weekend-engagement 68.png

There are always two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer.

Ansel Adams

This week I wanted to roll out something super-easy that everyone can get involved with. There's not much to it so take a look at the topic below for how to get involved.

The #weekend-engagement concept is simple; respond to the topic in the comments below then stay around and engage with others - On Monday 27th September I'll split some hive between a few who respond to the topic in the comments below.

Weekend-engagement topic week 68

➡️ Option one: Drop a phone photo & tell us about it

It doesn't matter what the photo is as long as it's taken with your phone and you explain the moment, the subject of the photo or why you decided upon that particular one. You can post holidays, people, food, hobbies, nature, animals, scenery, architecture, automobiles, your weekend exploits, selfies...It's your choice. Make sure the photo is yours though and that you explain it or tell us about it in the comments below.

➡️ Option two: Make a meme of a photo you took

I don't care what the meme is, but funny ones will clearly be better. Take one of your photos and make a meme of it and drop it below.

❌ Don't drop links to external posts
❌ No stock images - Your own only
✅ Answer in the comments below
✅ Be creative and have some fun
✅ Engage below in the comments

Read this bit so you know what to do.

⬆️ - ⬆️ - ⬆️ - ⬆️ - ⬆️

That's the topic folks; you have until Sunday night to get your response into the comments below and I hope you'll stay around and get friendly with some of the others who participate as it'll be good to see you around over the weekend. Have a great weekend whether you engage or not though - Life's too short not to.

Now a shameless promotion for my...

...coming to a community near you

Design and create your ideal life, don't live it by default - Tomorrow isn't promised so be humble and kind

Most times it feels like all is going to be fine, but none is actually holding up as expected. The story behind this picture has to do with the uncertainties making up the theory of my life. One second everything is fine, the next all is going downwards. The more I fight the harder it gets, yet I believe all is going to turn out good. This is just me staring at life pushing me as hard as it can.

AirBrush_20210911183811.jpg

It's a good photo.

Keep on grinding. The world does...

Nice photo, believe and work hard and life will be good 💪

I believe. Thanks 🙂

I think it is great that you are optimistic. That is something I struggle with. However, one thing I have observed as universal is that every person has some plans in life which are in some way thwarted, and most people feel like they are unique or unusual in this experience. I think the reason is we are often afraid to openly discuss our failures and missteps.

People like to share their successes with others, not just to be boastful, but because it is positive news. Discussing failure can be awkward, so even people who are ordinarily open books are hesitant to do it. Many of us are left with this sense that if we are not happy or have not met our goals, we are defective in some way.

There is a quote by Thich Nhat Hanh, Buddhist Monk, about trees:
"An oak tree is an oak tree. That is all it has to do. If an oak tree is less than an oak tree, then we are all in trouble."

His point is, I think, that we put so much pressure on ourselves when, really, we are already being ourselves and living our lives, which is all we were actually born to do.

Totally true. I just hope we can at least get few of what we want. Half bread is better than none.

That's a good way of looking at things.

Life is quite uncertain indeed. We like to think we're in control but life often has other ideas. I guess one thing we can truly control is our attitude and it's attitude that helps us design and create the life we would like to have...So, it all seems to work out, in that way at least.

Thanks for joining in this week.

All your perceptions are correct without a doubt, best is just to let life happen on its own.

Thanks for the welcome 🙏🏻❤️

Nice dude, I'm glad you took me up on my offer. This is a good place to look around and drop lines getting to know new people.

Welcome to Hive. And welcome to The Weekend.

What I'm about to explain will sound foreign but your resource credits are low, they're required in order to continue engaging. Think of them as "fuel" and your tank is near 20%. If you haven't learned already, near 5% will prevent any engaging at all—empty.

Engagement like yours is what this platform's all about, tell all your friends. I'm going to delegate some of my HP to you now which will also increase your resource credits so you can continue enjoying yourself this weekend but it will expire in 7 days. By then, your Introduction post will have paid you and you'll have the opportunity to "power up 100%."

Welcome! You're now at 80%. 👊🏼

@dandays That is awesome of you. It can be hard to navigate Hive. It is great to see people showing such community.

My pleasure. I like to say I don't know everything but I'll teach you everything I know. This place can be confusing, I've been here over 4 years and still learn shit every week.

You found this community, good one. Anyone with a cat profile pic should probably be introduced to @krazzytrukker.

Krazzy, Harlow. Harlow, Krazzy.

Ight fellas, I gotta go save the world now.

LoL...

Nice to meet you @harlowjourney

I see you have already met @dandays

Thanks so much. I really appreciate this ❤️🙏🏻

4th day on the chain and dude's an engaging vet.

He must have got a good tutor.
2years on the chain and I have been missing out of this fun.
Its better than surfing any social media

Sorry it took so long, I need to get my eyes checked. Glad you found the joint Monica-Ene.

Thank you. I need to check out more happy niches and engage here properly.
Hope you had a great weekend?.

So great it should be illegal that's all. 💖

Took me a while to find it too. Thanks to Merit for mentioning it on her post.

Hope things work out fine, world has gone a bit crazy, keep a positive attitude!

Nice photography to remember the moment!

Yeah, I keep believing everything would turn out fine. Thanks 🙂

No way of knowing what tomorrow will bring, enjoy today!

First of all, you're so handsome and I love the filter you used... But wait, is that how you look at life? Looking all handsome? 🤣

I can't agree more with you about life giving one hard stuffs to go through but we go through them in the end... That's the victory

Your compliments got me blushing quite alright 😊. Victory is surely the light at the end of life's tunnel.

Ahaaa it's okay to blush 😊 and let's keep winning

This is quite an hairy Nigerian Yoruba man here. The curly hair indeed is a food attraction. Happy weekend dude.

Thanks very much. Happy weekend to you too

😂😂 to be best of my knowledge, most Yoruba men are quite hairy

For where? Have you taken a close look at Igbo men?

Yes o, most Igbo men don't have as much as the Yoruba, Igbo men beards don't even connect!

Jisos!! See as you finish Igbo men with your description. Chaii

😂😂 I'm only being fair, I've seen enough of them to know they rarely grow facial hair

I'm not sure life ever really gets easier, I think we just grow accustomed to it. For me as I aged it was all about change, I never really let change bother me, change is constant in life.Keep pushing it builds the life muscles up so you can more easily deal with the changes you encounter along the road of life.

Thanks for this piece of advise. I appreciate

yes, that's life and all we need is to bounce back and keep on fighting.

Most definitely, until winning is achieved.

Hmmm, I can relate. To me good times don't last and so does the bad ones.
On good days am my best and enjoy the times and on bad days I resolved not to feel bad but reminiscence the good old days and pray they return so... This was hard to achieve after long series of trials.

I wish you more better days.

Thanks ma'am 🙂

I like your positive attitude. I believe you will get stronger and stronger. Just think like only excellent students get the chance to solve the difficult math. All the best

Thanks so much 🙂

Black and white is good. Keep up your good work here and see the outcome.

I will. Thanks 🙂

Hey @temitopemichael, here is a little bit of BEER from @olivia08 for you. Enjoy it!

It always gets better. Life is full of different ups and downs but somehow we overcome it all.

Nice picture by the way ❤️

Definitely... Thanks 🙂

That is a good photo. It really looks like you warning life to back off and be prepared. Nice.

...and I actually wish it'd just let me be to fulfill my dreams 😄😄😄

Isn't it relatable?

img_0.7238946418891145.jpg
Ps: That's me in the picture btw 😁

ahahaha, that's the hilarious reaction you had there after knowing the truth. Nice one. lol

Thanks 😂 I often do that

Only a man with your class and style could get away with wearing golden shoes! they must be worth a fortune.

I reckon you're saying, haha, you have Nike's? They're ok, but I have GOLDEN SHOES Y'ALL!

😂 😂 I think I broke a rib laughing to this... He's surely worth a fortune even without the shoe - like Peshawari chappal 🤣🤣

One can't wear standard Peshawari chappal's when one is the Lord of the Peshawari chappal's like Abrarhussain. One needs the top of the range golden Peshawari chappal's. Nothing short of the best will suffice.

😂 Oh my! Is he reading this? He has to @abrarhussain come read it, I think it's for you

He's probably somewhere showing off his golden Peshawari chappal's around town making all the fella's jealous.

Man 🤣 you're literally at your best right now 🤣 this made me rolling too

Ahaaa I can imagine

It isn't for me it's for these classy chappals 🤣

But why do I still think it's for you? 🙄

This one had me laughing 🤣
Hilarious 😆😂

By the way these are called Peshawari chappal and these are not shoes. Putting on shoes on shalwar kameez (cultural dress) goes out of style for me. This is how they look

Abrarhussain: The man with golden Peshawari chappal's.

Doesn't quite have the same rign though. Maybe if we call it the golden PC's...?

Golden PC's! That's a much better sound to it

Rollin, in my Golden PC's, Abrarhussain-style, says all the cool cats out there rockin' the Golden PC's.

These PCs look that good? 🤣

Simply put, this shoe is called Abdul Canoe. Some funny pictures flying around today.

This thread is so cool and I did not know what these were called or that you could get them in such a stylish colour. Pretty cool :)

😂😂😂😂😂😂

Gosh, your comment cracked me up..... Truly, he has the golden shoes, no one should mess around with him 😂😂😂

I know right? One messes with the golden shoed one at one's peril.

Sure thing 😂😂

Oh, God. This should be an exciting thread if this is the first comment. I literally laughed out loud.

Nicely played G Dog

I was in a dumb mood...Figured golden shoes were a good thing to latch onto and have some fun. :)

It works for me! A great start to the weekend engagement thread.

Yeah, there's been some funny comments this week so far.

Hahaha. That's why he's grinning!

Lol. Indeed.

🤣 A great photo which can say so much! I like it a lot, @abrarhussain, and also hope it matches the context rules because I want to wish you to succeed in it.

Aww that's so kind of you 😍🥺

The smile though. You look happy.

We all are supposed to be happier, this is what life is all about 😁❤️

Yeah. It's food to see that you are playing your role among those who are happy. Well done. I am happy too. That's all that matter in life.

Oh my! You're so handsome and I can so relate with what that face you made.. Sometimes I do that do and I know when someone thinks I'm lying

You're so funny 😂 I had to look at the picture again, nice one

Thank you for the compliment
Weird reactions are often natural 🤣

Yeah, very natural sometimes... We just find ourselves reacting weirdly 🤣

Oh man, so funny. 😂😂😂
You can't be good at acting with that. Those people are damn good and can fake anything you won't even suspect. I respect that about them.

I totally agree but experience can make us understand who to trust and who not to.

Exactly 👍

Nice one! It's a great photo of you as well. You look very happy.

Everyone is supposed to be happy my dear

Very true

Damn, what a handsome man you are. Your meme really goes with the picture.

Thanks a bunch 😊 ❤️ I am glad you found it relatable

You are able to accept the lies with good cheer. It says a lot about your resilience in my opinion. I really don't like liars!

No one likes liars but when you already know the truth, it becomes absurd looking at the liar

I think you have the right attitude towards this. I get very sensitive and upset sometimes. It is something I am working on.

You literally need to work on it mate because almost everyone around us is a liar 🤥

You're probably right, but how depressing!

Yh, that kinda smile or laugh.
I certainly can really.
This happens to me a lot especially the times that I don't have the strength to argue, I just allow the deceiver to keep deceiving themselves.

I do the same 😁

The shoes for me... 👍🏻❤️

😁😁

Really nice pair you got there ❤️🙂.

Love your reaction and the gesture of your left hand is just so right

It's a handsome bugger, obviously a foot model for the shoes. (Yes I read some of the previous comments.

Thanks for the photo and the good humor.

Spinning a yarn, yup!

If it was me I will know what you are thinking about because when someone shine teeth than expected, they' is always something behind it

😂😂 very relatable. Most times I just sit there, smile and let them make a fool of themselves and to make it more interesting I add a few points to keep them talking.

I really love pictures of people that look genuinely happy. Love it! And that's the truth!

When I think UFO is real and It is coming to pick me up. Wait It is real, right?
img_2595.jpg

I often wonder at times if Aliens did show up and offer to take Humans to other worlds other places, would I stand in line to go, or would I just say no, and continue to enjoy Earth as my home, and perhaps a bit less crowded after so many would want to leave,

I think it might depend on who they take first! If they took a bunch of dogs and few humans, I'd really want to be with them. Dogs are awesome.

I wonder how empty Earth would become if they did stop by. I would also be wondering why do they want people to leave Earth do they want it for themselves?

Maybe they just want to put us into a zoo.

If that day will come, I would like to think it's as an opportunity to explore new places. It would be similar with my situation now as my hometown is in a small village in Vietnam and I am living in the capital of New Zealand at the moment. If 5 years ago, I didn't made a decision to go abroad, I wouldn't have a chance to see this beautiful place.

It would be a hard call that is for sure, even though on Earth I have never been one to sit still in one place to long, I still think I would stay behind.

Is that you halo?

Top of the morning to you, looks like you have had a good walk.

Oh you are right. I haven't thought about that :)

Once in a lifetime 😇

hahaha sorry but I don't believe but all of us are free to believe what we want to. By the way, I love your image, the sky is so clear.

Thank you :) I was day-dreaming at that time so I want to dream big. Exploring the universe, would be so cool

Dora phone home? Hope you didn't get picked up and abducted to an alien planet....

Hahaha your comment made me laugh so hard. I just wanted to visit them, get some photos so I can share with our Hivers then get back to earth. Simple request but they didn't approve.

Hahaa that's a great idea ...I hope that will happen Dorababy and I'm sure all Hivers will love to see the photos of Aliens and you. But please remember to go back to Earth ok :)

Thanks girl, imagine one day we can travel between planets like we are doing between vietnam and New Zealand. That would be awesome.

Haha those aliens must really like their privacy...

pick me up too, please!

I love this photo. You look so happy and energetic. Your imagination is awesome.

I think aliens would find us terrifying. However, maybe not. If they were T-Rex aliens, maybe we would find them terrifying?

Thank you for your nice comment.

Yes you are righ. They could be in any forms, could be scary for us all.

😂 Keep thinking dear, anything can happen. But how am about signifying me in case it really comes 🤣 I would like to join you but I can take that posture yet

Thank you. That's what I believe too :) if that day comes, let's go together and we can share our experience with our Hive community.

Ahaa that's it, we would show Hive what an adventure we had 😊

Yay!!!!!

Everyone is so optimistic, assuming a safe return trip. I would hope there would be one, but you never know. That's why I usually recommend to people that when they are offered a ride by a UFO, ask many questions prior to agreeing.

That's a good point. I am not able to see how we will communicate with them though. Body language won't work if they are not in our form.

I will gladly join the movement when the UFO appears. Don't forget to reach out to me.

I sure will :)

Smile... UFO is coming just wait there🤔

I am still smiling...

Haha, this is a great snap! Where is this place? It looks a little like New Zealand to me.

Thanks @galenkp. Yes it was taken on my way to Mt Cook, Canterbury, New Zealand.

Ah ha! I picked it well then.

Haha well spotted :)

I think the biggest clue was the the huge number of UFO's in New Zealand. That is a well known fact. (Joke. Based on the UFO cloud, I thought it must be Canada -- my country. We are secretly not from this planet. I feel safe divulging this here.)

Not from this planet.

I head that about Canadians. You just confirmed it. ✅

It's why we are rumoured to be polite. Being super polite distracts people from the inconsistencies.

I never really think of us as polite, but I was in Florida with some friends at a karaoke bar (this sounds like the beginning of a bad joke). One of my friends apologized needlessly to a stranger for something or other and the karaoke DJ said, "What are you, Canadian or something?" We just looked at each other and laughed. As extraterrestrials do.

Were you showing it where to park? Just wonderin'

Hahaha Actually No. I thought it is going to abduct me so I prepared to get in LOL

What a beautiful place. Thank you fir sharing

OMG! I hope you don't get probed! But maybe you'll end up somewhere with more intelligence than we have here!

Just a funny little photo of a slightly jealous teddy bear trying to be part of Lory & my early morning hand holding.

It ended with tickles, giggles and Lory having breakfast in bed with her tiny teddy friend. It was a good day.

IMG_20210920_032446.jpg

Aww what a cool photo this is! Little teddy bear trying to get into the action. It's a nice intimate little moment between mother and daughter though. Really nice snap Andy.

Thanks Galen. I occasionally manage to snap these little sentimental moments. I'm a softy like that lol.

It's a nice little picture indeed. Ya big softy.

Oh that's a lovely picture, teddy is so jealous... I can feel it, just give teddy a hand, would you? 🥺

Lol Teddy was so funny, he did get some love though and got to share breakfast :)

Now that is nice to know

What a touching photo! Probably the winner so far!

Thanks BigTom, I think Lory and Teddy will be very pleased to hear you like it.

Little teddy is feeling like a member of the family and should be considered in the early morning hand holding.

This is true. I believe that he will be from now on :)

What a nice way to start the day.

wait? what's with the finger? lol
It will be a good meme for sure.

That sounds like a great day! And good to meat other teddy lovers here!

Nice to see you here and have a nice day.

This is about the sweetest picture I think I may have ever seen.

Thanks @wwwiebe, appreciate that. It was a great moment, I'm very happy I got it on camera :)

Not one to take many photographs on a cellphone, deep dig into archives and found some!

For tantalizing fun, why did I take them... who the shit knows!

IMG_20151108_112220.jpg

Image0082.jpg

Nothing fancy, no touch ups, as it was off the old Innjoo Cellphone... destination unknown 😁

Oh no, that second toilet might cause some issues for those dumb enough to take a seat.

Could add to the fun after 'gold shoes', 'advertising', 'halo's' and all kinda of things perhaps not so handy after eating raw plantains either....

Fit for a King

😂 Eating raw plantain? I hope that wasn't in anyway relating to me 🤣🤣 you're so funny.

I'll want to meet that king any way

untitled.gif

Smile... Even the king would be confused of what you did

 3 years ago (edited)

Fit for a king. He'd only want to sit once I'd say. 🤪

😂 😂 😂 My rib is breaking from laughter, who did this? What's the main plan of the person doing this? I'm suspecting something funny here

The whole truth, nothing but the truth....

Two homes one is the brother the other a sister, guess which one belongs where 🤣 must run in the family!

😂 The brother home?

😄☑️

😂 The brother home?

The second toilet do not need a guest🙈

Inviting outdoor privvy 😃

The best part of reading these comments is that everyone seemed to totally glance over the Poison Gas sign which is completely at odds with the doily covered loo lid. This totally got me in the giggles.

It's wicked what happens indoors, that "privacy" of the home.

I found that hilarious also!

I pity the fool who tries to use number two picture. But there are dumb asses everywhere int he world.

Rise to the occasion....

I'm wondering as well because it's not a good view but perhaps a good reminder. lol

Second one has an extremely good view down the hill....

Ahahahahahahaha. I love it!

I made a planter of a toilet my folks replaced when I first moved down here. I put it in THEIR yard and had wonderful petunia and pansy and marigolds all winter. Once it had finished and was retired for the summer in mysteriously disappeared. It just mortified my parents to have a toilet in their yard...

Very decorative, long lasting, good recycling why send it to the toilet graveyard? 😁 Must have brought a smile to their faces for a short while....

This can be some good ideas for a valuable use of damaged properties instead of having then litter around.

Everything can be offered a second life.... except us!

Exactly, and just imagine that👌

This is my kind of toilet humour! I love the idea of using a toilet as a planter. Both photos show these mischievous juxtapositions: the danger sign with the frilly cover and a toilet being used as a home for beautiful plants. Hilarious!

Everyone has one, most are embarrassed, hiding them away. Quirky things can bring a smile.

Hahaha, have a good time removing all your bowel!

Definitely would tickle your fancy....

Whatva funny thing and I appreciate younfor sharing and to @galenkp for his nive initiative.

Poison Gas! Priceless! It should be coupled with a "No Smoking" sign!

With gas around, no smoking stands to reason 😂 have a great day Victor.

Tell us about it, I think I can do that. Today started sort-of o-kay. I've had a busy, sometimes painful, and expensive week. It was just one of those weeks one is glad is behind you. So one more trip up the road once again this week, pleasure trip this time, my wife needed to get a few things from the store.

quiet road engage comment.jpg

The view leaving said store. It is still fall but it is being a pretty wet cloudy and overcast kind of fall. We were lucky to get our trip in up to Tern lake. To often all the pictures shared are of nice weather shots, not so nice weather days can be nice photo days also.

It has been getting below freezing over night, ice in the birds water dish this past two mornings. Soon the below view will be of snow not rain, it has been 38F/3C for most of the day today.

wet road engage comment.jpg

New winter tires were needed this year, twice the price of what they were in 2016. But when that scene above is all white and the trees have birch trees have no leaves, the price must be paid. That was yesterday. So now next week will be a busy and expensive week also, hopefully no pain involved though.

I know the last windshield shot is not that great, but I am not a pro at taking pictures when driving, fortunately there was no one behind nor in front of me, it was a kind of nice section of road, I like when that happens you feel like your the last couple on Earth when it does happen. The people, where are all the people? Did the covids get them all? are we the last? What now? What if they are still out there? Waiting to feed on us? What are we gonna do?...oh wait there is another car, I guess we are not the last ones on Earth. Such is life in Alaska we have empty stretches of main roads sometimes, and it makes for a nice drive when that happens.

At 38, it is not long before the white stuff flies, Winter is coming for us in the northern climes. Hope you Southerners are enjoy your spring dance into summer.

Wonderful photos. I agree that rainy days deserve photographs too.

We had a very unseasonably cold day yesterday. 84 F for the high and most of the day was in the low 70s with a nice gentle rain. It's 67f right now. Will make great walking conditions for Sam.

The Navajo would call yesterday's rain a Winter rain. Summer rain comes violently with a thunderstorm...

I used to enjoy the summer rains in California. As a kid I always thought it magical that I could stand in the sun in my driveway and watch the neighbors driveway get drenched in a torrential down pour.

So beautiful, but so cold! I live in Alberta, Canada, and it's bad enough! I went to Alaska about 20 years ago. We drove up. We camped. It was June.

The things that stood out to me were:

  1. The unspoiled nature. I hope it is still like that. It is amazing.
  2. The roads were insanely bad! The roads in the Yukon were okay, but as soon as we crossed into Alaska, nightmare. Lol.
  3. The time of year that we went, it was day all the time! That was magical.
  4. Some towns were so small. They were on the map because there was a gas station, but basically the gas station was the town.

I wonder whether it has changed much. I don't think I would enjoy the 24 hour darkness and the extreme cold of winter. I can barely stand our six months of winter. Maybe Anchorage would not be so bad, being on the ocean, but it would still be so dark in the winter!

  1. Still pretty much true.
  2. Some roads have been somewhat fixed, but most roads are still dirt and gravel
  3. June is still one of the nicest months to visit.
  4. Some towns have grown, most have not, and still a lot of here is some gas or a place to sleep towns.

I drove back up about 5 years ago after leaving Alaska for a few years, there really was not much change at all.

Nice colours in the trees but yeah, it'll all be white soon huh? With your winter tyres (tires) are they spiked? My brother has to have spiked ones up in Finland. Here...Same tyres year round.

I've always wanted to go to Alaska...It's always been so high on my list but I've just never made it. I don't know if I will either, only time will reveal. I'd like to though.

Yep, enjoying spring and the summer...Well, it's bloody hot down here in summer but I'll make it work. 😀

Yes in the winter we run on studded tires, To much ice and snow build-up. It can be very slippery at times up here.

Yeah ok I figured but wasn't certain. It's all so different from Australia.

Lol... I don't even know if I'd prefer winter to summer if I was opportune to live in that part of the world but here in Nigeria, I prefer the rainy days to the sunny days... I hate being so hot that I can't sleep 🙈

Those trees are beautiful, nice weather and nice shot

I've heard through the years three seasons for you guys, Hot, Rainy, and then the awful windy season. We are pretty fortunate we get some windy days, but not a whole lot of them in a row.

😂 You're so lucky indeed, but we're kinda used to it... I mean we grew up in it so it's a normal stuff now

In my experience both extreme cold and extreme heat are oppressive! I was in Thailand for a month in 2013 (it was supposed to be a year, but it did not work out -- a story for another day). It was 40C most of the time and humid. Some people laughed at me and others were worried that I was about to die. I was simply a very hot Canadian. I turned pink, not from sunburn, but flushed from the heat. I was pink during most of my stay. And perspiring. My landlady said she had never seen such a large air conditioning bill. Well, I was happy to pay it. I needed some relief.

However, I felt a bit spoiled at the same time. My father grew up poor in a very hot country. It was regularly as hot as Thailand in his country, and they did not have air conditioning in his home.

I can't be so sure but something tells me I'll prefer the winter to summer if I live in a country like that. The regular sun over here isn't my favourite, I don't think I'd want anything that's remotely more than it

Have a nice day! How I wish to live place which is cold.

Thank you, I hope today is a sit at home day with no need to go anywhere.

That's good!
!BEER

You need to stake more BEER (24 staked BEER allows you to call BEER one time per day)

Man it is really fall there already! Looks cccoooold! It looks amazing there though, super natural!

Yeah it is really Fall, almost winter, I get my winter tires put on sometime next week before things start to ice up hopefully. We have already had a few days below freezing.

Wow, we still had 23 degrees here (Netherlands) today, which is really uncommon for the time of year. Where are you at?

In Alaska. Cold weather can start pretty early. Hopefully the snow waits as long as it did last year. it did not snow until November which was unusual for us.

Oh it must be wonderful to live there. I had the pleasure of visiting Alaska once, but in the summer and it is still one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in my life

I'm so jealous! I so want another road trip through an autumn landscape, too. I don't think I'm quite ready for that temperature yet, but definitely do want the scenery!

Pretty nice gif.

This is a photo of an original painting by the Canadian indigenous artist Clemence Westcoupe on my messy bed. My mother, who passed away a couple of years ago, loved his work, and bought two of his paintings, even though she could ill afford them at the time. I saw these in her home all my life and they remind me of her, her love of beauty, and her generosity of spirit.

This photo was taken last month after I had the frame restored on the painting because it was my sister's birthday. She lives in Florida. Both the frame restoration and the shipping were insanely expensive and we had to find a box in which to ship it, a further expense. However, it was worth it because my sister was delighted. These paintings bring back many memories of times spent with Mom. I thought it was very appropriate that we should each have one.

I still have to hang mine. Looking at it still brings tears to my eyes, but I try to focus on the positive memories, and I think having this painting around will help me to do that. I found out that the artist passed away the year before my mother did. Selling the paintings briefly occurred to me, but I realized that, while I am generally not attached to material things, these are too precious to me to sell. It was a sacrifice to send one to my sister. She is as entitled to it as I am, but, living so far away, she would probably never have said anything.

Still, I love her and I wanted her to also have this tangible reminder of Mom. Mom was a special person. She was a teacher and touched many lives. For part of her career, she taught ESL, and she taught me from a young age to be sensitive to the multiple cultures that surround us here. That is embodied in her love of indigenous art also. I miss her a lot.

(My comments are crazy long today... apologies. Some days are like that. Congratulations if you read all of this.)

img_0.45904602599289906.jpg

Art always conveys a story, this looks warm and comforting. Nice way to remember you Mom.

Thank you. It's interesting how we make associations, isn’t it?

Yup, each holds something that reminds them.

😂 They are crazy long but congrats to me indeed. That painting is beautiful and I felt a bit emotional when you said it reminds you of your mum.

So sorry about your mum 🥺

@merit.ahama Thank you. It was devastating to lose her even though she had dementia and strokes and was not doing well. I miss her every day.

Oh dear, that's a lot to deal with... It's hard not to miss a very dear one

It's nice to have some memories of your mother and it was a nice gesture to restore one and send it to your sister.

My dad was an artist, passed away last year, and all of us, his five children, have some of his artwork hanging in our homes. It's a nice way to feel a little closer to him and remember the good times. Thanks for sharing.

I'm sorry to hear about your Dad. That is a very personal and wonderful way to remember him, by his art.

Long comments don't bother me in the least. It is nice to have a few things, or that one special thing that reminds you of growing up, and to share them with sisters or other family.

I think it is very important to share with family. I know some families fight over inheritance or heirlooms. My sister and I had a reverse fight (although not a serious one). We each wanted the other to have more, for one reason or another. It is good to have such a kind sister.

Yes sometime inheritance can make or break family ties.

Ohhhhh. The painting is glorious and the attending story even more so.

Thank you. Glorious. What a beautiful word.

Art is beautiful. I love this art bit art dont love me.

Why this? I'm just too happy building my own treehouse next to our house. Also, it's made from the traditional Filipino house which makes this one gives me so much an amazing feeling. I know it's not fancy but this is my ideal house.

I can feel the excitement you had building up this treehouse. Good job on a weekend.

Thanks, yes I can't wait for it to be finished.

That's a really cool project. I like that you're making it traditional. That's very neat.

I'd love to live in a tree house! Well, I guess a cave would be my first choice considering I'm a caveman, but a tree house would be cool.

How long is it going to take to get it finished and when done are you actually moving into it?

I'm not sure but according to a carpenter it will be 6 days but since I don't have enough materials. I'm just relying on hive in building this one so perhaps it will take time. Even if it's not finished yet as long as the roof will be made I'll be there to sleep and just kill time while writing.

I like the idea of building your own place and I think when it's done you will find great satisfaction from the fact you made it with your own hands. All the best with the build.

Lol yes cave is probably safer Galen considering your previous encounters with trees and heights and being at the heights within the tree.

This does look like a rad project though.

Haha, you clearly remember my lamentable story of falling out of the ugly tree and hitting every branch on the way down. Alas, my face carries the result of said rapid descent to this day and all I can hope is it doesn't frighten people too much when they look at it.

I'd take the risk to get up into a tree house because tree houses are cool, but your suggestion is probably more prudent, and besides caves are more my style.

I enjoyed that story very much, still need to make a meme for it.

We all fall from trees and hit every branch on the way down Galen, you just happened to do it literally instead of figuratively.

It was a brilliantly written story.

Can't even see your scars in your latest post photo to be honest, don't see why scars would frighten anyone - it means you showed up for life.

Have a good weekend

don't see why scars would frighten anyone - it means you showed up for life.

Legit.

I showed up. I keep showing up. The alternative is less than appealing.

Fancy sometimes isn't what we want and I could understand why you like to have your own tree house... Keep building and maybe show us the completion of it 😌

Sure, maybe next time, and of course I'll write a post about it since all the money I used in buying materials came from the hive. I'm thankful for hive so I will write a post for appreciation.

Oh that's a great testimony, Hive have been of great help to everyone of us... Can't wait to see your completed tree house

I love tree house. Always want to have one when I was small. Please share its final look when you finish

yes, but it will take time since I'm out of budget. Anyway, if forgetting will be a sin then I'm sorry if I can't show it to you directly. lol thanks

No worries. If you share on our community, I might be able to see it :)

You say it is next to your house, so I wonder what you will use the treehouse for? I think it would be very lovely to live closer to nature. Because winters get so cold here ( - 25 degrees Celsius -- yes, that is a minus sign in front), our homes have to be very warm and removed from nature. The Inuit built igloos, but that was a long time ago. I don't think I would like to live in an igloo. We are really too far South for igloos and too far North for anything that is not solidly built. I have compassion for the people who settled this province as pioneers because it was extremely challenging for them in the winters. My people were not among them. :)

Oh really? Yeah, it's next to our house but I decided to build one since most of the time I want to be alone. I want to have a quiet place to write and just chilling. Thanks by the way.

That sounds very nice: a treehouse in which to write and chill.

Too far North and too far South? I'm guessing that makes you a 'tweener'.

I used to live in cold country. I much prefer Arizona where I am now. I can (and have) ridden my motorcycle 365 days per year. Big smile.

It's pretty Northern. The 53rd parallel. I think Arizona would be far more sensible for human habitation.

You'd really only think that in the winter. 32nd parallel and in the Sonora Desert to boot. One of the hottest places on earth. We get to +50 C every summer...

Oh man I would love to have a tree house! So jealous right now! It looks amazing btw

Thanks, I'm building it because of my earnings in the hive and I want to have a quiet place to write.

That is great. I wish I had a tree house to write in!

Yes, I think you can have one if you really want it.

It would be an insane change to my house haha, I live in an appartment so I don't have a garden...

hahahaha, maybe just plant one tree first. hahaha

That is just too cool. Good for you!

I'll be waiting to see more photos of the project!

Thanks, maybe next week I hope so.

Build your own, excellent idea to make it the way it suits you and your personality. Good luck, hope completion is soon.

Smile... Mine oooo, I hope you will not fall?

This is lovely, I think a tree house is an excellent place for solitude to write. Good luck, I hope you're going to give it a cool name.

name? Oh, I haven't thought about it since my username will be placed at the top. Thanks for reminding me.

Every place of fortitude needs a strong name!

yeah, very true but I have in mind, just a bit shy to say it. lol

I love it. I could spend the whole day laying down on the treehouse chilling, having a coffee, and enjoying the wind.

true, especially in the morning and afternoon. It's nice to lay there or sit while feeling the wind.

When I get home, I want you to make me a house like this. How are you @pauling?

hahaha, it's not me who made it nay, it's just my plan. hahaha

I'm fine man, kaw? It's been awhile..

Kahig kahig pa rin dong pauling

It would be pretty cool to live in a tree house

yes but not a house to live on but a resting place maybe.

Definitely, a place you can go for some peace and quiet

This is me on one of my show days. I have a small head and a long face with big eyes and i might look little bit ugly but its the only face i have, lol.. i love creativity and makeing good money, also meeting cool new friends.
screenshot_20210406_012718_1617669245509_1617670098429.jpg

We all need to work with the attributes we have I guess, and in truth it's what's within a person that really matters. Thanks for sharing.

You're not ugly, know that... Nice shot

Thanks for the compliment

I've always said that I have a face for radio, but you are a good looking man.

For the record: I have a Big round head.. It's big enough that a baseball team I played on called me E. For Eclipse because the sun went away when I walked by.

Lol....thats really funy. But you cute tho

You're cute like that buddy. Ain't no one like you. Self-esteem is all that you need.

Thanks buddy, i regard

You don't look ugly. Everyone is beautiful on their own way

Thanks for the compliment

I bought these this morning and they were kinda cheap seeing how the prices of goods goes up every day. My love for ripe plantain is second to none and so here is my meme of the same plantains.

When you're so hungry that you could finish a bunch without frying.png

I hope you can relate to that 😂 but I'm not asking anyone to join me though, it might not be enough you know 😌

If you didn't call these plantains I would have assumed they are bananas. I have a thing against bananas, don't like eating them unless they're made into banana cake or some other such thing. They're far too mushy in the mouth for me. I know, I'm weird.

I've eaten plantains though, in Papua New Guinea and didn't mint them. Less sweet and harder than a banana. I think they're supposed to be cooked though right? I'm not sure eating a bunch uncooked would be very good for you. 😆

😂 It's not going to be good for me but come on! I'm hungry and can't wait for it to be cooked so I'm taking it all in right away 🤣

Hmm, well don't come crying to me when you're sick and regret eating raw plantains. You're on your own. 🤮

😂 You'll be the first I'll cry to so get ready 😝 thanks for allowing me come complain to you in advance 🤣

Lol...Advance complaining could be a new thing. Maybe there could be a place, like a complaining bank, where people could complain in advance and then later on when they really have something to complain about cold withdraw some complaining and apply it as needed. Hmm, new business idea!

😂 😂 Oh my goodness!!! Did you had to think that far about my complain?
But it's a really cool business idea, maybe you'll be the first to start it then I'll be your first client 😃

I've only met a few people who don't like eating banana and all I can say is, I'm happy not to be like that😂😂 Banana is one of the fruits I can't live without, I literally go out of my way to buy them most times.

I have never actually tasted plantain! They sell it here, but it is not common or easy to get. I don't even know whether it is expensive or not, to tell you the truth. I thought they were bananas at first. The plantain in the stores here is much thicker and bigger. I guess you are not supposed to eat it without cooking it first? One of the sad things about living here in Alberta, Canada is that we don't get very good produce. It's a pretty good place to live in most respects, but the produce is sadly lacking, and I really enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables, so it is a shame. Things do grow here, but just not very well. Some might argue with me. My father enjoys gardening, but he can only do it from May until August. Maybe a little in September? That's it. The soil is reasonable, I think, but it is cold and dry. Still, my father manages to make raspberries, apples, plums, tomatoes, and a few other things grow. Farmers grow wheat and corn. I have been known to plant a carrot when I have the soil. Right now, I don't have a yard, so there is nowhere to plant. (How did I get onto the subject of gardening from your post?)

😂 😂 I love how you got to that subject, I was having fun reading through... You can continue if there's more to know about you 😊

You planted carrots? I love carrots especially with spaghetti 😃

I relate to this well. Hunger is a devourer, you won't wait because the frying process could delay. So, why not eat away.

😂 Yes, I'm glad you got the gist. And it's still delicious without frying

well you got me there, lol

By the way, really? you can eat it all? I think I can only eat 2 bananas consecutively.

😂 The hunger in me could make finish it I guess 😃

I've never tried Plantain, because I am allergic to bananas. Just way too close in appearance to make me try.

We have a little bitty plant here in the desert that is called Plantain. I don't know that it is related, but it is less than 2 inches (5 cm) tall in it's full flowering glory :)

BigTom you're allergic? Pardon my ignorance, what kind of reaction do you have to bananas if you ingested some (if you don't mind me asking out of interest), I've never come across anyone with this allergy, I didn't actually even consider it existed.

Sick to my stomach and wild temperature fluctuations. My father made me try it a couple of times and I also had the same reaction from stealth bananas in fruit salad.

For the record: I can eat banana bread like a machine and banana popsicles are my favorite.

Hey Tom.

Thanks for the reply. Hmmm definitely not pleasant, I totally understand why you avoid them.

Interesting that it's only raw banana that sets you off but cooked is ok. At least there's an upside - banana bread for the win!

Have a good day

Wow I never thought there are those that are allergic to bananas too, it's cool though

I'm the only one I know that is. It's pretty weird.

😂 Not weird at all, I think @galenkp said something about it too like that 😬 or not?

You what? Ate them raw, oh dear are you ready for the rush....

😂 No I didn't, I dare not to but I might because hunger is massive 🙈

Phew I almost thought you had....

I met up with a group of long riders for lunch on Sunday. We sat for hour and a half, had a good time then adjourned to the parking lot to continue. Since we were outside I fired up a cigar.

One of the guys said "You know Big? Seeing you in this light with the cigar and all you remind me of a movie star."

"Come on. Which one?"

"Lassie. Taking a shit."

True story.

LOL now that sure is huffing and puffing, poor Lassie was a collie dog if I'm not mistaken, perhaps tell your buddy you more of a lion dog....

You must have been in Africa by now, that look like mine, let me go check my kitchen 🏃

😂 😂 Check very well and come back, let's laugh at you together because that plantain is mine alone

Hey... Momma natures version of the hot dog. Not man made.

untitled.gif

😂 He's back!!! Actually I was thinking of your name so I could tag you but it just escaped my memory, I wonder how... You're welcome King Of Giphy 😃

You have so many names and I agree with all them ESPECIALLY HOTDOG 🤣

Hey... Would a really Good Hot Dog be called a ...

G-Dog..?

untitled.gif

I can eat plantain for days! Of course I fry them first, Merit I don't know why you want to finish a bunch without frying first😂😂

My favourites are boli though, first of all the aroma fills me before I consume the main products. Thinking about it alone is making my mouth water.

😂 Is hunger that want to make me eat a whole bunch na? But I didn't again, I changed my mind after much begging from my fellow engagers who love me 😊

😂😂 thank God you did. I don't want to hear you got hospitalised because of it.

To my fellow #hustle, taking care of your body is part of the process. #Weekend HUSTLE!! Btw this is pic taken by Samsung S20 Ultra

Looks like you're stretching alot of muscles to take this shot.

There's some serious dumbbells there bro. I like it. One of my mottos is, lift heavy shit, and it seems you're doing that.

But never forget...Every day is leg day. 😆

Thanks for getting involved this week mate.

Lol yes leg day every day.. not gonna become a chicken

Exactly.

Nice one here. A weekend to burn down calories and fats and build up muscles.

So one of the things my partner and I love doing is taking funny or happy pics with our teddies haha. This picture was taken for the birthday of a friend, we organized a teddy party for them with beer and cake. I guess it's a bit silly but we always have a lot of laughs making these pictures and I love that we are both silly like that
image.png

It's not silly at all! Loads of people do this actually. My mum took a teddy all through Europe and took photos at all the famous places. She had great fun doing so. Now she's gone, everytime I see one of those photos it makes me smile.

Great share...And I noticed they all have a brew as well. ✅

Ah we like to take the donkey travelling as well and take pictures with him! And they gotta have a bew of course, no party would be complete haha

Can't leave donkey home!

Ahahahahaha. Teddies are a whole lot easier to party with than cats! Just sayin'

Getting close to 5 pm at your place, isn't it? :)

Pretty close! 3 pm here... But on weekends you don't have to stick to the 5 pm rule right?

Snapchat-735037683.jpg

Snapchat-1697698661.jpg

The first picture has me, hubby, and my son in it. We had a family day out on a weekend, it was my son's birthday. I took the first picture when we were already leaving the place, unfortunately, my son wasn't looking at the camera.

Another thing I love about the first picture is how beautiful the sky was, it made the picture look more lovely to me.

The second picture of my son was taken on our arrival at the place. I wanted to have a nice cute of him as the celebrant of the day. From his pose, you would be able to tell that he made the picture look good with his pose hehe.

It was one of the amazing moments I've spent with family this year.

What a nice looking little family you have here and that lad? Looks like a happy little chappy.

It's really cool of you to share this picture with us and I hope y'all had a really great day!

Yeah, we did.
It was fun-filled.
For some reasons I'm not clear with, I do not know why my son wouldn't play with other kids at the park in the children's playground. A big boy at that 🤦‍♀️.
Well we just let him tag along with the hope that when next we visit a place like that, he would feel free to play with other kids hehe.

Maybe he wanted to spend time with himself, working stuff out and just finding a nice central state of mind. I do this a lot so makes sense he might want to also I guess. 😊

I guess!
You may be right.
I didn't even think that.
If at all it happens again, I would know what to do 😊

😬

Wow you're beautiful and your son is so cute... Happy to him in arrears, looks like you guys had so much fun together, that's just lovely

Yeah we did. Thank you

I come late due to internet issues, but this looks awesome. Let me see. I got some pictures already uploaded for some posts, but since they are mine I can plagiarise myself.

These were taken this week. Another banana harvest almost ready to be pulled off from the branch. The second kind in particular was a favorite of grandpa.

If one has never plucked one's own banana one has never lived.

A wise old saying from the G-dog.

Truer words have never been spoken... nor written.

Wow. Those plantains are special species. They look entirely different from.what we have here. Nice though.

I didn't take pictures of the plantains. Those are just different kinds of bananas.

Wow. Bananas look much different from my end.

Yes. I mean these are types of bananas. I don't even known if they are endemic or what's the deal with them.

I see a stagnant growth on the bananas too. It isn't the best of bunch.

This is a picture of Connie in BFE Wyoming. A little bitty town that I stayed in because of getting caught in a Thunderstorm late in the afternoon. I coffeed up and headed out (for Las Vegas) just at sun up.

image.png

Something compelled me to stop at this statue even though I had a long way to go and was on a schedule. That is a memorial to 28 people that lost their lives in a local coal mine disaster. I'm not sure why, but it had a profound effect on me and I can't look at this photo without thinking of the line from "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" by Gordon Lightfoot.

And all that remains are the faces and names of the wives and the sons of the daughters.

Wow so much to say about just a bike I'm seeing right now 🧐 but it's cool and I can only remember you promised me a ride just last week 😌

This is the one that is going to go away. It is genuinely fast and steady. I've put a lot of miles on that bike...

Oh that's great to know, you sure do know a lot about bikes

Nice wheels Tom, many happy hours in mileage!

Stopping off to learn a bit about the regions history always leaves one confounded.... Work has always been dangerous, just getting in a vehicle today is much the same, somehow when many are lost in fatal accidents it does shake one to the core.

It's a really small town (maybe 3000) in a really big area, so you have to think that everybody there lost someone in the disaster. I don't know why it affected me so, and still does.

Some places do affect us, perhaps we heard a story when young which is in our memory bank somewhere. Enjoy the ride don't linger on the past too much.

A nice bike and a nice place to stop by happenstance. It's always sad when one hears about such loss of life of people simply doing their jobs. One thinks of the families left behind, as per that line you quote.

It's just amazing how that affected me. I feel it every time I look at the photo.

Stuff like that sort of makes one appreciate life a little more. Or should.

Sometimes, I wonder how Kawasaki bikes get to the US having heard that US engineers makes some powerful bikes too.
This you bike is an envy for me. It fully padded and standing firm.
Here, when it storms, we enjoy the wind and stay under it. It's cozy and all the kids too wanna play in it. Over there, you guys run away to safety and coffee to keep warm. Isn't nature amazing?

In truth? US bikes (Harley Davidson) are loud, slow and underpowered. I've been riding Japanese bikes since 1964. In that time, I've owned one Harley and hated it.

I have test ridden the new Indian a couple of times, and liked it fine. But it was slow and heavy, too.

Well, I wanted out of that storm. I stopped at a closed gas station right at the edge of the little berg to keep from getting completely soaked. When the rain let up a bit I could see there was a motel less than a mile away. That's where I spent the night. I was a bit over 1000 miles from home and would have put in another 100 miles that day except that riding in a rainstorm is not all that much fun.

That bike looks strong. Here, in the east, Japanese bikes are very famous for speed and durability.
If I am not mistaken, there are more bikes than cars here. .

What if it falls down... Kind of thinking though🤔

I always wear armored riding gear with helmet, gloves and boots. I haven't been down on the road for over 40 years but still know that it's inevitable.

Or did you mean falls down in a parking lot? That I have done, a couple of times with this bike. I can get it picked up, but usually there is some one right nearby to help with picking it up.

When talking about bikers my parents always used to say " There are two kinds - those that have come off and those that haven't come off ....Yet" They were big into Yamahas for many years. Those things are often way heavier than they look. Trying to lift up even a 600cc for me is hectic, I don't know how people lift the massive ones.

The ST Owners Club would say "It's not if, it's when you are going to fall down". They also used 30,000 miles AND three years to call a rider 'experienced'.

There is a technique to picking up a big bike. Like this:

Yup I guess there's risk inherent in all things just to different degrees, bikes leaning towards one end. Over here the majority of the time it's caused by idiot car drivers who don't check the road & especially their blind spots properly and taxi drivers - taxi drivers here do not give two hoots about anything.

Shot for the link, I'll have a watch and keep it in mind incase I ever need to lift a bike again (doubtful)

Here it is usually a left turning vehicle that 'didn't see' the motorcycle. I'd guess that would translate to right turns. I wonder if anyone has ever checked the frequency numbers for left and right drive?

Wow! That's good to hear, good to know you have had experience

A nice tribute to the miners, I think the song fits many lost disasters not just the Edmund Fitzgerald. Gordon was a great balladeer. He has a lot of great songs, one of my favorites of his is Cotton Jenny, always liked that tune from day one of hearing it. Of course now I need to go listen to both tunes.

I just couldn't get enough of Lightfoot in the 70s. What a prodigious song writer and a great performer also.

So now I have to go listen to Cotton Jenny, too!

Such a contrast the two songs make.

There's another I remember well-I can still sing it mostly fifty years later.

Hello friends, this image is one of the most recent photos on my phone and the funniest 😃 guys hope you can see clearly? Did you see what these mother fuckers were caught doing in my sitting room?

It was yesterday when I returned from work I prepared something for myself to eat all of a sudden I start hearing strange noises as I checked to see what was going on I saw these two cockroaches on the floor committing fornication🤣🤣.

Well, let me keep quiet because they may be married. But the fact that they couldn't just do it in private is what angered me the most. I even tried separating them but they were glued to each other🤣.

If you are reading this stay safe and be bless.

I don't think they're married at all...I think they met in some dark corner where one was parading itself offering cheap sex. Money changed hands and they got busy straight away. That's when you came in and disrupted their moment.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣@galenkp you are very funny. But you might be right though, but I had to stop them because my sitting room ain't no motel😇😅 I had to disrupt them. Even after hitting them with a bunch of broomstick, they were still stuck together😆 I had to use my hands to separate them by force😅😅😅

Hmm, sometimes one is forced to separate fucking cockroaches.

#ithappens

😂

🤣🤣🤣 absolutely, how can there be torturing me sexually 😰🤣🤣

Who solemnized the wedding of cockroaches? You? 😂🤣😅

🤣🤣🤣hell no, I think they should have a pope or priest for that. 😰🤣🤣

When wearing makeup isn't part of your lifestyle, you can't even handle the brush well then you decided to do something light and upon going out you find yourself poking ears in the air seeking out some negative comments 😂😂.

Just come out clean and be contented with your looks/appearance. 🌹

I like your view on the matter...Be contented with your appearance! I think there'd be many more happy people if they showed such contentment.

This is so clean. Without makeup, the world will not experience deceit from ladies of the world anymore. I live you intuition. Keep it up.

😂😂😂😂

This angle you are coming from is very strong oooo...
😂😁

Which angle sis? I am just been patriotic to the no-makeup gang

The deceptive ladies part is what j was talking about 😂

At first I thought you had wanted to see selfies but since you don’t… How about this photo.
Taken with my cell - check.
It was taken last Sunday because I wanted an avocado toast topped with ‘an’ egg for a hearty breakfast. Cracked the first egg and - double egg yolk, cracked a second egg and - whoa- another double egg yolk. What!? That has never ever happened. I can’t even remember the last time I had one double egg yolk. Never two. So I looked it up and apparently there is a chance of 1 in 1000 to get a double egg yolk (caused by overly enthusiastic ovaries of mostly young herbs - paraphrased from the Google search results).
Explanation - check.
I guess the photo could also be used for a meme of some sort, I guess. Anyway I thought it was funny. 😸

Two double yolkers in a row? I'd say the universe is trying to tell you something here. I'm not sure what it is though...Maybe,

She who has two double yolkers in a row shall enjoy double the prosperity than she would have had not those double yolkers come her way.

Hmm nah, that doesn't feel right...I'll have to think on it some more.

Yeah, I'm just as clueless. But I got to say, nothing special - good or bad - did happen, at least until this very moment that I'm typing this

Clueless is ok sometimes. People like us own it.

Absolutely!

I spiced up my garden picture^^

Garden MEME

PicsArt_09-26-04.45.06.jpg

How does your garden grow?

With Silver Bells

And Pepper Kicks

And spice girls all in a row

Haha! This is gold mate! Exactly what I was hoping to see. Great effort.

I've had some of those kung fu peppers, you know, those ones that pack a mighty kick. Sometimes I wonder why I go back for more. But I do.

Thank you having this cool weekend initiative. I always get a kick out of it.

Great to hear. 😊

Spice girls don't eat pepper so they won't kick 🤣🤣😅. Maybe you should contact Ijebu-Nigerians to see how it feels to be specialized in pepper eating.

Wow,

I didn't know Nigerians also loved peppers. 🔥

Work done, strawberry post online, now it's time to enjoy the weekend and put my feet up. Will hardly have time to engage to this Weekend here, but this smartphone photo of delicious "Krapfen", a sweet Austrian specialty filled with apricot jam I did not want to withhold you ;-) have a nice weekend

krapfen_2_.jpeg

Yum!

I was talking about Berliner's with someone only yesterday and they look similar to krapfen I have to say. Apricot ones sound yummy...But...I see a four pack there...I wonder how many will be left after you've been into it! One? None?

No, I made the big mistake not to hide away the box by time, so I had to divide them and got just one. Yes, it's the same als "Berliner" but of course the austrian Krapfen ist much much much better ;-)

Of course the Austrian ones are better!

I've been to Austria actually and really loved it. Salzburg was awesome. I did the the ice caves, a salt mine tour, went to Hangar 7 and way more. was cool. And great food!

https://www.eisriesenwelt.at/en.html

Wow didn't know about this ice cave! That looks great on their website. Salzburg is a very nice town I like it. Graz where I live is simular, just a little bit bigger, not so much of these lovely little streets here.
Thank you for curating me. That makes me proud beeing mentioned on curangel :-)

You should check that ice cave out mate, it's very cool! Literally.

I'm always happy to curate good work. :)

;-) isnt there sleeping time in Australia? ;-) The ice caves are now on my what I want to see in my home country list and thanks again.

Haha! Awesome idea! The irony and happenstance of this particular topic is beyond measure. I took this photo just a few days ago, in fact, while making dinner, for a very particular reason and a very particular person who goes by the handle of @galenkp. I present to you... Dinner, with Salad Touching Hot Steak

20210915_174603.jpg

I didn't really have a reason to post this other than to taunt you with it, and now I have that reason. I thank you and salute you. 😁

(I'm feeling mighty smug right now)

 3 years ago (edited)

Oh no...This plate is so wrong. I mean...

Steak: Check.
Chips: Check.
Salad: Check
Hot touching cold: Fail.

A good looking plate of food mate...I'd spend a few moments separating hot from cold though. 😀

Now, you made me want to eat. The salad in the meal makes me salivate.

It was really good, too! Om nom nom. 🤤

I saw this while driving and its by far the strangest advertisement logo/structure thing I've ever seen. I had to share it with someone. I think its for a sex shop.

It would probably be a good image for a meme as well. Feel free to use it if you have any ideas.

20210918_153014.jpg

Now how did you get to sex shop?

Advertising for someone.... anyone to notice!

untitled.gif

I just drove passed it on the highway but I don't know how you get to it or anything. It doesn't look like the type of store I would want to visit hahaha

That sounds like a good Urban Explore coming up....

Smile......... This is really fabulous, infact it is amazing, is it a kind of graphic or ?
I love it, I love it, I love it ❤️❤️

Sense of humor, after all even children know... it's the adults that construe stupid ideas.

Dancing little bird, what's your name?

Budgie of course...

Okay nice 😘

This is about the weirdest advertisement I have ever seen. This shouldn't be in the public, minding that kids will.be walking past that place.

Yes I agree. Its not in a place where kids walk - it's located on the highway, but there is still a chance of them seeing it from a vehicle. I don't want to demonize nudity or the human body or anything but I definitly have mixed feeling about it overall because it's so strange. For me it's a mix of funny and disturbing hahaha

It's worth sharing my friend, at least, there are no kids on the hive blockchain ahahah.

Haha! This is gold, and an advertisement for a sex shop? Lol...Normally I guess they'd use boobs! Oh well, I guess it sends a message...I'm not sure what the message is though.

I'm so not sure of what the message could be either 😂

Come on...You know. You're just being coy. 😜

Ahaa I know that for sure but coy is cool too

Coy is ok indeed.

Haha yeah I don't know for sure if it's for a sex shop, that's just my guess, but I can't really imagine what else it would be? lol. Maybe it's an artist or something? It does send a message but it's a confusing one hahaha. I saw it in Belgium

I'm calling it a sex shop because it's funnier to do so.

Those Belgian's are odd-balls sometimes...Oh hang on...I think I made a funny. Odd balls.

🤣🤣🤣

😂 😂 😂 😂 It's so funny that it's so not right... I wouldn't want this to be done anywhere in my country or where I pass through... It's kinda improper and may even seem like a sexual abuse to some persons 😂

This is so strange. It made me chuckle. It seems like, most of the time, as @galenkp mentioned, a sex shop would use the female form to advertise. There is something sacred about male genitalia. In most countries it is hidden most of the time, while this is not necessarily the case for female nudity. I was discussing this with a friend the other day. When I go to the swimming pool, although there is a family change room, frequently, there are little boys who are over the age where they are officially allowed in the women's change room running around like little madmen around the naked women. I asked my friend (who is male and also goes swimming) whether there are also little girls over the age of five whose daddies take them to the men's change room. I was unsurprised to hear that there are not. He has never seen such a thing. It is not that men here don't take their daughters swimming. Rather, if their daughters are over a certain age and cannot change their clothes by themselves, the men seem to feel it is right to take them to the family change room. This is what leads me to believe that there is something sacred about male genitalia. Little boys seeing naked women is okay whereas little girls seeing naked men is not okay. An unwritten rule. I don't really mind all the crazy, loud little boys running around the ladies' change room except that it gets crowded and also, sometimes, they feel a burning need to comment on the naked ladies they see, which seems extremely rude in my opinion.

I'm not sure in other countries but a statue like this, an advertisement like this, would probably not be permitted here...Also, small girls running around in a male changeroom would not be permitted, or acceptable either, dressed or not. Political correctness and all.

Here, in Canada, children under the age of five are allowed in either changeroom. However, there is always a unisex family changeroom available also. While women violate the "under five" rule all the time, bringing older boys into the ladies' room, the reverse doesn't happen, and I feel it is a weird double standard.

I don't think there is inherently anything wrong with male or female nudity, but if there are little boys in the ladies' room, why not little girls in the men's room? It's somewhat moot. Personally, as a little girl, I was happy my father trusted me to change in the ladies' room on my own even when I was under five. I don't think I would have enjoyed the men's room.

In some parts of Canada, such a statue might be tolerated. My province of Alberta is not one of them! Lol. People would write very strongly worded letters of protest indeed.

It's interesting how different laws are across the world.

It is. I try to be sensitive to the multicultural nature of this and other platforms. Sometimes, I probably do better than others.

It's hard to know what's right and wrong in this regard as society's are so different and political correctness has spiralled out of control. I think being courteous and polite in general is a good way to begin.

Omg I couldnt believe it in my eyes. It's out in the road. Really strange. I am really curious for the reason why they use this

Hahaha oh my, my tea nearly came out my nose! This is hilarious, how would this entice anyone to buy something at that shop?

hahaha, that's one of a kind advertisement but I wonder if it's fine to censor it a little bit right at that statute. lol

Oh MY GOD, what Happened to your pants 🙈

Damn this is insane🤣 putting out stuff like this in the road side as adverts they are exposing and embarrassing the male folks😳. Just in my country a muslim state is set to stop clothe shops from using images to sample clothes😃

PXL_20210926_222533265.jpg

Super late this weekend, but finally got a chance to take a photo that made some sense. I took this one in my new job's office; I got back from a weekend vacation, went in on a Sunday night to process payroll, and managed that photo of a piece of metal that is on display in the office area. Now, you might think "wow, you had to go in on a Sunday afternoon to work...not cool." Yet it is; the new job is at least making me feel engaged, and that is light years from where I was ago a month ago.

Looks like a pipe flange, maybe water I'd say. It's a pretty cool shot to be honest. I like it. I also like hearing you say your work is engaging you; that's a good sign. Also, did you see my latest posting contest? I hope you'll get involved; it's an easy one.

Oh yeah, I do like my coffee...now to come up with something clever with coffee.

I'm sure you'll come up with something good. Just have some fun with it I guess.

Dance mood ignited at my sister-in-law's traditional wedding.

Why the man just sit down looking. Make himself join and dance too.

😅🤣😂 that's the groom. I guess many thoughts are raging in his mind.

He looks a little frightened. Maybe the camera caught him at a bad moment?

Ahaha. He wasn't frightened one bit, I was just not aware of the camera.

That makes sense. Isn't it interesting how easy it can be to misinterpret when we don't have all the facts?

When he money don almost finish for marriage matter, how he wan dance am pass 🤣🤣

Lol. Yeah, that dude on the left in the green be like, there she goes again, hogging the dance floor.

🤣🤣😂 the guy on green is the Groom, he had his share of the stage before this scene. I was watching in amazement what dance steps these ladies were eager to present.

Are you a good dancer yourself?

I dance like a retarded, drunken, spider monkey on hallucinogenic mind-altering drugs whilst slipping on banana peels on the deck of a ship in the middle of the ocean during a storm. It's not something one wants to see once, let alone twice.

🤣😂 OMG!! I was once a too dance among my friends but not with the help of some alcohol. When I get a little tipsy, the dance spirits fingers me to take the dance floor.

When I get a little tipsy, the dance spirits fingers me to take the dance floor.

Well, when one is a little under the influence of alcohol one is compelled to make one's way to the dance floor...Here's a video I found of you doing just that. You're like, where's that dance floor!

😂 @mrenglish is this really you? Why am I not surprised? That's what alcohol can do to anyone that can't handle it

Ahahah. That's not mean, no no no @galenkp
But alcohol could make you do weird things.

Yes o, it's her turn... They should give mama chance to dance, it's a happy day to show any dance step

Yeah. She must dance pop. This engagement was in Agbor last December. There is going to be another engagement this November, I will be sending you invitation soon. 🤗

Ahaaa I love such invites... Hope there will be enough foods and side dishes like garden eggs and that stuff they eat it with 😃

This is a picture of the beach 🏖️ in Kobe. A great spot to sit on a bench or on the sand in the evening and listen to the waves. Its also a popular fishing 🎣 spot.

Great scene here. I love to listen to the waves of the sea and experience fishing first hand. Welcome to the weekend-engagement.

Thanks @mrenglish. I appreciate the welcome. You'd love it here. It's so peaceful and the breeze from the sea in cool.

Is that in Jamaica or where. I learnt that the Caribbean nations have quality access to the beach from and aquatic splendour.

You heard right bro. However this particular pic was taken in Japan.

Japan is a beautiful place too. There is nothing like finding a relaxation spot to calm your nerves after a long and stressful week.

I couldn't agree more bro. This is definitely an awesome spot to relax whether on the weekend or on a weekday.

That bridge looks pretty impressive in this snap. Is this Kobe, Japan?

Yeah bro this is Kobe Japan. It's the bridge that connects Kobe to Awaji Island.

Yeah, I thought I recognised it. That's a fair span between those uprights.

That's right @galenkp the span between them is said to be the longest in the world. I don't know if that has changed.

I think I'd prefer not to be on it when it breaks.

Lol. Let's pray and hope it never breaks.

Awesome, do you do fishing? That would be so much fun... I love to watch people fish and come out happy to have had a good catch... Nice view really

Yeah @merit.ahama went fishing there with the family for the first time earlier in the week.

Oh that's so lovely, I could imagine the joy among you all... Hope there will be another time like that again 😃

I'm sure there will be.

Great, am I invited? 🙈

You'd have to talk with my better half about that one. But the good thing is that there is no charge to fish at this location.

It looks so peaceful. I love the ocean. I was joking to my partner that I would like to go fishing, but I would not like to catch any fish. Maybe I would like to fish with just a stick and no string or hook. He said he thought that would be boring. I thought it would be peaceful. He said I could remove the barb from the hook so that the fish could more easily escape. I said the fish could even MORE easily escape if I don't put a hook in the water in the first place. I have nothing against other people fishing. I just want to sit by the water. I have never actually gone fishing. Have you?

Yeah @harlowjourney I was just saying to another hiver that I went fishing with the family here earlier in the week. (First time at this location).
I'm sure you'd enjoy just sitting there looking out at the water.

@bearmol I feel certain that you are right. How was the fishing?

The fishing 🎣 was great. We caught a lot of fish.

That's great. It sounds idyllic.

Nice bridge, just wouldn't get me on it in a hurry...

Maybe you’d be ok since it’s wide enough to hold six lanes of traffic. (3 lanes in either direction)

That is impressive, perhaps I would if I really had to, seeing it from the land would be enjoyable enough.

😀 fair enough. Is is a definately a sight to behold in the daytime and also at night when the bridge lights up.

@galenkp Sharing my feelings and a personal story with you. I hope you enjoy it and remember I am not a native English speaker (expect some grammatical errors).

The car you just saw has a special place in my heart. Why did I buy this 5 inches toy/showpiece car?

I had 26 passive income sources and one of my wildest wishes was to earn from NFTs and content writing. When I joined Splinterlands both of my wishes came true. I started earning a huge amount from blogging and felt its power. To incentivize me for increasing my passive sources of income I always give myself a gift. Because of Lil Bubble and some of my childhood memories, I have a special place for showpiece cars in my mind. Thus the car you see in this picture represents my success to increase my passive income sources from 26 to 28. I even take this to the office and put it on my desk and even while writing this comment, I have it on my desk. Every time I see this it reminds me of my achievements and gives me the energy to work hard and achieve the rest of my dreams. My dreams usually revolve around making money not because I like or hate money but because with money, I can buy freedom, flexibility, peace of mind, and much more. The word "freedom" consists of only 7 letters but when I think about the link between money and freedom, It's deeper than the ocean.

This is a great comment for a few reasons; I like how you have multiple income streams and that you work hard to increase them. I think you will go far in life with this attitude. I also like how you have this car as a reminder of your success and probably inspires you to work harder, chase your goals and all.

Great work and great comment! Keep it up.

With due respect Sir! It is my absolute honor that you liked it. Hope you will ignore my grammar mistakes in the future too. It is really hard for me to convey my message in English.

Don't worry about your grammar mate, just do your best.

I understand that for a non-English speaker it can be daunting engaging with one born to it, especially when it comes to humour or sarcasm...I can be a little sarcastic and very dry at times which can be difficult for non-English speakers to respond to. It's all ok mate, just do your best.

Oh my! What a story behind that toy car, who would have thought it had such a great story behind it... I wonder what would happen if you loss it somehow 🤔😬

First of all that's a very wonderful question!

@merit.ahama if it gets broken or lost, I will move on in life. I will replace it with something else. I am not type of person that gets sad on things/conditions that can't be fixed. Although it have importance in my life but I am mature person. I will replace it and find happiness and motivation in other things in life like always.

And that's a awesome answer 😊
No matter how important such things are to us, it doesn't stop it from getting lost somehow so we must prepare ourselves towards that... Nice answer really

@merit.ahama

It is my pleasure that my answer-filled positivity in your life too. I really don't get sad for materialist stuff. All I care about is a specific kind of freedom which is currently impossible but I am doing my best. Here have a hint:

Hint 1

Hint 2

Those hints are the specific kind of freedom you were talking about? That is so cool and come on! How is it impossible now? You're so good at it, I wish I could even not up to half of what you did there

Nice a lot for sharing it with me @dlmmqb

@merit.ahama

This freedom is not available in my country. Anything goes against religion..........

Even if my parents find out they might disown me and my society will kill me for sure. I will not stop fighting for my freedom thus I need money to move out of my country.

Ahaaa what are the hints about? I'm not sure

@merit.ahama

Click on any one of them it will redirect you to it.

This is really admirable and I love that this little car represents so much for you. It's a beautiful concept that will keep you inspired to keep going.

@andrastia
I am glad you liked it. Do have anything similar (anything falls in the domain of motivation) to share? I am all ears.

Hey @dlmmqb

Thanks for the reply, yes, I have many many treasures, all with different significance. I'll quickly share two with you from when my parents were still around.

This first one is a silver bottle top that I found at a flea market. It was pitch black but I knew it was silver. I paid R30 (about $2) for it. I took it home very excitedly and when next saw my father, I asked him if he could clean it up and turn it into an inkwell for me. He was a smith and he enjoyed a challenge. My mother found the cut glass bottle to fit it. It is hallmarked (although they are very feint from wear and tear) which date it back to the early 1900s. It's probably worth 10x that just because of it's age and that it's sterling silver, but it's worth so much more to me because it was a treasure that everyone else had overlooked, but I saw it for what was under the dark patina.

Inkwell.png

This one is similar, but I found it when I was about 10 years old. My mother was a gem cutter and I often used to go to her weekend geology meetups. They had a sort of "throw out" junk pile of stones that weren't worth selling that people could dig through to see if there was something of interest to them.

I found a wolf that day.

My mother then cut it into this pendant and had it set in a silver setting.
Again, it was worthless to everyone else, but to me, there was a wolf in that stone and it wanted to be found.

I collect little things like this and treasure them all because to me they signify so much more than what was on the surface.

Wolf Pendant.png

@andrastia

Sorry for the late reply. You r a genius person. I am happy that you r proud to tell about your parents work. Many of new generation people are even afraid to share about their routes. My dad was a once Taxi/cab driver.

I am really impressed you really learn alot from your parents and its in your genetics. Imagine if you can spot cryptocurrency like this, you will be a millionaire by now. I hope your valuables will be kept safe from any harm or bad eye. I wish u a lot of good luck and success for your life.

Sorry, I can't comment about the images you shared (they look awesome but in more details like price, and more details are not my area of expertise) as it's not my domain but from phycological point of view, I understood everything you try to convince. Your personality type is some kind of related to people who are proud of what they have and you have a positive personality.

Nice reminder to keep going!

@joanstewart Gald you liked it! It cost me only $4.5.

Perhaps one day the real thing, keep working at the crypto.

That was one of the reasons to buy it!

Good morning, it's Sunday here and I would like to share the picture of the monkey of Saudi Arabia.

inbound1544976244352964117.jpg

Last month,we went to the mountain part of my workplace in Saudi Arabia and I found many amazing things out there. The mountains, the cliff, the river, the valley and most of all the mountain full of monkeys living there. When we stopped, I got out of the car and took a picture. My boss was afraid for my safety, maybe they will attack me. They surely love banana but we didn't have. I threw some bread and they ate. That was the first time I saw a monkey here and I felt the tender love of the mother monkey to her child, hugging her while walking around. It was so amazing, how she loves the baby monkey. Their sizes are big like a 7 years old baby, that was why my boss felt worry when I kept walking near to the foot of the mountain where they stayed. Above the mountains had a lot of monkey. If I only have a good camera. That's my own picture for this week engagement with you @galenkp .

Thank you so much.

Monkey's showing other monkey's their bananas. Lol.

I htink you were pretty brave going that close to these things...I'm not sure if they wold have attacked but if they did you would probably have come off worse for it.

Yes, the children of my boss avoided me and they kept on shouting not to get near to the big monkey. They said, it happened bef9re because the teenager teased the monkey. But me , I gave them foods.

Best not to get mauled by a monkey.

Nice picture. I also often see monkeys in Son Tra Peninsula where I live. I absolutely love them. This is because when I see one, the first thing that I think of is that they're like a human. Have you ever seen a monkey walking on stilts? They're so cute!

I enjoyed that time. It was my furst time seeing so many monkeys in the mountain, when they saw me , some of them got near and some were running up above. They were living like a big community. All you can see are the the heads of monkeys from a tiny to a big one. So cute I saw a tiny one hugging her mother while walking. Thank you for dropping here.

Here's a picture of me contemplating if I wanted to go to jail for beating up my boyfriend.

Lol...Yeah...You certainly look like you want to beat up someone. Or already did.

😂😂 he was really pushing me and I was ready to give it all up

He's a brave man. Hopefully you didn't hurt him too much. :)

The sky looks sad but It contains a big love in this picture....I would rather say that “ The person who loves you is not the one who gives you everything, just someone who is beside you and takes care of you until the end of your life”

img_7103.jpg

Men. This is so cool. The blue sky and the waterfront building all made sense. I am calming my nerves with this scene.

Wow I'm being emotional from the photo and what you said about it... The sky is indeed not bright enough but the love under it is very bright.

This is an interesting image of the sky and city across the water. Which city is this? I cannot pick it.

Best friends, someone you can count on makes this meaningful. They could be enjoying the view, perhaps discussing something troubling, picture tells the story!

The sky looks cool actually and I'm loving this scene. The one who takes care of you till the end sums it all.
Some may give everything but their love may be toxic.

@galenkp

I made all these memes specially for Weekend-Engagement 68. I hope you like them.

Some time hive users can't decide which crypto token to give in comments so they spam every token they can.
242783707_1525450394464938_876893457273954189_n.jpg

This actually happened with me once. Splinterlands one curator give me 5$ upvote and another one come and give me 6$ downvote saying my Splinterlands memes are effortless. I didn't argue with anyone as I can't afford more downvotes.
242720069_590922588592003_5888188191772683732_n.jpg

This is really happened with a lot of us. Since our accounts are small, we usually check for prices of each upvote and end up getting annoyed when 100% upvote is $0.
242762488_541111573655083_6241147876951533838_n.jpg

I suck at meme's so these do have a message to enjoy and smile for a change.

Thank you

A couple of good memes here, I like the last one for sure!

Do you have any of your own photos though?

Umm not really

That last meme got me laughing really

untitled.gif

I can so relate that so well though

Thank you

Funny how the splinterland downvotes claimed all they said to have given you. And that gun, are you gonna shoot somebody?

Nah its just for entertainment purpose no hate to anyone

Ahaha. I thought as much, the cracking looks real. Nice to see you around.

Here’s my fun photo for this weeks topic!

BB6E1BEC-DB96-4CEA-A664-399D16BE7836.jpeg

So with this photo I’m obviously working on a computer. I used to build my own and fix friends computers back in the day but I haven’t tinkered around with a computer myself in nearly 10 years I would say. I got to partake in some fun with it though! I’ll be posting about it in a few days but I’ve never taken apart a laptop before and I needed to for this. It was a lot of fun and I didn’t ruin my new computer yay lol

I normally only tinker around with computers when they cease to work. And by tinker I mean use an axe or hammer, chainsaw, vehicle or C4 to end their existence completely!

😉

Hahah yeah, I'm stoked to have gotten this to work! My old job that I just recently left had accidentally given me 2 laptops. One was on the record, the other was off the record and for testing purposes. Not my fault they never kept track of it! It's a 1,400$ laptop but it was essentially a brick because their hard drive was locked. Went to the store and bought me a new hard drive and Windows and now I have a brand new professional laptop for 200$! I love typing on my computer much more than I do on my phone.

It is fun smashing computers with hammers though. I've done that once or twice ..or thrice.

Now just gotta get everything on here that I need. Took care of Hive Keychain just now, will work my way back to a functioning computer sometime this week.

Oh yeah dude, that's the best sort of laptop...A free one! Nice work.

20210924_171500.jpg

I took this photo today in Istanbul,
In some way I think it's cool.
I made it with my Samsung phone,
the lense of it makes better picture than my drone.
It's capable of ten times zoom,
I am sitting here writing in my room.

The challenge is to tell something about it,
to take the picture I discovered I am not fit,
Walked 10 km around the town,
Felt after it like a sweating clown.

@balte maybe another rap battle but in english?:P

Istanbul is a beautiful place. The picture is amazing.
The high storey mosque is quite conspicuous.

Yes Istanbul is pretty beautiful. I love the city it was my 6th stay there. :)

Wow. That's at Turkey right? I have been to Galatasaray once, spent a month and back to Nigeria. A long time ago though.

Galatasaray is a sport club of istanbul (Beyoğlu) 😁

Sure. We came for a football academy programme then from our university. It was quite a luxury.

Oh that's really great! They have a pretty big stadium

I've never been to Turkey but have been told it's a nice place to visit. I'd like to see it for myself someday, go to some of the memorials and battlefields where my countrymen fought in world war one to pay my respects.

Thanks for joining in this week.

Oh that sounds great!
It's definitly worth to visit Istanbul. You can see a lot of historic buildings of different cultures. And the food here is amazing.

Hive heard about the mix of old and new architecture...And there was a hive user who used to show off all the great food. Not sure what happened to her.

Oh that's really nice. They have a lot of traditional food but also a lot of international food.

Those are Berliners. As a German I love them haha

Berliners are one of my favourite pastries too! I really love the vanilla custard filled ones but the strawberry filled ones are also great. A whole cabinet of Berliners! Yum!

I hate some with KitKat filling and topping! It was so great !

The picture is good though 🤗

You sure did take this shot at a nice stand, the view is so nice and that place seem so cool to visit.

This wide angle view with my phone from this place.

In that post I also wrote:

And my dog photo:

And you dog, its looking so scared but gentle and fragile.
Nice pencil work there. Have a great weekend.

I think that this time she was a bit annoyed about being my model. Posing is hard work...

Thank you.

Ahaha. Your model you say? What would have made a best friend angry, maybe she doesn't like sight of camera.

that is likely truth. but sometimes she has no problem about it.

Ah yes, your dog photo. You get good use out of that one. What's that picture you drew? Looks pretty cool. A purple mouse person wielding an ice pick?

thank you. Pinky is a pig.

Pinky I will tell you how to mine coins, don't cry okay? For I am with you 😍

Amazing work.
You obviously put a lot of effort into achieving these pro results.

😂 😂 He couldn't end the comment without showing off his dog, I'll come take your dog away... I feel oppressed that I don't have a dog 😂😂

With more dogs(and less humans) the world would be a better place.

Lol... Really? That could be true though

When I want to make my own selfie, can't even find a good background, 🙈

Hmm, yeah I agree that the background is a little plain. It actually looks like a prison wall, the question is, are you on the inside or outside? 😊

I am on the outside 🙈

Haha, yeah I figured you were. It's a good thing.

So funny, your reply though.
He could be inside or outside 😆

Lol...Yeah, I like to have a joke now and then.

I see, not bad though.
It's a good thing.
Great sense of humor 😊

😂 Your outfit is superb and the background? I won't say anything about it😷🤣

Really! Wow🤗
Thanks so much 💃💃

A great background. I'm not sure where it is but cool place to take the picture :)

It is the back yard of my apartment,
Thanks for your compliment

Hive Power Up Month - Feedback from Day 20

Seem like everyone has gone to sleep.

I've been asleep...Even machines like me need to sleep at some stage.

Sleep is a natural phenomena

It is indeed. One of my favourite things.

I love to sleep too. One of the things that takes away sleep is the #weekend-engagement fun.
The other day, I dozed off trying to reply one user ahaha

And next a post contest?... I can see why so much engagement goes on in your posts.

Contest post released. :)

I'm there.

@galenkp You must be aware of this funny bird but I was not, not until 2010 😀

One of my guidelines is that I don't want post links dropped here mate. That's not how it works.

I will delete it.

It's an engagement initiative, not a place to promote ones posts. Thanks for understanding. I've had to tell others, one who didn't like being told and unfollowed me. I was ok with it.

Fine with me, I missed that but made amends. Rules are rules :)

All good. If it became a link-droppijg thing I'd stop doing it. I like doing it so I police it a little. Thanks for understanding. I threw your post a vote. It was a good post.

Thanks, I had written another one but then I got confused about whether it was a camera or phone image. I am waiting for the price reduction of Hive. I will then buy and increase my HP to support my friends :)

Hive Power Up Month - Feedback from Day 25

So pretty! A beautiful new day. Soon, the days will be getting much shorter here. I wonder how short they get where you live?

That is similar to here in Canada. It varies in different parts of Canada, but the days get short like that where I live also. Maybe more like 4pm rather than 3pm, but only because of daylight savings time.

Wow. The sun is tearing through the skies to give illumination to mother earth.

Really nice picture... the A12 camera is not bad at all

Nice cloud formations! It's always great to be up before the sin rises to watch it come up...It sort of promises a good start to the day, that anything is possible. Good snap!

This is amazing!!! You should be so grateful to see this yourself... I wish I can and not to see it on pictures 🥺 but it's cool, I love it

Oh that's so nice, I wish I could live in such places

That is a really nice picture but man that is early! I was still fast asleep at 5.45!

Ah I see, too bad you have to get up so early but you do get a beautiful sunrise every now and then!

That is an insanely long bus ride! Is that four hours per day? I assume it takes similarly long to return home. Two hours to travel 30km seems like an excruciatingly long time. I cannot imagine such a long ride every day. I hope you have something interesting to do on the bus.

That sounds insanely frustrating and difficult. I am constantly amazed by how much strength and resilience people demonstrate in facing the struggles of everyday life. Maybe you don't feel strong or resilient, but, reading about what you are facing, I am quite certain that you are both. I hope things get easier for you somehow. I have gone through some very difficult times, and it feels like they will stretch on forever. Then, one day, suddenly, things improve. I hope they do for you as well. Mind you, when people have suggested that things might get better while I was really struggling, I found it a bit of a nuisance sometimes.

It's so nice to wake up with a beautiful sight. Have a nice day, for sure good weather will be.

A great photo and current as can be! Particularly since it is still full dark here :) It's so dark that my dog hasn't even started agitating for his daily walk at sun up. That will start soon.

Great captures when you remember the phone has a camera! Wow nice early hour to enjoy!

nice photo!

So iconic, have never seen such sunset entirely

I love how the clouds are streaking across almost looks like they are being ripped away to let the light in. Well deserved after getting up that crazy early to get the shot :)

Wow! This is truly beautiful. I can imagine how thrilling it is to wake up to this.

Lol, not a bad effort indeed. People in a cloud making fun of someone who looks like an asshole. Legit. ✅

LoL, that is super funny, I must say a Number 1 or two meme if there ever was one.

You sure do know how to make good memes, nice effort and it's fuuny 😂

Ahahahahaha. Kind of a general observation...

Yep. Exactly my thoughts. And assholes on earth should be relatively easy to spot :)

Ahaha. Peeping from the sky. Thats quite hilarious. The sky looks like a blanket on you. 😅🤣😂

Yeah. It's broad daylight and everyone is watching.

Hahaha, too funny. I will try it later, Saudi is cloudy in the afternoon.

😂😂imagine aliens truly exist and they are watching humans doing the most from outer space and they just be like "here they go again 🤦"
