Hey there! Today I wanna show you a deck, that I've played this WR and got 17/25 with it. I believe you can do with it even more.

Let's start with deck breakdown (Deck code you will find in the end):

As you can see this is kinda typical Face Spell Magic deck, but it has interesting synergy because of Frumentarii Researcher.

Mystic Synergy

Most of the creatures in this deck has tribe Mystic. Frumentarii Researcher deals 2 dmg to a random enemy character (incl. face) after you summon a Mystic. On turn 5-6 you can play multiple Mystics together with Frumentarii Researcher and if it's already on your board you can increase damage with Face Spells (Many examples you will find in my Gameplay video from this WR).

It's All about the Face

As you can see this deck has lots of Face Spells that can be used either right to the face and to control the board. Your heavy face spells have good synergy with Arcane Transcendent that makes them 2 mana cheaper which is very cool.

Card Draw Options

Can't say much about it, all of you might have seen this cards. Both All-Seeing Spire and Frenetic Bibliomaniac are very good cards for draw. Encumbered Looter is an extra option, but he's good on your first turns. Fastidious Bookwarm (echo of Frenetic Bibliomaniac) is good to combo with Frumentarii Researcher.

Board Control Options

Time-Bomb is great on early game against aggro decks, because it can trade 2 creatures at once. Lightning Talisman is a must have card in all magic decks now to counter some combo decks like Dralamar Combo or Girls OTK (with Schoolteacher), it's also helpful to remove hidden creatures. Unannounced Arrival is good against Nature or Light spam, but you shuld apply spellbost to it. Some of the 4 drops could be very useful also. Leyhoard is great as a tempo play as well as creature removal or additional face damage for low mana cost (it costs 1 mana if you have 9 cards in hand at the start of your turn).

Substitutions

As well as in every deck you may have expensive cards that could be changed due to the cards you own or your playstyle.

• Ancient Text could be changed for:
  • Form of Power
  • Surpassing Blast (no face dmg)
  • Illuminate (no face dmg)
• Shadow Scryer could be changer for:
  • 2nd Lightning Talisman
  • Balthazar, Blood Magnus
  • Assistant Alchemist

All the other cards are pretty cheap to buy if you don't have them already.

Gameplay with it isn't complicated, most of the time you should hard mulligan your card draw options and Frumentarii Researcher, make your spells cheaper with Arcane Transcendent and destroy the face of your opponent with Mystic synergy and Face Spells.
