RE: Weekend-engagement week 65: Confessions week

Shit I like that purple thread story. I put my socks and shoes on in ORDER every time. Goes back to the day I went 4 for 4 in a High School baseball game and I could clearly remember that I put my left sock on first. I still do.

I always get on my motorcycle from the left. That goes back to my childhood days and horses. You ALWAYS get on from the left. You will notice that in cowboy and indian movies that all the natives get on from the left too. The horse doesn't care, and it's unlikely that native people did so. BUT ANYBODY THAT LEARNS TO RIDE NOW MOUNTS FROM THE LEFT. Goes back a couple thousand years to the Romans to what I know.

I actually do quite a few things the same way every time. It's not that I'm superstitious, but if it works don't fix it.

Sort:

Superstitions or habits can be powerful things right?

I actually knew that thing with the mount from the left thing. I did the same when I rode, on motorbikes and even when I raced go-karts. Left side.

I hope you've been well mate. Thanks for your continued support. Means a lot.

Some people call it inside out. I call it right side in. It's how I wear my socks, Tom.

You just reminded me. I might conceivably have on possible small quirk. Teensy really.

I don't care if my socks are inside out or right side in, long as both are the same. I have big feet in a small feet world and so I turn my socks other side out every time I take them off. So when I launder them I don't even try to turn them. I match them carefully but don't even bother a bit with right side either way :)

I think we might have a guy right here on this thread that doesn't match his socks, just puts on any two every day. @wwwiebe I know for an absolute fact that he takes pictures of fire hydrants and man hole covers, sometimes he doesn't even use a camera.

..man hole covers

I didn't know we could still say that in 2021.

Thank you. Man I just saw a picture of a snake and really needed that laugh.

lol. Taking pictures of fire hydrants is not a quirk, it's a way of life!

And yeah, guilty about the socks. As long as my feet are covered I'm content.
