It's time to announce the winners of the BAE posting contest being run in THE WEEKEND community by myself, @galenkp and @edenmichelle. Thank you to those who entered, the posts were all very good and it was difficult to judge and find winners. original im src
The contest was run to celebrate the latest single released by South African artist EGGSTA who is hive's own @edenmichelle. Her song is called BAE and you can find it here on YouTube and Spotify. It's a smooth, funky and uplifting song featuring fellow South African, Lee Cole - Give it a listen if you can.

The prize pool of 150 165 hive is funded by @edenmichelle (EGGSTA), @tarazkp and @galenkp and has been split, and transferred to the winners as follows:
First: 50 / Second: 30 / Third: 20 / Special mention: 15

It was a great effort and with over 40 entries very difficult to judge to find those mentioned in this post. Not everyone can win, but all those who took the time and initiative to enter are all winners for sure.
@galenkp You are right when you say that all participants are winners, I really enjoyed remembering how my husband and I started, it was as if we were renewing vows.

You are so right - everyone is a winner. But thank you for your time and effort and for showcasing some of Eden's older material. Not sure if she's told you but she was put on the Top 40 last week on KZN which is one of the biggest radio stations in SAfrica - and started last week on #37 and this past Saturday jumped up 6 places to #31 - so proud of her - with International stars. Justin Bieber is #1 on this Top 40

I surely will. I was wondering who would win this competition as there were so many entries. Now I will jump into the winning enteries and would see what they have told about their bae.
It was a competition that refreshed the memories. While writing about my father, several events passed by my eyes. I wrote only a few but many kept on revolving in my mind.
It was very difficult to judge as all the entries were good in their own way, personal stories of love and affection and all unique. It was very difficult. I think I need to make someone else the judge on the next one. 😀
