Being healthy is one of the greatest gifts ever received from Him.
Nothing can equal the happiness of waking up in the morning, watching the sun shines brightly, and being happy looking at my children happy and healthy.
Have a good day Hivers! May all of you have a great weekend but despite all the odds that we may be facing, let's continue to be thankful to Him for giving us another beautiful day to cherish and to live with.
Now, I am ready to share in our community regarding my Weekend Experience. This experience is worth sharing.
The fight for the invisible
It was a heavy weekday for me because of the 5-day fever that my youngest child has been suffering. These five days were quite too long for an 8-yr old child.
A visit to the doctor at Verallo Provincial Hospital for her laboratory test.
Since I am an overprotective mother, everything that my child needs was pampered by myself only. I woke up from time to time to check her body temperature, let her sip her Pedialyte because of the loss of body fluids due to her constant vomiting, and gave her meds. While I am tending to all her needs, waking up 24hrs was done heartily just to monitor her body status, my body resistance was also slowly dropping too. OMG! I got sick too. But I need to be strong, my daughter needs me more at this moment in time.
The second visit to the doctor was done because she was not feeling better when Thursday came. This time, it was in the Pediatrician’s Clinic, Dr. Carlos P. Layese.
All the medicines prescribed to her by the pedia were effective. My daughter had fully recovered. I continued taking my meds too until Saturday evening and praise God we all rise this Sunday happy and healthy again. The demonic fever was gone. The fight against the invisible enemy already ended. Finally, it was such an enjoyable Sunday!
The invitation
It was last Saturday evening when I felt ecstatic receiving a message from my sister-in-law that we are all invited for an early dinner at Ilihan, Tabogon, Cebu. This is in celebration of their late father's birthday. Isn't it satisfying? After how many days of losing appetite, I can now have a full stomach craving for a heavy meal.
We were all excited, my li’l one woke up early and took breakfast excitedly. She drank her milk and took her vitamins and medicines right away as we are to go to their aunt’s house. It brought more excitement to them when they heard that the package from their Mommy Reggie had arrived and will be unpacked this evening. It gave so much joy and delight.
We planned to go there earlier so we can help with all the preparations. In going there, we never bother their tatay (father) to send us there as he was very busy in his mini-store. We prefer to ride a tricycle.
Since we were in a long fight with the fever, we deserve a treat, a sumptuous dinner was waiting for us at my sister-in-law’s house.
The arrival and the savoring
We came late. The plan of helping them was not realized because when we arrived, everything was set already. All of the viands were ready to serve.
The table was set, and everybody was around. They were just waiting for the time to start eating.
But, hey, hey wait! Something was missing. This will not make the celebration complete if this will not be seen on the table. Exactly, it's the birthday cake. 😜😜
After singing a birthday song for their late grandfather, the dinner started.
The Unpacking
This was one of the most exciting moments that they'd been waiting for, the unpacking of the package from America with love. The boxes were full of surprises! These are ours. Thank you so much to ever-generous sister Reggie Ornopia. The kids were 100% delighted and excited.
What a great weekend! We are so blessed by God for giving us a very supportive family. After all the difficulties that we had encountered, here we are wearing the precious smiles revealing that we won the fight. No one can put us down even the viruses. We are strong and have the strong willpower to fight no matter what it takes.
Families matter most. They are my strength and my weakness. In good times and in bad times, I am always there for them and they are always there for me too. The bond of love and grace with my family can never be equaled.
My weekday was challenging but when the weekend came everything was patched due to my strong faith in God. With Him nothing is impossible. This is the weekend experience that makes me more resilient in the trials which are yet to come.
Thank you for your precious time. My virtual hugs and kisses to everyone.
Hi friend. Very nice picture and weekend experience
Thank you my dear @karbea . It's another remarkable weekend.
You see, it was a great weekend in the end, though I am sorry you and your daughter were sick. Good that the fever went away :)
Family gatherings and sharing love and time are fun! Oh, and receiving that huge box of gifts! Cool :) You shared with us a nice experience, well done. Hope that the next will be healthy for you and your family, and there will be no need to visit the doctor!
Thank you so much @mipiano . I am so glad you read about my weekend experience. It was indeed a happy one after all the challenges.
Receiving gifts from loved ones abroad is pretty cool. One of the best experiences that my kids couldn't dare to forget in their entire life. All the excitement is vivid and is worth sharing.
Hoping if somebody gets sick in the family, it will be gone too quickly (’though I'm not praying for it).
Yes, receiving those gifts will stay in their memory, for sure! :))
