Awesome! I absolutely get that too, my search history is a billion searches looking up that lyric I can never quite catch, I must know, it's a compulsion. I have often wondered how much information my head could hold if not for the 672,523 complete songs stored there...
I could be a bleeding brain surgeon and a nuclear physicist part time, but I would never swap them, each of them is like an old friend who makes my life a little more complete. (I even love chatting about music lol)
OMG YES! I always do this haha. I thought it was a bit weird, but I even do it for songs in another language if I MUST sing them along. That was a beautiful song choice with a lot of emotion tied in to it for a man who was clearly very special. I love the way you let the emotion free. Don't ever be afraid to let the tears flow, sometimes it really helps.
In many ways it may feel bittersweet when you hear the song as there is clearly a lot of pain wrapped up within it, but whenever you hear it you think of someone very dear you had in your life, that's also a cool thing because such times are when some of the warmest memories flood back to our minds eye.
You sound like a warm, thoughtful person, I am sure you are a constant source of pride to him and of course he lives on in every good action you take.
