[WE:127]: "A Weekend in Paradise"

png_20221111_185253_0000.png

The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it. Resist it, and your soul grows sick with longing for the things it has forbidden to itself, with desire for what its monstrous laws have made monstrous and unlawful.

-Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray.

This week in the #weekend-engagement community, I'm going full on bare back. My choice is "the naked weekend" . So sit back and relax while learning about my antics being in a deserted island naked where I could bring other three people. I'm going to twist this to make up to three other people.

Having said this, I'm going into a full poetic mode on this one, sorry G-dog. I know you don't like poetry, but that's the only way this going to work for me. Also, take this sort of poem with a grain of salt. It is fiction (or not...)

I

The night sleeps.
You aren't mine.
And I'm free.
Desire leads.

What's worse?
Deed done
Or imagined?

Does it matter?

Nature as witness,
The waves, soothing chant.
Wind caresses
the suit of your birth.
I'll be next.

No eyes.
No ears.
No schedules
in here.

Time in essence.

II

Sand, wind, waters and sounds
present found us
shadows merged
under palms.

Sweat and moans
words and tongues
depletion has come.
Exhaustion was bound.

Regrets come any?
With a deed
on this stage,
would you rather go back
or with me stay?

You go walking
your curves swaying
in harmonic glamour.

A flip, one look, and a smirk,
invitation received.
All of me follows
your footprints
to the beach.

III

The deed continues
in different places,
a cycle of wetness
and (almost) dryness
in land.

Trees casting their shadows
tell us of time.

The night soon will its eyes.

Dread sinks in feeling
as we come once again.
Will this be pleasant
or momentary regret?

Who's the novelty
bound for oblivion?

IV

We shall leave
minds weary
bodies tired.

Deeds will remain,
And a piece of both

With eyes to the sea
the night finally awakes.
And we'll be moved
back to each one's place.

The weekend ends,

reminiscences etched
on flesh and mind
like Adam and Eve
longing for paradise.

This is what I would do during a naked weekend on a desert island with someone who drives me crazy. I hope the images are evocative enough to make any of you who read my poetry feel something.

There some some hidden things among the verses that I'd like to be discovered and mentioned in the comments. I had a lot of fun writing this for the #initiative.

Don't forget share your thoughts and opinions in down in the comments. I haven't been writing too much poetry lately, but that could change. Of course, I won't publisb them here unless I have a really good reason to make use of this form of speech.

Or not...!?

I love this, I don't think I've ever read any of your poetry before and well, I loved it, it was an interesting choice in tackling this topic, but I think it was perfect, it's beautiful and hot at the same time. If someone reads this and doesn't feel something I think they died and don't know it hahahaha.

And well, on the subject of the initiative I can think of many things, but really there is nothing better to do on a desert island that is not precisely what you have described, the only bad thing would be to say goodbye to a weekend like this, how could anyone say goodbye to something so amazing?

Pd: I've always loved that quote ❤️🔥.

Now, this is a comment I can support completely. I haven't been writing poetry for quite some time. The prompt and other things triggered the idea. Glad you like and that the poem fulfilled its purpose of being openly suggestive.

Ha, ha, ha, ha. Omae wa mo shinderu. For all those who do not feel anything by reading this.

And yes, parting after going through this kind of experience would be dreadful. Like a total invitation to go for a swim carrying a boulder.

PD. That quote is just so damn good! ❤️🔥

Thank you for sharing something so beautiful, the only thing I can add is that I would like to read a lot more of your poetry ❤️ 😍😘🔥

Thanks a lot! ✨🤗🥰

I'll see what I can do about this particular kind of content.

❤️🔥😘

🥰✨❤️

I see... someone got inspired just by the mention of The League :D

🙌

Ha, ha, ha, ha. Among many other things. 😂

I was thinking back over the last 52 years of my life but can't remember saying, I don't like poetry.

Just messing around since those comments @mipiano and I got into way back on the desert island theme back when #weekend-engagement was about comment on a post.

I remember that post. Seems like so long ago.

I think the initiative wasn't even close to 100 entries.

Yeah, a long time ago indeed...Sometimes I think about stopping you know, week 127 this weekend, but I keep going because I think a few find some value in it.

There's a lot of value in theses prompts. I like them sometimes I don't know what to post; others, I figure it out. It's always a lot of fun!

Fun is the focus.

I have never read one of your poems before. I should say I loved it. It overflows with a lot of passion. I would definitely rather be on a desert island with my boyfriend jajsjs. I would be well entertained and content hahahaha.

It was very creative of you to make your entry with a poem. Shark mind 😅❤️

Ha, ha, ha, ha. Always keeping an eye on the content. That's how it goes!

And thanks. They topic got into my mind as an idea that was growing and growing in my mind. Finally, it came out this way and with some editing it became a poem.

It's good to know I'm not the I only one thinking the setting is perfect to get a little but kinky. 🤣

I think our conversations in the telegram group have influenced the creation of this post.
Don't let Rosa see it... hahaha
Although I confess I liked the vision, but I would not materialize it, not in the sand... hahaha

Ha, ha, ha, ha. Any reading is allowed. Don't know about he Rosa thing. 🤣

Not materialized on the sand? Where's your sense of adventure? 🤣

At least in a tent, right?
Imagine that sand enters where it shouldn't!

So what? That's part of the experience. Besides there's more places to go in a island than the beach. Be creative! 🤣

Don't ask me to get creative, you know I can fly...
I hope the SIA doesn't come back for my house

The idea is to let imagination fly. Not about posting it here. 🤣
