A Sport Fiesta Weekend - My Day As A Spectator

I can bet that you're missing out if you've not witnessed such a day before, a day where kids have fun in a more formal way and you just can't help but feel so excited to watch them do their thing in different styles. I was overwhelmed just watching last saturday, I could happily say it is my best spent Saturday since this year started haha.

I had gone to see my aunt and her kids and it happened that the next day was their sport fiesta which I happily agreed to go with them since it had been long I went out for fun. I wasn't so hyped about it but it changed when we got there as I saw other parents who came around to cheer for their kids, it was a lovely sight to behold.

We got there just right in time for them to start and we were lucky enough to get to sit at a comfortable space where we could get the whole view of what was going to display for us. I had my camera on since I got down from the car so you should start expecting more photos and hopefully you'd feel like you attended the fiesta too haha.

Do you see how colorful the school is? I thought it made their attire for the day shone brighter. By the way, the name of the school my cousins attend is "St. Bridgit Schools". I thought you'd like to know that.

The fiesta started with what they introduced as "Welcome dance" which was done by some of the kids. Their confidence, appearance and ability to dance in same way got everyone's attention and they sure did seem like they were enjoying themselves especially the girls they made to dance as leaders (they led really well with their amazing steps).

It didn't take much time before they had the sport head master make an opening speech which was so hilarious and then they began other activities immediately.

My aunt and some other parents were called out as house masters. My aunt was the red house mistress since her husband couldn't make it to the fiesta. They began the match with the kindergartens to match first and greet their house masters. It was so funny how they were so little and a few of them were actually matching "Left! Right!" 😂 and the others just walked in different manner until they were asked to go sit at their designed spot.

It was an interesting sight really!

And they started the real match sport with my favourite colour house (blue) which my aunt's eldest daughter was in. She was made their Princess (you can see her matching at the front) and then you see the Queen behind her. They all matched towards the spectators and then my cousin took more steps to greet the house masters.

Their formation while they wait for their Princess and Queen to greet the housemasters was beautiful, I had to take a shot of that hehe. This house came first at the last sport fiesta.

Do you see that position?! 😂 I love it too but of course, not as much as I did with Blue house. The red house also had their Queen and Princess in front who led them from the front, a spoke girl who kept screaming "Left, right!" oh my! The strength was overwhelming to watch lol.

This house came third at the last sport fiesta and they showed prize off with the Queen holding it as she matches with them.

Another beautiful appearance for me, I don't like how bright yellow are but I loved these kids in their yellow wears and their matching style. They came second at the last sport fiesta and it showed in their matching vigor again, so much confidence and they had a beautiful Queen too 😅 not sure how that would make them win though, just thinking.

The yellow house also greeted their housemasters, gave back their prize and matched back beautifully.

I know I'll be worse at all these sport things but I do know when I see a bad match display 😂 this colour house (Green) came fourth in their match at this sport fiesta although I'm not sure how the last one went for them. They had a leader who got lost in herself that she kept confusing their steps and they had to walk back to their position after greeting their house masters.

And do you see that they don't have a Princess? Just a Queen but at least they had a good position while waiting lol.

After the match, they had different game done mostly by the students.

It started with the kindergartens again, they had a simple task to fill a container with water and the one who completed the task first becomes the winner. It was both funny and exciting to watch as some kids were super fast than the others. I remember one of the kid who slowly and carefully filled hers, taking our time but we couldn't stop laughing and being amazed at how careful she tried to be and came last position.

They also had four kids talk about body parts with a structure given to them. I could bet that one if not two from among them would make a great doctor, they were so confident with their pronunciations and explanation of the body parts.

Four parents were called out to dress their kids for school as a game and the first to get it done wins a prize, this gave us an interesting scene as we realized the reason for some kids going late to school 😂

And one other fun game they played was the one about cooking, four girls prepared noodles and some parents were asked to have a taste from them. One of the girls got 2/10 from two tasters (what do you think? Lol)

After the game section, they invited the ballet dancers and my cousin was also part of them. I was expecting more but they still tried their best. I can still remember my cousin practicing so much at home and making us curious about how she would be on stage... She actually killed it!

And the cultural dancers did their thing too. The energy displayed during this dance was something else. I enjoyed every bit of the dance.

Blue house won!!!
My favourite colour house, my cousin's house won the first place with yellow taking second and red taking third place. The jubilation was wild as the kids showed off their prize so happily. They won first place twice in a roll and I felt so proud to watch them.

The photos won't be complete if I don't show off my cousins in their different colour house wears... You see my cousin with her beautiful house prize showing it off and her younger ones who didn't participate much but had fun too. I couldn't take a picture of them with their mum (my aunt) and of myself but we sure did had fun watching the kids last week, it was all about them.

We also had some refreshments then headed back home with the kids looking exhausted especially our winner Princess haha.
