Practicing Alcohol Markers

in Sketchbook2 years ago

Hello hivers, we’re now up again to some newly accomplished artwork. I really want to progress in creating artwork using this medium, the color pens or alcohol markers. I always post several art sketches using pencils, so why do I create something new again? So I thought of using my new art materials that were given to me. So as I finished this work, I decided to post it here and share it with you guys.

I used 11 colors of alcohol markers for both of the two faces that I have done.

I always start with light colors until I get to the right amount of shade of the color, but as you can see in the finished product, it is too dark. The shades are really dark because I didn’t put the right amount of shade in some of the parts. So what I just did is add some color to just blend the dark color and make it look a little better.

For my first time using these kinds of art markers, I actually struggled to make artwork with them. I'm having trouble deciding which colors to use, where to place the light and dark colors, and how many colors to use.So I really need to watch some video tutorials on how I effectively make great artwork using alcohol markers. I need to practice and create more and more artwork. If you have some suggestions or tips, please share them with me.
