tires larger than standard tires (to achieve a single camber) and 15-inch aluminum rims were also installed. It also contained adjustable gas shocks. In short, everything you need for the scenes in which he was the true protagonist: the car chases.

The series achieved great popularity and we do not know if it was thanks to the Ford Torino or if the car itself benefited from this success. Everyone wanted to drive Agent Starsky and Hutch's car.!Although technically, if you don't know, the car belonged to Starsky... Hutch had another vehicle that was barely featured in the series, which was a more low-key Ford Galaxy.

With so much action and chase, poor Ford Torino would end up with sequels pretty much every time it was filmed... even though the audience didn't notice because he looked flawless every time he appeared. And so such a fellow fatigue deserves no less

I thought I replied to this post the other day. I had a little matchbox-sized car of this when I was young. I didn't realise where the car was from at the time. Thank you :)
