Night Trip at Korean Town in Manila

I am currently residing in Manila. It serves as the Philippine capitol city. Everything in this city is really modern. There are many malls, and it serves as the heart of the economy, transportation, and international ports of entry. If you are a foreigner and want to explore the city, don't be surprised if you come across some food from another country because Manila offers it all. We have Chinatown in Binondo District, additionally, we have several fast food chains that originated from other areas of the world. Anyway, that was just a quick summary of my appreciation for my city. Today, I'd like to tell you where we went last weekend.

Welcome to Manila Korea Town. Located in Malate, Manila.

This is my second visit to this location. The first time occurred a few months ago, and because it was already late at night, we did not have enough time to snap some good spots here. Because we are all very busy last weekend, our visit here was actually a last-minute decision made by my partner. Thankfully, it did not rain, so we had a short stroll around the town.

The district's center is marked with a plaza. Because of how windy the night was as well, some folks in this area are having a nice time. Additionally, I spotted some kids playing nearby and some young people recording videos for Tiktok.

We checked out this restaurant first. My partner tried to ask the personnel if we may get Samgyeopsal and a hotpot at the same time since it offers a hotpot. The employee stated we may have both, but since there are only three of us, each pax would have to pay 800 pesos, which seems pricey. Since we are only 3 people, they are attempting to con us by charging us for a fourth person even though Samgyeopsal Restaurants only offers 499 pesos per person. They claimed that the minimum number of people to enter the establishment is four and that if we do not, we must pay for a fourth person. Partner became irritable as a result and made the decision to find another Korean-Chinese restaurant.

Our next stop is here. Due to two factors, we decided not to eat here. One, it was really busy inside, and two, this restaurant is self-serve. That is, folks here would have to get their meals every now and then. Just picture how many people handled those serving spoons. We cannot guarantee that it is safe to eat here, despite the fact that I am a very hygienic person and the Covid pandemic is still going strong. In any case, they are providing excellent discounts on Samgyeopsal.

Our final stop is Fantastic Chef, which is close to the second restaurant we visited. We were captivated by the unli fried chicken that they were offering for only 50 Pesos when we viewed the menu at the entrance door. And since the three of us had already made the decision to eat here, we just waited for five minutes to enter.

And tada!!! We are now inside and ready to eat! (づ ̄ 3 ̄)づ

Salute to all the staff of this restaurant for welcoming us wholeheartedly. They also served the side dishes as soon as possible at our table.

image.png

Look at that meats!! How many plates of it do you think we eat?

image.png

Oh yeah, let me share with you the main dish that we feast on, their Korean fried chicken is awesome!!

image.png

Bon Appetit!! The Beef Bulgogi is superb! Tho we just tried 1 plate of it.

Since there is a limited hour to dine in, we really made sure that we tried everything according to the conclusions of our meal. Fortunately, we went home with happy stomachs and full of happy moments. That is what my partner really wants to be honest. hihi.

And that wraps up everything we had last Sunday evening. I hope you guys enjoy my blog for today and see you again on my next article. Thank you for stopping by. Additionally, thank you to @galenkp for creating this community and for giving me a chance to share my weekend experiences.

When was there a Korea town in Manila??? That's new to me

Yes meron, actually sa likod lang to ng Robinsons manila. If you know Adriatico street sa Malate, ayun madami ng restaurants don puro korean.

Ahh sa may bandana malate. I think I know that place Pala 🤣

That square seems beautiful with that fountain. All that food looks delicious and made me hungry, even though I just had breakfast. But I have never tried Korean food.

Thank you sis. Actually not a fan of korean food as well. Their kimchi? Aghhh I can't eat that but their japchae is so good!!

Hehe, I have never tried it. There was only one Korean restaurant here a while ago, and it was expensive, so I never went. But I would like to try the Korean food sometime ;)

Ohh you can try it at home sis. You just have to buy pork and then grill it and then u can make some sauce as well.

499 ba un or 599.. basta ganung range lang ate. Punta kayo ng late night para di gaano madami tao. 🤗🤗

Sige sis sabihan ko mga friends ko, gusto ko kasi mga pagkain na nakita ko sa pic mo

hihi thank you mars

Korean food looks tasty as hell man!

The beef bulgogi looks like a khebab. Maybe that’s what we call khebab around here.

yeah korean samgyep is really delicious! You should try it. And the Bulgogi? I think that it's quiet different from Khebab. I also tried it once.

You had a nice time together and I love those pictures too. They look professional to me.
I, too won't like a self-serve restaurant because I see it as not been hygienic to me. Spoons would have been handled by different people even the saliva from the mouth when talking 😬😬

Thanks for stopping by @princessbusayo 🥰
Well I am really hygienic thats why every time that we go somewhere just to eat, I will observe the place first.
